Apologies to anyone who gets upset when the plan is questioned and analysed, no offence intended. Oh and my use of 'you' isn't personal, I just thinks that on a forum saying 'one chooses to have a chocolate bar in the evening' sounds like royalty! Do you think Camilla should be doing SW to slim down for the wedding?;)
By the way, that steak and kidney was DIVINE. I'll go back and find my post and add it to the recipe thread I think, so I can find it again. Still some left (for a little while anyway):jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Pub measure (25ml) of spirits are 2.5syns. Remember to have diet coke or slimline tonic though! I find spirits are an excellent way of keeping the syns down.
Thank you for that - can have a few vodka and slimline tonics or diet cokes then tonight - will see how I go as not a big drinker since going on SW and need to stay pretty sober as I have to get myself back home on my own. There is a train at 10.30pm otherwise will have to get a taxi as don't feel safe getting 11.30pm train. Getting the earlier one only involves a 10 min walk but would have to nip up a short unlit gully.
Have kept low syn today as going out and had a big pasta/salad meal tonight so I don't feel like snacking later, might put bag of french fries or some fruit in my bag in case everyone starts on the crisps!
Found out cousins 40th family meet up tomorrow is now involving Chinese - I shall pick up takeaway from the Chinese in Birmingham on the way across as they do low fat tofu dishes on the vegan menu. Doubt I'd find anything I could eat on a normal Chinese take out menu as need SW friendly and vegan!
Got to go to a christening and buffet at the house after Sunday - have been told there is not any vegan food so that will be fine - no temptation!

Thanks for the replies to my question about french fries having syns and pasta having loads of calories, I am a newbie and far to inquisitive for my own good, I am nver happy unless I know the reasons behind everything lol.
I do understand why the likes of French fries crisps are synned, what I don't get is why pasta n sauce and mugshots aren't. THey are so high in calories, and by putting them as a free food makes me think I am ok eating a full pack of pasta n sauce for supper, am I right with saying that??? Cos I sit there thinking I could just go something to eat now, and am tempted to make some, then think of the calories and that stops me. The way I see it, surely I am better to not eat the pasta n sauce than I am too eat it. But then SW tells me to fill up as much as i want on this free food. I want to lose weight soooo much I don't want to do anything I shouldnt do, and I just feel eating 250-500 calories without synning it isn't going to help my weight loss.
Also someone mentioned about saving syns up/using them, I go out on a wed night and have 20 syns worth of vodka :-) I keep my syns for that day for the drinks and save up the other 5 from other days of the week, am I ok doing this???

Lunch: HM Veg soup & chicken butty (HEB)
Tea: CHicken breast, loads of carrrot & turnip, sweetcorn and mushrooms & gravy (2)
Supper: I got some syns to play with, so might indulge in bag of snack a jacks and a highlights hot choc yummmmmmm
I also want to say well done to you all for losing so much this week, you all amaze me, I just hope I have a loss on my next WI, cos I think 2 weeks with STS would really effect my willpower and possibly turn me to drink!!! xx0 -

Our consultant gave a little talk on this last night, whilst she said it wasnt a good idea to go 'syn free all week and have a blow out regularly every weekend' using them all in one go,it was perfectly fine to go under syn each day & save a few for if you have a regular drink night where you know you use a few more than your 15
I hardly ever go up to my 15 a day....but thats because I just dont seem to fit them in most days as ive eaten all the free stuff, but I know then at the weekend if I do want a bit extra gravy or a glass of wine or a piece of extra something I can have it as Ive a few syns saved in my secret emergency stash (BUT as a general rule Im a use em or lose em person)0 -

Evening all, (did I sound like Dixon of Dock Green then?) - Am I the only one who remembers Dixon of Dock Green?
Just dropping in to say that I have actually stayed on plan ALL DAY!!!!!!!! This doesn't sound like much but when you've struggled since Christmas like I have thn it really is an achievement.
I think your bottled willpower has helped a lot Dizzy so can I reclaim my seat on your trusty tank? Thanks in advance.
I might add now that I'm going to bed at this stupid hour just to make sure that this momentous day is not ruined.

A BIG thank you for all the 'hugs' this has been the worse I have felt for many a year. I feel a big black pit of depression has opened before me and I'm a teaspoon away from falling in. I'm hoping its just a combination of events and * week. I will not go back to medication no way.
I am sending this post via carrier pidgeon as have fallen off the wagon and am sprawled by the side of the road & can't get up at the moment. Have been ravenous since 'the day' and have eaten mostly rubbish. Hopefully will manage to get up by Monday and flag down a passing tortoise to give me a lift back to the wagon. Reading that back I think I need a straight jacket :rotfl:.
Dam broadbands playing up too, has dropped 5 times while trying to do this post grrrrrrrrrrIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I'm thinking of doing a green day tomorrow, first time I have considered changing from EE, could someone tell me if this is ok for green, as I am baffled.
Sleep in so no breakfast
Lunch: Jacket spud & pasta or beans
Tea: Veggy omlette (peppers, onion, mushrooms, sweetcorn & slice of chicken chopped up (HEB), 2 lots of 42g (84g) reduced cheese HEA & HEB) and beans
2nd HEA: Milk in tea
Think I have it right with the 2 lots of cheese, have I? as I see cheese on HEA sheet and HEB on the extra healthy extra green day
