I just worry that as my girls get older there will be less for me to do with them, I'm needed less...and it's really sad.
Your girls will always need you so don't worry about that. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I was 40 a few years ago - if I had thrown a party I would have had some left from a four pack of beer!!
Because I have moved around a lot to different countries and places I lost touch with friends I had years ago, as has been said people and times change.
I now have the grand total of zero friends, I live in the most unfriendly village in the world and most of the Mums at school ignore me! But never mind onwards and upwards.
I prefer to stay in as well, I find it all a bit keep up with the Jones and false with a lot of people I come into contact with.
Hope you have a wonderful birthday.0 -

Hi JM - thanks for posting:D
I'm not close with many people round here - I say hello to loads of people when out and about as I work in the local school so 'know' people that way...but not close friends. A few colleagues I get on really well with - but never see them out of work.
I'm not the most sociable person around:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I am so tired today:o Think the half bottle of wine I drank last night might be to blame...the shame, I'm such a lightweight;)
I have finished my book this morning (it was brilliant - Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, I'd recomment it:D). I also caught up on a couple of programmes on the Sky planner, very lazy. This afternoon I have been good and taken apart the cooker hood and scrubbed it and ordered a filter and bulb. I've never used it - always thought it didn't work, told the LA and think the guy just flicked the switch at the wall..oops:o But cant use it yet as there's no filter. It was so greasy, yuk.
Dinner is in the oven - sausage casserole, with yummy butchers sausages the ex mil gets for me:D So, will have that and get an early night...back to school comes too fast. Still - just 6 weeks until Easter:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
NSD here today - straight to work and home again, just how I like it. I'm darn freezing right now though - looking forward to milder weather at the end of the week:D
Girls are out at cheerleading, back in an hour. Dinner is just stir fry with chow mein sauce and noodles for them. i'm bored of that so will have last night's sausage casserole and mash leftovers.
Next returns were picked up today - I haven't added up what I kept but it wasn't too much. 2 pairs of jeans at £10 each, a few tops - one £6, one £7 and 2 full price (hanging my head in shame) - £16 and £18 I think:o Oh and pyjamas for £10. Could have been worse - I did order coats but didn't like any;)
I bought dd1 2 gcse english revision books at the weekend which arrived today - have read a lot of one myslef:rotfl: I never read 'Lord of the Flies' but know enough about it now - sounds gruesome:o I might read the book which will help her too, I am a good mum:cool: The other one was Macbeth which I did do at GCSE but can't remember much about it. They cost me just over £8, but worth it.
Also signed up for the free Nerflix trial thro' TCB. Quidco were giving more but you had to watch 5 hours and couldnt guarantee I'd do that so went for TCB - you can claim for higher cashback to match what Quidco offer so hopefully I'll get £15:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
pixie I signed up for the netfix offer. We like it and got £12.12 free which i have already received and transfered
Not too bad weather wise here today so looking forward to it getting milder! xDF as at 30/12/16

I never read Lord of the Flies either. Might put that on my to-do list.
I keep getting reminders for the netflix thing so might take that up through TCB - Quidco are annoying me at the moment
Really cold here last night too so we snuggled into our PJs as soon as we got home. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Brrr cold again tonight...roll on the milder weather.
So, another NSD today:beer: Up to £33.50 on Onepoll - even had a 25p survey today which was a lovely quick one. Got a P*cone survey in my inbox that I must do too for an easy £3.
Dinner is on - just spag bol tonight, nothing exciting, but dd1's favourite.
I walked to work and home today so today's been a no-spend and no-drive day. Unfortunately not a no-heating day;) I must go and put my meter readings into my new app and see how much we've used in the last week - I love my app:T
Nice evening of watching the Brits on tv, dd2 can make some pancakes too. I've been avoiding wheat for the last 5 days in an attempt to ease the bloating and wind I get in the evenings...but not noticed much difference...grrrr, I wish I knew why I get it. I was never like this before the op - honestly, I sometimes wish I'd not had it. i have no social life at all any more as I dont like going out of my house in the evenings:o:o
Anyway, enough moaning - on with dinner:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Could it be the combination of your meals? I know that if you take fruit to work then you mustn't eat it straight after your sandwiches because it will literally just sit there on top of everything else fermenting which causes the bloating and gas. Just need to leave it an hour.
Maybe keep a food diary if you don't already. I know that there are certain crisps and biscuits that I can't eat because they make me windy and uncomfortable. I seem to be fine with mini cheddar type things and rich tea.
I do tend to avoid bread as much as possible during the week anyway. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Incredibly I've just answered a survey on OnePoll about bloating and wind :rotfl:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
