The jeans are going back:( I tried them on, perfect fit but the buttonhole at the waist was a bit small so was hard fitting the button through - so I just grabbed another identical size off the shelf and bought them - but just tried them on now and they're bigger on the waist and really long - turns out they're the size up and long length...grrrr:mad: So, will return them...shall I swap or return? Oooh, I shall decide that this week;)
Onepoll looked hopeful this afternoon - 4 surveys...but screened out of all 4:mad: Did get one more later on which I completed - am on £29.25 there - it's soooo slow right now. Valued Opinions still on £9 - just need a £1 survey. Mysurvey think I'm on 435 points...need 550. And went back to ipsos - I have 1035 points and need 1380 I think for a £10 voucher so will keep on plugging with all of those.
I did just get my payout from TCB - £13something...I went for the Amazon voucher, will just collect them again.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Boo to the jeans...how annoying. Great clothes spends though. i desperately need some new clothes. I look OK at work but at weekends I feel like a frumpy mum
OnePoll has been mucking me about today. One survey kept bombing me back to the beginning grrr but made it in the end. I got screened out of loads too. I'm only on £7 something i think...
Enjoy your stir fryIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Not a lot going on here - have had 2 NSDs (which were needed) and today will be too. I shall walk to work at 11 and I just need a couple of things from the grocery budget. I have £59 in the grocery account until the end of the month - definitely do-able;)
I'm not showered yet, but I have done my make up, hair doesn't need a wash so can have my face on and shower ok:p Going to have a quick tidy round so there won't be much needing doing tonight.
Dinner later is chicken cacciatore (Nigella recipe) - will have that with pasta or potato waffles...each dd has a different preference, pests:D So I'll have one or the other. Tomorrow, jacket potatoes and salmon for dd2 and I, dd1 is bored of jacket so will have leftover spag bol from last night. On friday dd2 is off to a party, so not sure what dd1 and I could have - I'll ask her what she fancies.
Ok, best go and get washed and dressed:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

You're right, jeans are very important - I live in them when not at work so got to get them right! I think I'll swap them - but not sure when as not planning on going to town in the near future:o
I did find some old Oasis jeans in my wardbrobe that fit perfectly - i'd just gone off bootleg jeans and been wearing Next slim leg opnes, but they dont go over ankle boots very well, so going to have bootleg as well - the Oasis ones are bootleg. So I could return the Next ones...but they're lovely dark denim, smart looking. The oasis ones aren't as smart...oh decisions eh?!:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
So, another NSD today - straight to work and then home. I have paid the girls cheer subs but that's a regular, essential payment so don't count that.
I've just redeemed another £5 from mysurvey - they sent me a lovely 150point survey to take me to payout:beer: So I have £10 in Amazon vouchers waiting to spend;)
Half day tomorrow, thank goodness. I will nip to T's for a few bits - and have a list of a few things in co-op that are on offer this week. There's £57 left in the grocery account to last until the acc is refilled (that'll be next Thurs). My shopping list isn't very big so let's see if I can keep it low like I did last week eh?!;)
I've meal planned for next week - using stuff we've got in where I can. I will come in at under £250 this month:D:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I need some new jeans too. I only have scruffy ones that my sis gave me (they are Jasper Conran though
) I just have a talent for making clothes look scruffy
. I'm after some slouchy boyfriend type ones - at least they are meant to look scruffy.

Food shopping is donw - I spent £7 in co-op and all the things I bought were on offer:beer: 9 Toilet rolls for £3, waffles and burgers, £1 each, dairylea 77p, kitchen roll £1.
Then in T's I spent £48 - which did include a magazine and bottle of wine £4.50, and 2 bottles of coke and donuts £3 - so without the treats it could have been £40:o Oh well, I don't plan on spending anything else at all this weekend so I think £7.50 is ok.
Out of Thursdays tax credits £100 as usual went into the spending account - I took out £60 for girls cheerleading subs, so £40 left in the account. My aim for this week is to not touch it, not at all:D Should be possible - I don't need petrol, not going out this weekend and Mon-Wed is easy to not spend at all as I just trot to work and straight home. There must be about £2 left in the grocery account after today's spends so should be enough for some milk!! I have just remembered that dd2 has cookery on a Wed though - not sure if she's making sweet and sour wraps or some sort of strudel...I might have to spend on that...but in theory I could whip £5 out of the grocery float account and pop it in the grocery account just before my new month starts on Thursday...that's not cheating is it? It'll still come out of February's spends.
Must get a couple of bits on ebay too this weekend. Unfortunately I think I'm running out of things that'll make me any decent money:(
Ex is getting cash for my monthly money - bringing it on Sunday - £300 it should be:jI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Here's what I've meal planned so far:
Tonight - Just dd1 and I, having pitta breads with cajun chicken and salad stuff, maybe with hm wedges too
Sat - Beef Tacos
Sun - Girls at ex's, I'll have some delights from the freezer - maybe cottage pie
Mon - Chicken pie, mash and veg
Tues - chicken drumsticks in paprika bag sauce thing
Wed - HM scone based pizza
Thurs - Jackets with chicken/spag bol for dd1
Fri - Chicken curry, rice and naan
Sat - Chicken wraps, wedges
Sun - Beef stew
Mon - Meatballs with hm tomato+pepper sauce
Still looking for more inspiring meals;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I think your meals look pretty good pix. Quite a bit of variety there. We would probably have more fish but IIRC one of your dd's isn't that keen on fish is she? That does seem to put a spanner in the works. There are a few things I don't eat any more because I know dd won't eat them and I am too stubborn to cook 2 different meals in the evening.
Grocery spends look OK. I'm challenging myself to spend just £30 in Ald1 tonight so I can use my £5 voucher. I don't want to go too far over that because then it won't feel like so much of a saving. I've got a lot of 30% off vouchers tooIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
