    Evening:D
Brrrr it's a chilly one - hot water bottles to bed tonight I think. Mind you, we only have 2 left - dd1 woke up a couple of weeks ago with a wet bed:o Hers had a hole in poor thing - what a rude awakening at 7am, to a wet back;)

NSD again here - not bought a thing...walked to work too so a No Drive Day:T

DD2 has made flapjack and is now asleep on the sofa...no stamina that one;) Dinner will be ready soon - paprika chicken with wedges& onion rings, dd2 has potato waffles.

Nowt else to report. I'll pay my £300 cash into the bank tomorrow at the PO on the way to work - I didn't want to take it in today and have all that cash sat in my bag until lunchtime...tomorrow I can do it on my way in at 11.

  • Oooooh, cold again here:o Sat here fully dressed with my fleece dressing gown over the top, my hands are still cold though but can't really wear gloves inside! I don't want to put the heating on, it'll be on at 3ish later ready for us getting home.

£4-odd received has been paid out from Quidco...will eagerly await that in my current account;)

I have written a letter to my GP asking him to write a note outlining my stooopid illness and the ongoing nature, especially the symptom of extreme fatigue...I am daft but am angling for more time with my Uni work. I have 3 5000 word essays, 2 2500 and a 10min presentation to do by the end of April:eek: There's no point kidding myslef that I'll get that done:o

I'm going to town quickly with dd2 after school as she's off to a party on Sat and wants to buy something to wear as it's a dressy one and she doesnt have anything smart enough of course;) I shall return my jeans so the refund will cover what she buys - I said I'll pay £10 she can pay the rest.

I have to pay in my £300 cash in a mo too - it'll be good to see that hit the account:D

Dinner tonight is sausage casserole - with some yummy butcher sausages that ex's mum bought us - they're the only ones fusspot dd1 likes so ex-mil kindly got us a huge pack.

Ebay listings looking ok - bids on both bags and an old cardi of mine that I was going to throw away;) I found an ELC toy that I'd bought for my niece that I must list - new in box, so hopefully it'll go.

OK, better get to work via the PO.

Great bargain from the Grabbit board this morning - a Silentnight king sizze duvet from Tesco direct for £6.63:beer: I've been looking out for this bargain for a while as every time I see it posted they go out of stock quickly,...so was very pleased to grab one and have it delivered to store for free:T

Nipped to town with dd2 this afternoon - got her a top for the party for £15, I'll pay for it as I bought dd1's nice top in December for a party she went to. Returned the jeans, I am good;)

Couple of bits of food - bread, sausage casserole mix and cheap biccies. Dinner's nearly ready - having the casserole (with free sausages as ex-mil bought them;)) with pasta - yum.

That's the food shopping done - £73:eek: And that included using my £5 off voucher from last week...eeek:o
I was a numpty too - I went to T's, with the intention of collecting my bargainous duvet...but clean forgot, argh:p So will nip back at some point soon.

I was only going to put £10 of petrol in as I've not been using much at all - with walking to work every day I'm barely using the car, it's great:D But T's gave me a 10p off coupon so I put £28 in and it cost £25.40. T's is the cheapest round here anyway...not that 135.9 is cheap but you know what I mean...the least expensive;)

I have no plans for the weekend again...too cold to go out, I'm perfectly happy being a recluse:rotfl: I do have the small matter of an essay still hanging over me - I will do it, promise.

Ebay listings all looking ok - girls bags are now on £20 and £12.50 - pretty good. They all end on Tues/Wed. I must see if there's anything else I can get on there for sale this weekend. I do have one thing I might sell....my Kindle... what a fool i am, I don't really like it:(:(:( I want to like it, but I'm not enjoying reading it as much as I do a book - i miss the feel of a book, the cover...:o I thought of keeping it so girls could use it but both say they prefer real books too. I'm reading the book I've downloaded at the mo, then will decide what to do - all the fuss over saving for it, I'm mad I know;);)

Hellooooo, is there anybody out there?!?:rotfl:

I've had a busy day - I tried to print something for work and realised that my prinetr has no ink:mad: So cue a trip to Argos...which is only 10min away and thought I could pick up the bargain duvet from T's that I forgot to do yesterday;) I've been looking at tv aerials for the tv in my room for a while - I have a little portable tv up the attic, meant for my room, but as there's no aerial point I've never been able to use it. I tried an aerial once but had no luck. Then thought I should have a freeview box with the aerial connected -so found a box in Argos (half price at £20), an aerial (20% off at £15) and a scart lead (half price at £3.70) - so I bought all that along with the ink, and used a £5 Argos gift card I had lurking about.

I spent just under £50 on it all....and after an afternoon messing about with it in my room I now have a tv that works:beer: It was a right palaver though, at first I only had a few channels but found if the aerial sits on the top shelf on a pile of books then I get all the channels:T I had to empty the shelf unit though (piles and piles of books), pull it out so I could move a shelf up higher to fit in the tv, then move it back and refill with books. Nearly done though and am soooo pleased:) Worth spending £39 on (the other £10 in Argos was the ink cartridges).

DD2 is out at a friends - she's off to a party later. I'll walk to collect her - it's only 5m away, but we have snow:o But I fancy a couple of glasses of wine, my Sat night wouldn't be the same without it!

So - there's £13left in my spending account after today's goodies and the petrol yesterday. That's fine, I shouldn't need it now this week - actually, I will - postage on my ebay stuff. Some ends on Tues night, some on Wed. But can replace it with Paypal money. I have £8ish in my purse -going to give dd2 a couple for pocket money. I told them if they pull their fingers out, help round the house, keep rooms tidy, make beds etc, do school work, then I shall give pocket money - right now I don't give them any. But dd1 still has been a lazy a$$ so none for her. DD2 hasn't earned a lot but has been trying, so will give a little bit and tell her with more effort it could be more;)

Anyway, better go finish tidying my room and hoover - can feel the dust up my nose;)

Hellooooo, is there anybody out there?!?:rotfl:

Sorry! Not been on for a few days....

Great news about the TV. I have just managed to get my freeview box working again. So nice to have more channels upstairs. I like going up to bed really early some nights and just have the TV on up there.

    No snow here....yet :p

Pixie - our snow has now gone, to be replaced by rain. Hope that's the end of the really cold weather!

Same here Dangers, it's nearly gone round these parts now. We're nearly neighbours aren't we?!!;)
I only like snow if it gives us an unexpected day off school...otherwise it's just a complete pain:o I'd be happy for the coldness to go if only to save my heating bills!

  • Good morning:D
I'm the only one up here, had my shower, watched a couple of Emmerdales on the planner:o Now need to get doing something useful.

I claimed a £10 voucher from VO at long last yesterday - it's been added to my Amazon account now...and just checked TCB and had a bit of payable money so claimed Amazon voucher there too - £6.60 (which was 40p more than if I'd taken it as Paypal money).

I ordered a DVD from Amazon the other day - One Day, that's released tomorrow. I then had a fit of thriftiness and cancelled it yesterday - but it was too later, they've posted it...oh well, I tried;) It was bought with an Amazon voucher so I haven't parted with cash I suppose. And I've been desperate to see it since it was in the cinema in August - I LOVED the book, so hope the film is half as good:D

I must have an NSD today - not had one yet in Feb, bad girl;) I could have claimed one for Friday - all I did was grocery shopping, but I think I'm cheating if I do as I bought a treat - a sandwich:rotfl:
