Funnily enough there was no one around at the library this morning;) Got the books I need...and had to pay my £17 fine:o Urgh...that was from when I had to retrun the books to the library as I'd already renewed them 3 times online..had about 8 books and couldn't get there for a few days - £17, eeek:eek: But all cleared now. I am good at renewing books, it's just the fact I had to take them back and it's a bit of a trek so just go at weekends.
So, I must crack on with the essay now.
Ooh - i changed my gas+electric supplier this morning - went through TCB which should be £70 cashback, but it's tracked at £35, the single fuel rate...hopefully it'll change when they see I have g+e. My current provider sent me a bill last night and wanted to up my dd to £102 from £72:eek: Even though in the last 3 months (the most costly usually of the year) I used £250ish worth of gas+electric, so not £102 a month worth. So I though, time to change...not changed in a couple of years.
Girls not due back til late afternoon so I'd better get a move on with the work while it's quiet. Easy dinner tonight - pizzas from the freezer with garlic bread...and oven chips/onion rings if anyone wants them. No chopping/proper cooking, just right for Saturday night;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

I haven't changed for about 3 years but I am quite happy with mine. I just hate the way you change to save money but then they hit you with a final bill which seems to end up costing you more :wall:. I'm a bit worried because at the end of last year I was well in credit so got them to send me some money back and am just hoping that I have paid enough in recently to cover it all. I have been really tight with the heating though  and the new insulation is making a difference. Last year we were in during the day so much more because of the snow so i just whacked up the heating - not had to do that this year..so far.
Enjoy your peaceful weekendIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Morning:D
Up earlyish so I can crack on with my essay...but it's not coming easily:o My problem is the fact that it has to be done in college, with some notes but basically written there and then. I could cobble something together with my pile of books and computer to help but finding it hard to write it and know I have to churn it out again on Friday. I don't feel I know enough about it all to waffle on..but hey ho as long as I get a pass for it i guess:o
Today dd1 wants to go to town for hair dye...she's off to a concert next weekend with my niece and I did say she could do her hair again just before it...argh. So we could nip in for an hour late afternoon.I was planning on a roast but might keep that for tomorrow and do the cottage pie tonight instead...that'd be easier.
I was just about to say that yesterday was an NSD...then remembered the library fines...booo:( Today won't be as I'll have to pay to park in town...nowhere free anywhere near the centre. Hmmph.
Ok, I should go and get started:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Ditto this. I bet you know more than you think you do and when it finally comes to next Friday it'll all come really easilyIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Afternoon all:)
A rather uneventful day today - work this morning and on a course this afternoon. My colleague drove so no car for me. I did have to drive the girls to cheerleading after school though...it only takes a few minutes there and back...it's not far. They finish at the same time so can walk home together though.
Dinner's on - bbq drumsticks with hm wedges and onion rings. Smells good;)
And today has been an NSD - took lunch to work, free cuppas and biscuits on the course and then home. I did buy the girls a pair of shorts each in the sale yesterday in town - one £18, one £20...but both were almost half price. So there's £50 left in my spending account which I will not touch now - no need to.
Essay's not going too well:( I could write it easily...it's not hard, but it's the fact I have to write it with only 250 words of notes on Friday...it's not firmly in my brain enough to rewrite:o
£17 has been paid out by Quidco so waiting for that to arrive in my bank account:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I bet you know more of your essay than you think
it will all come back to you more easily than you think. Can you maybe write more bullet points that will trigger things in your head but still keep within your 250 word limit?
Well done on the NSD..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Well done on the NSD..
My plan is to pretty much write the whole essay then go through it, noting key words and quotes to hopefully help me rewrite the whole thing:) Frustrating this is, this year they've dropped this part of the assessment:mad: But my year did it so I have to too:(I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Sold a top on ebay for £17, will post that tomorrow. I have 4 items ending tomorrow - 1 just has watchers, one has a £20 bid and the other 2 are old sweatshirts of dd1's, one on £5 and the other on £6...hopefully will get some last minute frantic bids:D
I'm sooo tired, didn't sleep very well last night, so going to get my weary backside to bed soon. I've been online most of the evening trying to look for games to print for one of the intervention groups I do at work....but no luck, annoying:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
