Happy bank holiday:beer:
I'm just enjoying the peace - dd1 still in bed of course and dd2 slept at a friend's last night.

We had a good weekend - nipped in to see my mum and stepdad on Saturday then stayed at my sister's for the night. Spent nothing on Saturday and yesterday just £3 on pasties for the girls and a bottle of coke.

We got home, bringing the new chest of drawers that bro in law picked up in Ikea for me this week - was £65, a great tall 6 drawer chest. We already have the 4drawer one and it's fab - chunky and solid with huge drawers. So I opened it ready to put it together -then realised it was 1 of 2 packs in the set. Bro in law only picked up one from Ikea:eek: I have to ring tomorrow so they can check their records to check we only did take 1, then he's going to go and pick up the missing one...arghhhh:o

So, what are the plans for today?! I need to nip to Tesco and stock up. I have written a meal plan, so will stick to buying what we need.
Here's the meal plan:
Tonight - roast chicken
Tues - Quesadillas, wedges
Wed - sausage, bacon, egg
Thurs - spag bol/chilli
Fri - chicken curry+naan
Sat - chicken stir fry
Sun - girls with their dad

Right - time to write the shopping list:D

Ok, meal plan needs adjusting as I couldn't be bothered to go to T's yesterday - not on a bank holiday;) We nipped over to the Tesco home shop...dd2 bought herself a webcam and I boight 3 new work tops in Next for £44:eek: I might return one though...

Today's plan starts with us going to town in about half an hour for girls' annual optician appointment. I need trousers for work, but only cheapish ones so will have a quick look...not that there are many cheap shops here:o Will have a drink somewhere then home. I will go to T's this afternoon - I need to if we want to eat tomight:D

I listed a few more bits on ebay last night. A few are ending tonight so fingers crossed for last minute bidding wars:rotfl:

• That's the first day at work over then:D Off today again though, which is very nice - we're going to the shops for a bit of a wander and some lunch.

I've sold a few bits on ebay - £12.50+£21.00+£8.50...pleased with that. I'm waiting for a payment for an item of £9 - it's dd2's money too so hope they cough up. But looking at their feedback they might just not pay:mad: So, just transferred £40 from Paypal. I used £12 of my Paypal money to buy some new work trousers from ebay - hopefully they'll be just right.

So, today we're out - hoping to keep it cheap. Girls have some of their own money to spend. A trip to Prim*ark will have to be done;) Going to return 2 of the tops I bought on Monday to Next so that'll be £30 back - I don't love them enough to keep them:p

Meal tonight - chicken curry...must go and take some chicken out of the freezer. DD2 is now going to a sleepover tomorrow so I might get a cheap takeaway for dd1 and I as a treat...not sure. I've told her if she chooses a cheap lunch today then I might consider takeaway tomorrow:) (I have Domino 2 for 1 vouchers)

Ok, must go and get ready - early out then we can get home earlier hopefully

• We had a lovely day out - had subw@y for lunch which cost £12 altogether for us. Bought girls a cardi each at £15 and one for myself - nice chunky ones. DD1 bought a skirt, dd2 did too but it's too big so have to make a return trip to Prim*ark sometime now;)
The only other things bought were school tights, undies and fleece pj bottoms for them.

Park and ride was free as the machine wasnt working on the way in - on the way back home the driver just let us go back without paying - bargain:beer:

I have nipped to my friend's this morning to do french plaits in her 2 daughters as they're off to a wedding (and the hairdresser couldn't do them!) - she gave me a bottle of wine so that was lovely:D

Youngest has just gone to a friend's for a shopping trip then sleepover. My friend took her then I'm collecting tomorrow. Eldest and I are nipping to my sister's to pick up the 2nd pack of the chest of drawers that they collected from Ikea yesterday so I shall spend this afternoon putting that together and moving stuff about upstairs:D

I'm buying eldest Dominos tonight - any pizza is £6.99 so we'll go and pick that up, nice.

