That's me finished for the weekend:beer:
I am off to T's soon, armed with a rather long list. I have been good this week though and only bought the few bits needed for meals from the local shops, so grocery pends this week were no more than £20. Bits and bobs have been used up, which is good - but the freezer and fridge are a bit sad now and it's time to shop;)
I'm hanging on a bit as dd2 has a pair of boots arriving today...so I want to be here to sign for them. We bought them off ebay, brand new - she's paying a bit, I'll pay a bit and we'll sell her barely worn old ones on ebay to go towards the cost too.
Once girls are back from school dd2 and I are nipping to town - New l00k have 20% with the voucher in-store until Sunday and she needs a coat so will get her one there. My tax credits won't be saved this week - I need petrol too today and the rest will be gone today or tomorrow on the clothes I get her.
Washing is out and on the line, also the airer is on the patio in the sun full of towels:D
I sold 2 pairs of outgrown school trousers on ebay yesterday so must get that posted asap. I have a pile of dresses/tops that dd now doesn't like..grrrr. Free listing this weekend so must get some bits on there.
Right, a quick tidy and hopefully the parcel will come before I go shopping:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Half term has arrived:beer:
Quiet day at home today - dd2 was at a party then a sleepover last night, has come home full of cold and is fast asleep on the sofa. DD1 just getting up now...lazy moo:p
Food shopping was done yesterday - another £70-odd:eek: Seem to be spending too much there again, I must sort it out.
I also nipped to Argos abd bought 2 cushions...£7.00 each or 2 for £10, much nicer than the old ones we have. I was also very naughty and bought myslef a necklace for £15:o It was one I bought with birthday money back in the winter - but on holiday, i lost it...I'm sure it was in our room but mysteriously disappeared and I loved it - so splashed out on another one.
Today I've spent £10.50 on a cardi and jumper in the matalan sale online - found a 15% code which almost covered the £2 delivery - £5 each for the tops, so pleased with that. Have just spent £20 on the Debenha*s blue cross sale - 2 pink towels and matching bath mat, a vase with red lotus flowers in and a craft set for niece's Xmas - used free delivery code and discount voucher - so not a bad haul. We have a couple of odd blue towels in the bathroom and I've been looking for cheap pink ones, and my yellow bath mat is faded and sad...so £5 from £10 for that plus the 15% off wasn't bad.
As far as Xmas shopping is going I'm doing ok - my mum is done, as is my sis, 2 out of 3 nieces and my best friend. I've not bought much for my 2 yet, need to get some ideas:D
Ebay has been going well - the item with 35 watchers went for £36.50 in the end - not bad considering I paid £20 for it;) Got dd2's boots on that she grew out of - they're on £24 with 5 days to go. That's great as any profit goes towards the £55 spent on new ones and we will split the difference. Fair enough I think:p
Must get more stuff photographed and listed - I have a big box behind the sofa which is in the way so need to either list the stuff in it or get rid once and for all. Some of it was put in the box in our old house (over 3yrs ago:eek:). Ok, must get on while girls are quiet;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Up to 22 items on ebay now - a few more to list when I can be bothered to do the measurements;).
Sold one BIN tonight too, £14 and an auction ended at £2.50. It's all adding up:p.
Update on my Debenhams order - the vase with flower in I ordered for my lounge is unavailable...which is fine, saves me £7.50. So the order now came to about £14..not bad for 2 towels, a bathmat and a spirograph type art thing for my niece.
Back to Saturday night tv:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning:D
Another lazy one - sitting here in my pjs with a cuppa and laptop. I must get moving - especially after reading benben's mahooosive list for today and half term:o I feel rather lazy!
We aren't doing anything today so I have no excuses. The only day we have plans for during half term is tomorrow - meeting my sis in Bristol for some lunch and shopping. It'll cost me though, dd1 needs a coat - she doesn't have one. They do want to take some of their own money so hopefully I won't buy too much:p
My mum and stepdad are coming to help do the garden on a dry day this week. I may take girls to the cinema on Wednesday if there's anything we fancy seeing. Otherwise nothing else happening - I do need todo uni work...really need to.
