Probably best to get the girls to delete him. I have just had a thought though - I don't know your history with your ex but could he be putting all this stuff on facebook to make you jealous? I can't think of any other reason why a grown man would want his daughters to see what he's up to unless he wanted things to get back to you. By all means put what you like if you know that all those who see it wouldn't get upset by it. Seems very strange to me.

Forgive me if I am barking up the wrong tree completely

I must admit I have stayed away from facebook for almost a week now because I saw some stuff that upset me and TBH I haven't missed it that much :)

Oh noooo, nothing to do with wanting me to see it, of that I'm sure:rotfl:
He thinks he's really great, with his young, brand name clothes, going out a lot, he thinks it looks impressive...what an idiot;) I'm always being told (by him) that what he does is none of his business...I couldn't care less anyway, unless it affects my daughters!

He genuinely thinks it's all fine for them to see him announce a new girlfriend...I just think for them to see that from their dad is plain weird:p

I do find myself nosing about on there and I shouldn't waste the time ... I might do as you've done and stay away.

  • hey pix you know what I find FB quite insideous these days - full of ppl wanting to portray themselves as having the most fabulous lives - I'm sure they're lives are fine & dandy the same as everyone elses (and with that comes the mundane-ness that is rel life!) - or they are having total meltdowns in front of an audience. Really find it quite sad only occasionally go on myself. When grown adults are prading around trying to impress others with their teenage exploits well its time for me to have a glass of wine & snuggle up with a book & my own counsel! x

Well, how typical - the goldfish died:rotfl:
He must have known I'd spent money on his new tank;) So of course, now dd2 wants another one to go in the new tank.

I spent £2.50 on lunch today..oops:o I usually come home but today I thought I'd stay for a chat.

Nothing else to report...all is quiet on the numpty ex front, thank goodness. He added girls again on fb but they've just not responded to it. He's not going to let it drop. Girls are going to his mums for lunch on Sunday...I'm going to talk to him when he drops them back, tell him not to speak to me like that again, cheek of it, yelling and swearing:mad: He's not welcome to come sit and wait for girls in my house again - it's wait by the door now please;);)

I think i should step away for the forum...and hang my head in shame:o
I've just taken out a loan with my bank for £2800 to buy a car at the weekend. I'm going to put £3k down cash and have borrowed the rest. I feel very bad now the money is in my bank...but I will have a reliable car to last me for years that I won't worry about driving. So, I'm not debt free any more:( But - I was sorely tempted with a new car, as in this year's model...but I thought I shouldn't pay more than £100 pm ... so have gone for an 08 model and the loan costing £100 a month over 3 yrs.

I'm now going to be a lot stricter on the other spending...I seem to have got a bit lazy and taken my eye off it all...not too badly, I'm still debt free but I am guilty of overspending on groceries and things we don't really need. So challenge now is to spend the summer hols not spending too much;)

Once I get over my guilt about the loan, I know I will just LOVE the car:D

    Afternoon;)

I was going to give up on the diary...as I feel really silly posting here when I've just spent so much money on a car:o
But...I need to keep an eye on everything and not slip into spending money easily so I'm going to keep the diary going and make sure I don't lose the plot:D

So - I have the car:) I have just closed the loan I took out with the bank as the car dealer gave me a better rate.I got a year warranty at a reduced price, I put £3k down on the car so am paying £83 a month back now on the rest. I did look at my finances before i all and I do have the money available each month, it's not leaving me short. Ok, I've now made my attempt at justifying it - now I'll just enjoy it:D

I'm off to get a few groceries soon - we have my niece here until Wed. Next thursday we're off on holiday for a week so I don't want to spend much on groceries - also, the grocery account is quite low, considering it's only Aug 1st now:eek: So, meal plan is done and i will NOT spend too much.

I had a really lazy week last week - now I need to be a bit busier and get things round the house done, while I have the time. I need to think what needs doing.

Hope all well - if you're still reading that is;)

So, today I've had my B12 injection and off to the hairdresser in an hour. DD2 is off swimming with her friend so have given her £5 for entry and a drink/snack after.

£14 from Quidco and £40 Onepoll money arrived in my current account today so I've moved them out of the current account - but if i need to use if during the rest of the hols then I know it's there.

Darn BT need to be rung today - in June when I had my bill they wanted to put my monthly dd up to £56:eek: I had a couple fo charges for using over our monthly internet allowance but have now changed package so got more gb for less money - pleased with that. So, because I didnt want my monthly dd going up, I paid the outstanding balance off and asked if it'd keep my dd the same which they said it would. Of course, they were wrong and £56 left my account yesterday - how annoying:mad:

I have just printed my mitigating circumstances form for uni....again:o I've asked my GP to write another letter so need to get that all filled in and sent off before we go on holiday next week.

Must book the airport parking today too - eeek, £42:eek: I have a pile of things to ebay but don't really want to list now with going away next week. I could list them for 10days and have them end the day we get home I guess. I need to make some money;)

Ok, time to bring the dry washing in and have a quick tidy round before the hairdresser.

    Hiya Pixiechick :)

Yay to the new car! Definitely justified! Don't feel bad!!!

I am the biggest DFW fraudster going tbh - truthfully, I'm not in as much of a hurry to pay off my cc any more :o Is that bad???! I'm happy that my deal is at 0% and also happy that next year's holiday was booked on credit… Going to a wedding abroad - would've missed it had I saved up first :rotfl: I still like posting to keep track/justify spending and no longer feel like my cc spending is out of control - everything put on it now is either cleared at the end of the month or a big purchase I know I need to clear by £x a month etc. I'm sure you were v sensible with your car purchase/shopped around for best loan etc and it's a necessity for you. If you'd told me you went on a spending spree round Selfridges then I would be telling you off :p (I secretly want a £10k car, £135k house and £400 handbag… hmm, how to justify all those things… :rotfl: )

Hope you're having a lovely summer holiday :)
