Yep, eldest doesn't like fish:o DD2 and I did have some salmon fillets last night that had been lurking in the freezer a while, dd1 gets leftover spag bol. I'm not a huge fish lover either - I happily eat fish in batter and scampi, or salmon fillets but that's about it.
Oooh a £30 spend and then £5 off would be fab:D I got a £5 off a £40 spend at T's today so will use that next Friday...it all helps.
Just back from girls' dentist check up - got to take dd2 and her friend to a party at 6.30 then that's me home for the weekend - lovely:T Shame there's an essay lurking about needing [STRIKE]finishing[/STRIKE] starting :rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:p
Good news - dd2 doesn't have cookery this week so no debating about buying the ingredients:beer: (I'm easily pleased!)
Today is going to be a lazy, stay at home day;) Girls in pjs watching a film, had breakfast out of the freezer - bacon sarnie for one and 4 crumpets for the other - yes, 4, I know, the gannet:D
I've got a pile of stuff to photograph and get on ebay - found some jeans I won't wear, I don't love them enough so they're going...to make me feel better about buying new ones;) Both girls have handbags their dad bought them for Xmas last year that they don't use now so will list them - looking at completed listings they should get £30+....fab.
The sun's shining into the kitchen/diner...highlighting how I need to give the place a good clean...ooops:rotfl:
So, NSD is calling...as is NDD, a No Drive Day:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Nice lazy day here too. DD is now asleep on the sofa.
Lovely ebay stash you have there. I love it, it's a way of life nowIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Girls are now at the ex inlaws having lunch and dd1 getting her dad to help with her homework...jolly good, saves me doing it;)
I now need to crack on with my essay - I've left it til the last minute yet again, I am hopeless:o Been thinking about it all and I think there's not a chance in h£ll of me getting it all completed by the end of April...I think I thought I had longer but for the Uni to have it all by mid-May then my tutor needs it at the end of April - still outstanding are 2x2500 essays, a research project of 5000words with a 10min presentation and 2 other 5000words essays...knowing how slow I work and how I'm so exhausted during the week I can't see it being done, so going to write to my doctor and see if he could write a letter (again) confirming the nature of my Crohn's and that extreme fatigue is a symptom..not just me saying 'I'm tired' which I think most people think:o There's tired and there's completely zonked. I know I'm a lazy moo too....
Anyway, still got to get this essay done so best crack on...and tear myself away from [STRIKE]ogling[/STRIKE] admiring Nadal in the Aussie Open that's on tv:D:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I did get 6 items on ebay last night and have another 6 or 7 scheduled to start tonight. All of the items have watchers - dd1's bag has 10, so fingers crossed for some good sales:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0

I have £255 cash here from the ex:beer: And he's bringing the last £45 tomorrow - see, it was easy to get him to pay up £300. The CSA have been useless - they got nothing at all for me, waste of time. How they think they could possible charge to use them is a joke:mad:
Anyway, I'll pay that in to the bank this week - most will go straight to the savings account, how fantastic:p
I am cross with myself...have done hardly any work:( I could write the essay no problem...it's the re-writing it bit on Friday that's panicking me! Oh well...going to try half an hour of work now, then cook some dinner and do the ironing while Dancing on Ice is on:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

I'm glad your ex is paying up now. I hope the CSA don't ever charge. I have no contact details at all for my ex. I really have no option to use them.
Your essay is now controlling your life. You need to get it done and regain some of the controlI'm sure you'll be fine on Friday. Can you try sectioning it up a bit and doing 300 words on the intro, 300 words on the conclusion, 200 words per section in the middle? that's what i used to do for GCSE, broke it down into manageable chunks. I'm probably not helping at all. I don't know how you manage to study as well as everything else.

You're right, it most definitely is controlling my life:o It's always in the back of my mind...I leave the books and paper lying on the dining table so am always reminded of it. It's boring as heck so i have no motivation to do it. It's the re-writing bit I think that's putting me off...but it's not going to do itself so am going to have to just get on with it, knuckle down after work and get it out of the way. As long as I pass it'll do:)
Getting a bit chilly in here now..heating is on low so hasn't kicked in for a while...best just go to bed to keep warm! I've done my nails, a nice brown that girls got me for Xmas - 'Beige Babe':rotfl: All neat for the week.
Off to check my ebay listings (for the umpteenth time;))I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Thanks for reminding me about doing my nails. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

NSD here today...again:D
I did buy milk and a few mushrooms but they came out of the last couple of pounds in the grocery account...it's sooo close to totalling £250 for January now, I've done well;)
I walked to work (in the snow)...but did drive girls round to cheerleading, it was cold. but they walked home.
Ex came round with the rest of my money - so have a lovely £300 cash to take to the PO tomorrow and get into my bank account. I'm really pleased as just before Xmas my savings account had dipped to under £1k...but now it'll hit £1700:beer: I do owe cheerleading £70 still...but will pay £20 for girls travel to the competition out of tax credits next week and the remaining £50 in a couple of weeks...again out of weekly spends, it doesn't feel so bad spreading it out;)
Ebay items looking good - both of the bags have £10 bids. They're the girls' though so proceeds are for them - they were Xmas pressies so I can't claim any money.
Bed soon, I'm so tired tonight. 2 weeks then half term:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0