Ok, I'm going to write a quick list for today:- shower and hair wash
- dry washing off airer and upstairs
- washing in the machine on the line
- ironing
- clean kitchen
- hoover bedrooms, down the stairs and lounge
- cook dinner - roast chicken
- tidy dining table
- clean bathroom
- rubbish+recycling out for collection in the morning

Just ordered a Harry Potter mini puzzle for dd1's stocking - £1.50 from about £5 on Te*co direct...free delivery to store, bargain:D
My local store didn't used to have delivery to store so I'm really pleased it does now - I shall be browsing the site later for more Xmas goodies:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Girls wanted to get out this afternoon so we nipped over to big Tesco direct shop. I got a lovely tan cardi (been wanting that colour for a while) - in the sale half price at £8, then all knitwear had 25% off so it was £6:j In Peac0cks I bought a wolly tunic type top, nice over long sleeve cotton tops - marked at £12.50 with £5 off, but came up at £6 so I bought 2 - black and brown. Also got a chunky jumper reduced to £11. I am in desperate need of jumpers - all mine date back a few years so about time I bought new ones - and none at full price - fab:D
I treated girls to a hot chocolate each...£5:eek: Awful really, but we've not done anything all weekend so £5 on them all weekend is ok.
We didn't go out til 3, back at 5...so dinner will be a late one. Having roast chicken, should be done by 7.30 though when I do a roast it always appears later than I plan:rotfl:
My tidying has gone reasonably well - the whole house has been hoovered and tidied, washing dried on the line, all brought in and put in airing cupboard or the rapidly growing ironing pile:D I have photographed more bits for ebay and parcelled up 2 more things to go tomorrow.
Feeling quite on top of things...for once:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Meant to add - I ordered 27 photos from our holiday from Tesc0photo - saw on the fab Grabbit board anm offer where if you register with them they give you 50 free prints. So, ordered 27, including a few extra copies to put in cheap frames for Xmas pressies for ex from girls and for his parents. I paid postage of £1.50...that was it:p And still got another 23 pics to claim - will do that when I have some decent pics:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0

Afternoon:D
Had an exhausting day yesterday shopping, but girls enjoyed it. They did drive me mad at times though with their sniping at each other...grrrr:o Told them I won't go with them both together again, it's one or the other if they are going to be like that. Drives me mad as I want to do nice things with them but feel like they don't enjoy it, just the 3 of us:(
But - dd1 did get a coat, which she so needed - she has nothing. It was £60, but nice and warm, just what she wanted too and she'd been eyeing up 1 from T0pshop at £95...so £60 seemed a better deal;). I returned a jumper I bought on Sunday for £6 back in the bank. Spent £35 in Prim*rk on fleecy pj bottoms, reduced bras for eldest (£2.90 each, bargain), a hot water bottle, 3 long sleeved cotton tops for me, hair clips.
So, my spending account is looking very sad at -£50:( But, tax credits in on Thurs, so will stay home until then. I think girls are going to spend the afternoon with the ex tomorrow, so I wont feel bad abut them lounging around doing nothing:p
And good news - ex has a job! He just heard today...thank goodness...maybe I'll see some money soon - that would ease my finances such a lot:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
My £5 cardi and jumper arrived and I'm really pleased - they look great for the money:D The Debehnams stuff came too - lovely pink bathroom bits and the pressie for my niece - another pressie sorted:D
I need to write an up to date list of presents and what I still have to get - luckily I don't but a huge amount of pressies for family and have done a few people.
I also needed a jacket for the winter - not bought a casual one for years, I just have a smart wool Next coat but wanted something for wearing with jeans. I wasn't going to bother until I saw a 50% off any item code at H&M on the Grabbit board - also the £5 off code worked too...so I have a lovely belted jacket coming - £35 but paid £16 inc delivery - hope it looks as good on as it does in the pic and that'll be a good deal.
So, we are all sorted with our winter stuff now - I have done pretty well with cheap items - all the knitwear I got myself was reduced. DD2's coat had 20% off with NewLo0k, mine very cheap...and selling dd2s old boots will pay for a fair whack of her new ones. Any other bits they want now comes out of their own money:)
Right, time to do something useful;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
In the spirit of being super organised here's my meal plan:
Tues - Spag bol (for dd1) then turned into chilli (for dd2 and I)
Wed - pork steaks with potatoes and beans
Thurs - Jackets, chicken and hoops
Fri - Fish and chips
Sat - HM curry
Sun - girls at ex's
Mon - lasagne+garlic toast
That's all I've planned so far:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0
