Ooh but I can't remember how much my ipad was but I'm thinking you've got loads of books to be going on with and if you keep going with the savings you could have the ipad for books AND everything else it does too...its fab...
Me? Bad influence? Nah......0 -

Oooooh you're a REALLY bad influence;) I really would be here til next Christmas saving for an iPad - aren't they about £400? I do have the money in my savings account but I'm sure I can manage without one - I love my laptop a lot too so will be happy with that:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
So, not quite an NSD - had to buy dd2 some throat sweets for 80p and I put petrol in the car, £25 and that only seemed to give me 170miles on the display...rubbish:mad: But, I won't need to use the car much - going to be walking to work more, as long as it's dry;) I draw the line at walking in the gales we had today:eek:
DD2 had an amazing time at the concert last night - they didn't get back til 1. I'd planned on napping until the got back but couldn't of course...so by the time she got in, we had a chat and got to bed, I didn't sleep til about half 2...exhausted now;)
Dinner's in the oven - jacket pots with some kfc-stylee chicken portions that had been hiding in the back of the freezer.
I've done an Asda order for delivery (free) on Saturday morning. Must do a meal plan for next week and add/remove anything tomorrow night.
I was good and cancelled lovef1lm yesterday - about time too, we have dvds come and just sit here for a couple of months - complete waste of money. I then got some phone insurance for my iPhone which was £6.99 a month and £9-odd has tracked through Quidco. Better spending the money on that each month than on dvds we don't watch.
So, tonight will be a lazy night (no change there then;)) with an early night for me...I just want to sleep through the night, haven't done so since last week what with dd2 and her ears/throat...bah:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oh and I found a £5 Tesc0 reward token on the fridge that was left over from a day out last summer - it expires at the end of the month and I know we won't use it. After having a nose on the website I found an address to return unused and indate token for a refund to your clubcard balance - so I've got it in an envelope ready to go:D
I couldn't bear to waste it;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I woke up this morning at almost 6am - very pleased as I'd been asleep since 11 with no interruptions:D So had a bit more sleep and got up quite late for me on a school day - 7.15. I had the dcotor at 8.40 so it meant I wasn't rushing to be at school for 8.20. I am daft though - I don't start work officially until 9..I just seem to go early with my friend who lives over the road. But, I seem to drive most of the time, and I don't want to go that early but she does:o So, have decided that from next week I'm going to tell her I'm not going in early and will stay at home til about 8.40 and then walk to work as much as I can (and as long as it's not too wet). Petrol is just ridiculously expensive and I don't need to drive so much. That extra half an hour in the morning will mean I can leave the house a lot tidier and not feel so rushed knowing my friend could appear at any moment from 8.05 onwards:eek:I really need to sort out a new signature!0

Anyway, that's my weekend started - I bet I won't leave the house now until Monday moning:p Sounds good to me.
I finished at 12, came home and had lunch and fed dd2 who's still off but better, still got a sore throat and ears blocked but not in pain. I then went to see my college tutor (not been since October, the shame:o). I have decided to get an essay done in 2 weeks - it's a timed one that we have to do in college so she wants me to prepare for it and do it 2 weeks today. It's not huge - 2500 words - and can take 250 words of notes/quotes in. I intend to write as much as I can and write notes to help re-write it;)
Talking to her has given me a bit of a boost...need to keep motivated and crack on. I'm so awful at getting going:o:o
I nipped to T's to return the bargain £4 trousers - they weren't a very good fit, snug waist, baggy hips and long legs....or maybe I'm just a funny shape:rotfl: I bought some bits too that were cheaper there than with Asda...my shopping from them is coming tomorrow. Got a huge Persil Small+Mighty washing stuff half price to £5...that'll last months. Also chicken drumsticks, breakfast biccies for dd1, value pasta - all much cheaper than A's...good job I know the proces of things in different shops;)
Not an NSD as I spent some pounds in the local shop after work - got my Friday treat of a chicken+bacon sarnie, donuts and a mag for dd2 as I feel sorry for her, she wanted to go to school today - said her attendance has been bad this year - but it just can't be helped. Magazine £3.50 though, mad:eek:
A cheap weekend though - I have no plans. Girls having lunch at their dad's on Sunday so saves me cooking;) I must write my meal plan now then I can make any changes to my Asda shop for tomorrow.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

.
I feel a bit of an anorak for knowing the prices sometimes but then if we didn't how would we know we're getting a bargain????
Have a lovely relaxing weekend. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Morning:D
A lovely quiet weekend planned here, I'm looking forward to it;)
The food shopping is coming in between 11 and 1, so will go and get showered and dressed in a mo, had to have coffee first.
I need to sort through my piles of college stuff today. I have a box under the table of things, but having quickly looked through it yesterday, none of it looks like stuff I need, so will sort that and dig out all the books/notes I do need for the next assignments. I must get going - once I do, I'll be ok, it's the getting started and not putting it off that is my problem:o
I counted up the 20p coins in my terramundi yesterday - £10 exactly - so have bagged them up and will count them in the Kindle fund. I need 65 points with mysurvey to get a £5 voucher and on Monday when shop+scan credit me I'll claim a £20 voucher:beer:
I've done the meal plan - will post that in a minute. The shopping today cost a bit more than I wanted as I had to fill my small freezer:o On Tuesday I found everything in it completely defrosted:( I had left the door ajar a tiny bit - it had been like that since NY Eve, so I threw most of the stuff out. So while things like fish, breaded chicken things, chips were all on offer at A's, I thought I may as well stock up. Shopping should be around £65 - and seeing as I spent £19 in T's yesterday that's quite a spend this week:eek: But - it's not all stuff for just this week, it'll last longer.
Anyway, meal plan then I must get dressed.I really need to sort out a new signature!0
