Incredibly I've just answered a survey on OnePoll about bloating and wind :rotfl:

I had that survey too - I'm an expert on dodgy innards:rotfl:
£33.75 on Onepoll...slow but sure. And to think I'd hoped to hit the £40 by Xmas, fat chance;)

Could it be the combination of your meals? I know that if you take fruit to work then you mustn't eat it straight after your sandwiches because it will literally just sit there on top of everything else fermenting which causes the bloating and gas. Just need to leave it an hour.

Maybe keep a food diary if you don't already. I know that there are certain crisps and biscuits that I can't eat because they make me windy and uncomfortable. I seem to be fine with mini cheddar type things and rich tea.

I do tend to avoid bread as much as possible during the week anyway.

I just don't know what else to have for lunch that isn't bread related:o Had a bagel today - I gave in. I'd been having ryvita, which I like, but with cheese on. Maybe it's the dairy - I was stricter with it last year but have been having bits here and there.

I do have fruit sometimes after my lunch, but not that often. I have a banana at break but nothing else. Lunch is usually sarnie, crisps, fruit occassionally. I've been avoiding coke (as in coca cola;)) and bought some peppermint tea too.

I have my best pal coming to stay next weekend and am sooo worried that I'll be all bloated and gassy, can't go out like that:o:o I will be off dairy and pop all week and keeping everything crossed.

  • I could call today an NSD but I used my spends account for a few bits in the co-op - just £6 worth, but it's a spend and not from the grocery account:o

Otherwise, I haven't driven - 2 days in a row:T Heating is off, both girls are out so electric can have a rest;)

I only have £30 left in the grocery account until next Thursday, then the account will be back full. I put £65 a week in my 'grocery float' account so by next Thurs it'll be up to £250. £30 should be fine - we are eating out most of the weekend for birthday treats...so I really only need 4 meals worth of food. I shall have athink in a mo and get a meal plan done.

Haha theoretically you'll only be a day older ;)

Re lunches - can you make up a tuna pasta salad to take into work, or jacket potato, soup? I have (and this is quite boring but I like it) spinach, beetroot, carrot sticks, small bag mini cheddars and half a tub of hummus to dip it all in :)

Yes, just one day older...that's all. Shame about the age staring with a 4 though;)

Hmmm, lunches - I don't like tuna, try to avoid hot things as there's always a huge queue for microwaves at work:o I like your last idea though - I dont like pickled beetroot but dont mind it raw. Might try wraps instead of bread, are they yeast free? The only thing I think of when going bread free is ryvita and they get boring eventually. I like rice cakes, got some of them in the cupboard.
    Thanks for the ideas:D

Try googling Fodmap - have a read and see if any of it applies. I came across it through watching a C4 programme where it was mentioned - it certainly opened my eyes to a couple of things!

Thanks dangers - I remember hearing about this on the Food Hospital on C4, meant to look it up but never got round to it - I shall have a look later:D

  • Well...another NSD here:D I walked to work and got a life home so the car hasn't moved...brilliant for my petrol costs;)

Dinner is done and nearly tidied up. I must do a meal plan for next week so I can nip to T's tomorrow afternoon. Also need to find out from girls what grub they want for the competition on Saturday - they're leaving at 6.45am and back at 7pm, so a long day and will need a fair bit of food.

I realised today that I put £65 a week aside for groceries - then I transfer £250 for the month- oops, rubbish calculations there, I'm actually putting £260 aside;) So I took the extra £10 thats in the float account and popped it into the grocery acc so I have £40 until next week. I have a £5 off voucher so I will goround adding up tomorrow to hopefully get it just over £40 then have the money off.

We're having chinese takeway tomorrow, I'm out with the family (though do not ask about the palaver:o) and on Sunday the girls and I are going to Frank1e and B3nny's - and ex has a voucher for us which will give us one free meal I think...it all counts:D Lots of eating out - i won't be cooking until Monday now:beer:

I can't wait for next weekend, my lovely friend from Cornwall is coming to stay - i never see her as it's 4hrs away - last time was in 2010. We're going to have a lovely time shopping and dining out followed by a few drinks and boogy in town:T

Right - off to do a meal plan.
