I've just redeemed £20 of Amazon vouchers from Shop+Scan:beer: I also added the one I got a couple of weeks ago from my Amazon cc that I have in my 'Amazon vouchers' email folder...and there was an old email from Valued Opinions with a voucher code - thought I'd add it as well - and it went on to my gift card balance, how had I forgotten to use that?:D So, £40 there at Amazon...£35 in notes here, £9 in coins - woohoo that's £84:beer:

Hmmm...seeing as I have £56 in the spend account that I'm not going to touch before Thursday, I might let myself have £5 to go into the Knidle fund..then it can be bought:p Hmm, I know I still have a lot of books to read, but I can't wait - really pleased with myslef for saving for something:D

That's excellent...really great work and you did it in no time at all.

(I reckon with your new found saving skills you could aim for an iPad next :D)

    Morning all,
I was not impressed yesterday - no internet all day:( It eventually came on at about 9pm..so annoying. And typically - I had my Kindle ready to set up;) I ordered it on Monday night...now have it set up. I wasn't happy that I had it in my hands but had no wi-fi:rotfl:

So, not an NSD as I bought a book for it, but that was all I spent - walked to work and got a lift home with my friend so no petrol used either:D

Today is my later start which is lovely. I'm all showered, hair washed and make up on so now have a couple of hours to fill.

I moved £55 out of my spending account into savings and £30 that ex owed me last week cleared in the bank so that has been moved too - my savings are looking better:D Unfortunately girls cheerleading fees are due this week - £65 along with £50 for dd2's new uniform. DD1 is leaving after half term so not buying her the new clothes.

DD2 is making banana and carrot muffins at school today so that'll be a nice treat (if they're edible:p). Dinner tonight is some chicken drumsticks done in one of those Maggi bag things - not tried it but they look nice in the advert;) Will do those with some hm wedges, onion rings and salady bits.

Right, must go and get dressed, tidy up and do some uni reading:)

DD2 wants to save for one:rotfl: She has about £50 right now so a long way to go! Last night she was rooting around for stuff to sell, asking to do housework so I'll pay her:eek: I said she can clean the car at the weekend and I'll pay her for that...but it'll take quite a few car washes to pay for an iPad;)

Have fun with your kindle :)

Do you just change up your coins at the bank? Is there a limit to what they'll change up? I've got a jar with loads in so might as well get some benefit from them. They're doing me no good just sat on the shelf :o

I just take mine into my local PO, it's next to school so nice and easy. I think they said they'll change 5 at a time? May be more though.
I hadn't looked in the copper jar for ages...over a year probably:o The terramundi (which isn't sealed any mare) gets 20p coins and bigger, the ice cream tub on top of the fridge gets 10p and under:D

Thanks. Mine is all mixed in together. I'll get some money bags from work. I shall look forward to counting it all up tonight. :D

I ordered a couple of lamps for the girls room on Dec1st, from Habitat online, money was taken a few days after. Never heard a thing for them, Christmas camse and went - and 4 emails later they finally reply:mad: I'd been looking online and found lots of people with the same problem - orders taken online but then just don't arrive. I got a reply last week at long last and they said they now have stock and the lamps are coming:mad: They arrived today - lovely lamps - round glass ball ones, I got them for £16 for both, that included a 20% discount. I have emailed again saying I object to paying £4 delivery when it took them about 5 weeks to deliver but no reply. No bulbs in them though so need to get them...funny little ones same as oven/fridge bulbs.

Anyway, just glad they came in the end;)

I've been tempted with a Kindle book - it's only £2...but will ruin an otherwise NSD so not going to buy today:o I don't need it yet anyway...no point buying. The restraint eh?:T

I bought some stuff from habitat years ago when their bluewater store was closing down. I think it was a pom pom garland or something, only about £2. i paid by card and the money was never taken. I'd have bought more if I'd known they weren't going to take the money :D

    Buy the kindle book tomorrow....