I've done a load of washing and have the girls bedding in right now but its looking rather dull - not sure if putting it on the line is sensible.

Time to go and tidy up before we go get the drawers:)

• Morning:cool:
So, last day of hols for the girls...then back to normal for all of us tomorrow:(
I collected the rest of my chest of drawers from my sis yesterday and put it together when we got back. I looks very nice in girls room - much more storage for us. I've taken their chest in my room so I have more drawer space and their new chest is bigger. I want to sort their closet out today - remove the chest in there, replacing it with some shelves to store shoes. At the mo the shelf/shoe unit is full of books though - so goodness knows where those are going:rotfl:They're all young books that the girls don't look at anyway.

I spent £14 yesterday on pizza:o Should hang my head in shame at that - but we got the largest ones as any pizza was £6.99. It was a treat for dd1 while dd2 wasn't here;) That was all I spent.

Today should be an NSD. I need to collect dd2 at 12 and then they're going to their dad's for lunch...so I don't have to cook today, fab.

I have a pile of ironing to do soon - will go shower then get on with it. The pile is mainly school shirts - there must be about 15 of them:eek: I've left it as long as possible but today - the day befroe they go back - it must be done:D

I must write a meal plan and small shopping list for next week. I have £100 left in the grocery account with 2 weeks to go until the float account is back to £240. The freezers are quite full, so hopefully we will come in under budget and I can save some of the leftover money.

I'm looking forward to going back to school as it'll save me money:T Not saved a penny of my weekly tax credits for ages - I need to get back to doing that.

• Ironing has been done - well, most of it:p There are still a few school shirts but after I'd done 10 I'd had enough;) We all have clothes for the week so that's good enough for me for now!

Youngest has been picked up from her sleepover. I got petrol on the way as the warning light came on and I get scared:o Even though the display showed 50miles left of petrol, I wanted to get some...I am a scaredy cat;) So, £20 there...that'll have to be enough for now. It's taken me a bit overdrawn in my spending account, but it's my buffer zone - tax credits in on Thurs to cover it.

Off to carry on with the moving stuff/sorting out - I'd love to go sit in the sun with my book but I've emptied a book shelf in girls room and turfed loads of stuff out of the shed to put an old chest of drawers in so need to sort it all...arghhh:D

Girls are off at the ex ma-in-laws having lunch so at least they'll get a hot lunch so can just do sarnies later.

Onwards...

• Evening:D
Well, the drawers all got sorted - just need to sort my pile of jewellery/perfumes etc that were on top of the old chest - they're now dumped in an empty drawer in my room until I can be bothered to sort them;)

This week is going quickly - woohoo, it's Friday tomorrow and I only work until 12:T

A few more ebay sales this week - £16, £3.20, £8 and £12.50. I have a few bits ending tonight so fingers crossed. A hoodie of dd2's that sold never got paid for - how very irritating:mad: Why do people do that, bid and then just not respond? I emailed several times but no response. And I can't leave negative feedback which really annoys me:mad:

Dinner nearly ready - then tv and an early night if I can persuade the girls to go up;)

• Spend this week have been low - that's one great thing about being back at school:D Petrol on Sunday £20 and just groceries since then. Today I bought toothbrushes for £3, nothing else. I must try and leave most of this week's tax credits - there's £81 in my spends account, will need petrol again as going to my sis on Sat (it's bro in laws bday), but aiming not to buy anything else until next week - we shall see how that goes eh?!

Going to T's when I finish work tomorrow for some bits and bobs.

• Yippee - £74 to be paid from Quidco in the next payment run:beer:
That's £60 from my home insurance - that was last September tho, it took this long to pay out. So will probably change providers soon (it's due in a couple of weeks) - and hopefully get another nice whack;)

Really pleased with that:D

Mine took 5 months to be paid out and I thought that was long enough!
