    Hi K

Have just caught up with your diary, I see :wall: is still being a plank, reliving his youth springs to mind. I agree with you regarding FB & protecting the girls, it totally amazes me that people have to post every small thing that is happening in their daily lives.

Boo to braces not being removed for DD, it is disappointing for her but will be so worth it in the end.

You are not a fraudster regarding the new car, it makes sense regarding repairs etc. You have used savings and kept the repayment to a realistic amount that you can afford to repay back. It is uncanny as we both owned Ford Ka's, you will never believe this but we traded in my Ka for a Peugeot 207, had it since June. I love it, fab to drive, loads of extras and so different to the ka. Enjoy the new car you SO :D deserve it.

Any news on the internet boy front :p

Hello Deb, I was hoping you'd pop in again soon:D
Well, what a coincidence with the cars! I did like my little Ka - I can't complain about it, it never needed anything doing to it while I had it, was cheap to run and easy to drive. But...I do love the 207;) It looks fab and drives well...though I do find that when I slow down it judders a bit if I'm in a high gear...maybe it's just me:o All the little extra bits just make me happy - the stereo controls, petrol amount left display etc:rotfl:

    Hope you're well:)

    So - quick update.
    Spent money yesterday:o Here's a summary:
£20 on a suitcase in Primark - we only have 2 and one is too big for just a week (especially as we can only have 15kg per case) - so I'm borrowing 1 case from my friend and bought 1. Lovely big pink patterned one.
£15 on a hand luggage bag for me - the one I usually take on holdiay is too big for Ryanair. The one I got in Debenhams was reduced from about £60 to £15. Plus i had a gift card with £4.20 left on that I'd forgotten I had, so used that and paid £10.20 - bargain;)
    £10 on a cd for myself...oops:o
£15 on shorts for dd2 - she's been drooling over them for months and they had gone in the sale from £32...so I was a kind mum:)
£30 in primark on lots of sale socks for dd1, school tights, tassled tshirts for both of them, bikini tops and a beach tshirt for dd2.
£9 in Boots on hair dye for dd1 and other essentials.
and oooops - £16 on lunch for the 3 of us.

So, not too bad - nothing really we didn't need.(ok, apart from my cd, but I sooo wanted it:p)

Today I am going to have a good clean/tidy and get organised afternoon. I've had a lazy morning...slept til 10:eek: I do find that going out shopping for a day really takes it out of me - it never used to, just since the op, i can't be on my feet for longer than a few hours without really feeling it. I can feel it ache where the op was, not painfully, probably just telling me to sit down! I don't normally notice it as at work I am sitting down a lot of the time...just days I'm on my feet then i really feel it (feel old:o).

I'm also going to go and buy a dvd player in Argos soon - the one in the girls room died on Xmas eve last year and I have never replaced it - so going to give them the lounge one and buy a new one for the lounge. Nothing fancy, under £30. Justmeans they can watch films in their room now.

Must sort out travel insurance and get all the documents printed for hol - need to check in with ryanair online...oh I wish we were flying First Choice like we usually do -much easier:D

    Hi k
I am well thankyou, just returned from France.

The only thing I notice with the 207 is that it is more high revving than the ka, also gearbox is totally different. Insurance was only £181, a lot cheaper than my ka, saying that I am classed as a mature driver.

So all set for your well earned holiday with the girls, I expect they are getting excited, it will be lovely for you all to go away & relax, guaranteed sunshine & some fun.

A few treats are essential you don't smoke or waste money so enjoy.

My trusty computer refuses to play, dd says our laptop that we lent her will not play also. She has lent me her IPad, not sure I would like one; there's no mouse for starters :o

I have loads on Ebay ending tomorrow. Will need to look for a new computer soon which is a bummer.

Must go dd home for the week and needs dropping into town, I am dd's taxi for the week :rotfl:

Morning to anyone who's popped their head in:T

We had a great day yesterday - went to a mini theme park/fun fair type place with my friend and her 2 girls. We paid the entry in trusty tesco vouchers - so that didn't come out of my money. Took a picnic so didn't spend much at all - parking was £2.50 and I bought girls a hot dog each later on for £3.40 altogether. dd2 bought some sweets too - but using £1 I found on the ground:rotfl: We nipped to my sis on the way back and I collected a huge canvas that my bro in law got for me in Ikea a couple of weeks ago -it's fab, really big with poppies in - looks just lovely in the lounge. A bargain at £30.

Today the plan is to just get holiday stuff sorted - washing, ironing and packing. Packing's hard as we're taking 3 cases...but have nowhere really to store them while they're in the middle of being packed. I think they will just have to sit in the lounge.

I've just rung and got my car insurance sorted - just cost me £25 more for the rest of the year (8 months of the policy left), so pleased with that. I've shuffled money about a bit - some accounts are looking a little low and I want to make sure the bill account is left ok - while we're away the council tax, Sky and my phone bill should come out. But, child ben in is on sunday so it'll be fine.

Girls are off with their dad later for a few hours. He's getting them some holiday spending money - told himt o get it changed to Euros himself as i'm doing my money today. Not sure how much to take - think £100 will be plenty as we're all inclusive.

Must get going then - get some washing on and start the packing. I'll start to feel excited soon i hope - at the mo I'm just worrying about everything and not feeling excitement:o

So, holiday ironing is done and all of the clothes are ready to be packed - that will have to be done tonight as I've piled stuff on our beds...had to see what we all had:D Turns out dd2 has a different outfit for each night...I don't, I'm happy to wear each outfit twice, so I won't take much.

I've been to the PO and got our euros - changed £120 so will see how much I can bring back out of that:p We're only there a week, can't see me needing much, but some mad people on the hotel's FB page say they took £600 for 2 weeks and even then they took more out of the bank:eek: Why would you need that at an all inclusive hotel?!

I did my travel insurance - was £15, but then once I put my pre existing condition on it jumped up by £19:(

I rang the doctors hoping my letter would be ready as I need to send it before we go to the Uni for my deferrment - arghhh they havent got it and the lady who does it not in til tomorrow. If the Uni don't have evidence again then I'm stuffed - so I nipped in to the surgery myself and explained again how I must have it before Thurs - a note was sent to the GP so hopefully tomorrow it'll be done:o

Right, time to put all the ironing away, pile some in cases and have some dinner when girls back...at least they were fed so I can have something easy.

    Morning:D
Today involves getting the house clean and tidy before we go away. The cases are packed, just have toiletries to put in. I need to cut the grass and tidy the garden - my landlady and a decorator are coming during the week to do some painting of the exterior woodowrk, bathroom windowsill and front door...so better have the place spick and span;)

I'm going to nip to Tesco soon and see if they have some pants for dd1, and get something for dinner. Will get a bit of petrol too while I'm there...it's the cheapest garage around, not by much but I'll get points too.

I'm glad it's not sunny and warm - no temptation to sit in the garden:o
