Ok, i officially don't like red days:(
Just had to syn 2 weetabix as i was hungry, so have now used my full 15 syns for the day as i had a kitkat too. Will rethink tomorrows plan as it was meant to be red too:eek: Hubby wants to do red days, we don't eat together as he works late so i think i'll still make what i was planning to anyway and freeze him some portions.
Might make cheese and onion pie for me.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi all. I have been lurking here this week seeing how the thread works. I lost 3 stone with SW 4 years ago and since then half of it has crept back on. This week reached an all time low when I heard myself say I didnt like Skype cos it made me look like i had a double chin!!! :doh:I had just decided to start doing it on my own at home as didnt really have spare pennies, but then got an email today from my old consultant:
In fact, to help you after the Christmas spending, between 3rd and 29th January we’ve got an offer of free membership when you buy a 12-week Countdown, so as well as giving your commitment a boost, you’ll be saving almost £20 membership fee plus two free weeks).
Seems a good deal to me. Can anyone tell me what a countdown costs these days so i can make a decision and get on with it!!
thanks:wall:Trying to get a grip :think:0 -
just had a lovely veggie curry that I THINK is syn-free for Green and EE:
Onion
garlic
ginger
Medium curry powder
garam masala
tumeric
red chilli
potato chunks (with skin)
chopped carrot
Red pepper
Chicken stock
tin of toms
red lentils
spinach
total 0%
Had it with boiled rice an a mini onion bhaji (frozen from Lidl - I'm estimating 2.5 syns) and I gave OH both the samosas to keep my syns down!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

It looks like it'd be free to me too Bettyb!!!
I've been to WI tonight and have lost 2lbs....very pleased with that as have had 2 days partly off plan this week due to the new year celebrations. Hopefully that means that my new plan of exercising five times per week is going to make the difference! I have done 4 so far this week so have 1 more to do tomorrow as I won't have time on Friday. Tonight I got my old exercise DVDs out and started with one of my Davina workouts. It's split into 3 sections and I did one called 'core stability' as I know I need to tone up as much as lose the last few pounds. I enjoyed it so much I then did another one ('pump') so I did an hour in the end. Poor OH was banished to the bedroom while I did it as if anyone is watching I just end up in fits of giggles and totally unable to do anything!!0 -
I am back on it this week after a 3 1/2lb gain over Christmas, lost 4st 2lb since june. loads to go.
anyway a really tasty extra easy chicken syn free soup (so tasty my hubby and kids eat it to)
2 carrots
2 celery
2 onion
2 leeks
2 chicken stock
1 veg stock
1/2 cup of lentils
cook in water till soft.
blend the mixture
take some cooked chicken take off any skin or bone (i normal buy a cooked chicken from supermarket) and cut or rip into small pieces and add to the soup, add mix herbs and pepper and cook for a little longer
I normally do mine in a slow cooker and double the recipe (i have a huge slow cooker). If its a little too watery i cook it for 2 hours with the lid off to thicken.Avid freecycler (Received Dishwasher, Cooker, 0ver, fridge, freezer and Bathroom suit)

Dinner went down quite well over here but I have to say, SW's idea of a goulash is not really a goulash...might be better done in the slow cooker, but that can wait till another week!
Think I'm going green tomorrow with some hasbrowns for breakfast that i found on the minimins forum!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Well I must say this is my 1st ever post on here and I'm really hoping you guys can help me out
I'm starting this Slimming World as of tomorrow- having fairly followed it today but not to the letter. I'm doing it all on my own as I cant afford the classes and just need that moral support
I stumbled across this site and thread at work this afternoon and having been reading on and off ever since!
I'm a size 14 and seem to slowly be getting bigger- gone are the years where I could pretty much eat what I want and stay the same size and unfortunatly I've learnt the harder way. I only need to lose 2-3 stone (that might not sound alot but the way I feel its a huge mountain!) Ive lost all my self confidence and motivation in the last year with this weight gain and its time for a change
My BIGGEST down fall is dairyso Ive now bought RED.....YES RED MILK!!! I've got the scales out for the cheese!
So I'll be logging on everyday with my Food Diary and weigh myself once a weekHeres to hoping for a successful 2011!! (and getting to know you guys!)
Some doctors were doing 12 week slimming world course on prescription. As I remember 4 women at the group i attended using them a couple of months ago. You just take the vouchers to use at your nearest group. Maybe worth asking your doc.Avid freecycler (Received Dishwasher, Cooker, 0ver, fridge, freezer and Bathroom suit)

planned tomorrow's dinner with OH - going to do an almost syn free pizza!!
Going to use HEB for the base (tesco crusty wholemeal flour) and HEA for the cheese, then load it with veggies!
There will be a small amount of syns as I have a bit of ricotta cheese left to use up (prob only about 2 syns tho - will weigh it) So excited!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
