I can tidy up loads when I'm on a time limit i.e. 15 minutes before my favourite TV programme. Feels like less of a chore then. I do love a tidy house though. I know what you mean about hairgrips - we have hair bobbles everywhere
Glad you're feeling better. Good luck for the essay on Tuesday. I'm sure you'll be fineIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I've just got round to writing to my bank to ask for a copy of the terms and conditions of an old credit card which I have PPI with. The card's still active, though I don't use it and it has no money on it. I do not ever remember agreeing to PPI, when I took the card on I worked part time and had this pre existing medical condition so not sure I'd have knowingly agreed and if I did, I'm sure the pre existing condition wasn't made clear. I can but try anyway:o At one point the balance on that card hit £4k (yes, yes but this was pre-LBM), I barely checked what money as going on the card each month, sure the PPI payments were large.
So, house is reasonably tidy, need to now do the little essay plan thing. Picking up my niece later at 5 so that'll keep my 2 entertained...or dd1 anyway, dd2 will probably feel left out;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Meant to add earlier, grocery shopping was £66 yesterday:eek: I do have pretty full freezers now:o
House is all lovely and tidy, girls been dropped off at cheerleading so I'd better get dinner on.
Just off to do some meter readings to enter in my new app...oops yes I spent £1.49:o But, it seems to be able to tell you the cost of the power you use each day...which would be interesting. Not sure how useful, but interesting:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
We always need more food at holiday time
. I'm only off Thursday and Friday this week but I'll need to get loads because we didn't need hardly anything last week. It will be nice to do the shopping at a leisurley pace and also do some nice unrushed meals cooked from scratch.
Hope your essay goes well today. I wanted to wish you luck last night but couldn't get the PC to work, something wrong with the broadband.....It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Thanks poles - I'm just home now and think it went ok...I didn't forget any important bits anyway:D I'll be happy with a pass, this course is pass/fail..or distinction (which might be a bit ambitious)...so to pass it will be fine:)
We have my niece here until tomorrow afternoon, so I had to buy a few extra bits to keep them all fed. Next week should be a small shop for me...hopefully anyway;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Whoops I've just done a Next order online:o In my defense I used a free delivery code they sent me and it was to order a few jackets that have appeared in the sale - I badly need something, wearing an old one that is ok, but is a bit big and my bro in law said it was an old dear's coat:rotfl: (It's not that bad, really). I also found a couple of pairs of jeans at £10 each so hopefully one of them will fit. If I don't like any of it, I can send it back and wont have cost me anything.
Just ploughing through a onepoll survey...I will get to £40 eventually:p
I've made a hairdresser appointment for Friday - that'll cost me about £20. I badly need a haircut, it's far too long. the last time I went was in the summer so it doesn't exacxtly cost me a fortune, my hair;)
I might take girls to the cinema tomorrow. Niece is going in the afternoon, will see if girls fancy anything that's on. I feel a bit bad that I haven't anything planned for this week - everything costs money:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

It's a good job I have internet problems at home otherwise I would be ordering something. I need new jeans. Mine are so old and mumsy
I haven't had my hair done properly since beginning of October. I do the fringe myself now with proper hairdressing scissors and I cut all of dd's hair myself. I am just going to colour mine. That in itself feels like I've had a trip to the hairdresser.
We might go to the cinema on Friday. We were going to go on Saturday but I said no as part of dd's punishment  It is all so expensive though...It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

It is expensive yes...but we'll go tomorrow with Orange Wednesday so can take my niece too and just pay for me and one dd. Will take our own sweets and drinks but no doubt dd1 will want cinema popcorn at about £4.50 a go:eek:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Make your own! We got the microwave stuff. It's quite nice but don't cook it for quite as long as it says. Burnt popcorn = not goodIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
