Round no.2 of the falafel saga is chilling in the fridge:o I'm determined to make nice syn free falafel. They look much better than my first attempt, was pretty sceptical about the amount of eggs in the recipe and guess i was right.
Sitting here eating cauldron falafel, i think i have issues, is there a falafel addicts anonymous group i can join? Its just so good.
Anyhoo, i bet you're all sick of hearing the F word.
Will probably be AWOL this week, hubby is redoing our bathroom so i'm setting up camp at my parents. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I bought in Asda the Pasta n sauce as they are on offer. Had one yesterday using part milk as it says on packet. Has any one tried it with just water? If so could you taste the difference?
I'll post todays meals later
I make mine with water only....and they are fine. But I do like to sometimes add a extra light mad cow at the end from my HEA or a spoon of free quark to make it creamy yummmmmy0 -
Big hugs, Takeiteazy x
Guns, you are making me laugh with your F-word issues
DKAM - good luck with your "venture", it'll be more fun and less mess than your friends' cakemaking business I am sure!
I've just had haggis for lunch, I missed out on Burns Night but found one in the supermarket. Should last all week. Cos I don't much care for swede and really hate carrot I decided my version of "bashed neeps" would be butternut squash and potato, with butter bud and aromat sprinkled on, and all bashed up. It was lovely. I had some soya beans with it too. Only because I thought they were frozen peas and I'd tipped them into the bowl before I realised. They don't taste of much, soya beans don't.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

(((hugs))) TakeItEazy :grouphug: - sorry that one looks a bit dodgy but you know what I mean
Jill36 - the Pasta n Sauces are fine without milk - try it and I doubt you'll taste a difference.
I have a similar recipe to yours lbnblbnb :-
Breakfast Muffins (Serves 2)
4 syn-free sausages, chopped
2oz chopped red pepper
2oz chopped onion
5 eggs, beaten,
4oz chopped mushrooms
2oz grated cheddar cheese (HEA)
Coat a 6 cup muffin pan with Frylight and preheat the oven to Gas 4
1. In a medium non-stick frying pan, cook the sausage, pepper and onion over a medium heat for 5 mins or until the sausage is browned.
2. Put the mixture in a bowl and cool slightly then stir in the eggs and mushrooms.
3. Spoon the mixture evenly into the muffin pan and sprinkle each muffin with cheese.
4. Bake for 20 mins or until eggs have set.
Serve with bacon, tomatoes and ‘fried’ diced potatoes.
Syn-free on Extra Easy plan + HEA
Syn free on Original (+ HEA) if using potato as HEB
Syn Free on Green (+ HEA) if using bacon as HEB
I've added both this recipe and the Falafel one to the recipe thread (here for any newbies) :-
