Went out to Cheltenham today - that place is so spread out! Love it though - walked miles - in fact my legs/knees ached tonight - I did not get a bus and went on a walking detour to visit the organic supermarket then town then back to the station - carrying a rucksack of heavy food items!
Despite being in the organic supermarket all the lunch options were sandwiches/wraps - all the vegan ones were hummous ones and mega fat so had to make do with fruit until about 3pm when I finally sat down for a jacket and beans.
Anyway food today:
B- 2 weetabix, rice milk, banana (HEA/B)
Snack - apple, banana
Late lunch - jacket & beans, 28g soya cheese (HEA) side salad
D - Falafel (must work out syns - mini cauldron type) massive salad, few slices of smoked tofu
Syns - scoop of booja booja choc ice cream (vegan mainly raw sugar free ice cream) got to remember password again for SW site for syns calculator) Am thinking 6 syns but maybe more.
Am going through a salad phase at the mo which is good!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Have got a lunch out tomorrow - in aid of the local animal sanctuary:)
Friends are doing the cooking and 35 of us are going.
It's a vegan meal so I know I'll eat a fair bit but will be careful.
I've decided not to have the starter which is salsa and nachos - well salsa is ok but I'll take carrot sticks as won't have nachos (use to be a crisp addict so don't have any these days - safer!)
Main is jacket and chilli - will be fine
Pud is a vegan choc sponge - I'll have a small slice and guess syns.
Even more temptation is that there is a vegan cake/cookie stall and a vegan sweet shop/choc stall there:eek:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

My legs are ok today but ached last night! Did do miles, shame my pedometers broken. The Natural grocery store is really good, expensive but has a great range - I spent loads in there yesterday. There is another smaler health store opposite.
Both are on the Bath Road - near a pub called Exmouth tavern/arms or something? Open 8am - 10pm and well worth a look.

Morning all
Sorry I've not posted much this week at all, my vertigo has been very bad so I haven't felt like it. I've stuck to plan everyday apart from Friday where I went to my friend's for dinner, all the meal was SW friendly bar the desert which was so yummy! :rotfl:
I will be away with work Mon-Thurs so won't be posting much next week either. Meals may be tricky next week as I'm taking 12 teenagers away and we (they) cook for ourselves. They have chosen pretty ok meals - spag bol, curry and fajitas. So I just need to make sure they don't add too much oil etc.
My vertigo means I can't go to the gymwhich is really beginning to pi$$ me off now as I was really liking going. Hopefully I'll start feeling better in a week or two.
I'll post my meal plan for today later.
I've bought the new mag so I'm going to have a read through and see what yummy recipes there are

Yes (I'm pretty sure) all dried egg noodles are free on green. If you use fresh they have oil in so are quite high in syns.

Me too, I always try and do it, I make a carbonara style dish using phillidelphia, I call it 'Phillynara'And a pasta dish using, tuna, tomato sauce and mayonaise, that is 'tuna tomayo pasta'

Aw that's rotten hun. My TOTM has been worse since I stopped being on the pill, and it was making me feel quite poorly each time. It has settled down more now, but has taken blimmin ages to do so. Take good care of yourself, and have my sympathies on the homone front. It saps me of all patience where the children are concerned, and I feel so guilty for being snappy with them. Have you tried Evening Primrose Oil and Starflower Oil in the week before you come on? I do find they help, and a friend of mine with awful PMT swears by them now.
We didn't get to swimming in the end because my BF was aching so much after the previous night's gym workout. We'll go next week instead. I wasn't too bothered because I'm still doing lots of work trying to organise myself to try to get my cake business off the ground. How's the new job going? Have you earnt a pound yet? lol I'm intrigued with the research, but then I do have a very dirty mind, so you can imagine where it's wandered off to.....:o
I earned £10 the other night, I am only allowed to earn up to £20 until I sign off of Income support so I'm not logging on much, I have an appointment with a lone parent advisor tommorrow to fill in some paperwork, then I should be good to go!
As far as reserch goes, there are alot of terms that you need to at least familiarise yourself with, aswell as finding tips on how to keep conversaations going, how to ask the right questions to spark a conversation, you would be surprised at how hard it is to have a convo with someone who is not very forthcoming in the chat department! :rotfl:
Obviously you don't NEED to research all this stuff, but I want to maximise my chances of getting callers and keeping them on the line as for me this is going to be a main income for the forseeable future.
A couple of the women up the school have just set up a cake business, I'm going to order the boys cakes off them for their birthdays x0 -
As far as the falafel recipes go, I have used the non-egg recipe and it was very good. I am not comparing them to the quorn/cauldron ones (never had them) but to the "real" ones (deep fried, humungous syns I should think). I have the "World of Flavours" book, but have never used that recipe.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

Morning gang,
It's a miserable looking day out there, so I don't intend going out in it. I've got a day planned of recipe testing, and then cake decorating, so I'll be in a nice warm kitchen all day.
I forgot to post my food plan yesterday, it looked like this:
Yesterday : Red
B - banana, Fibre plus bar [HeB], coffee
L - bacon, white roll (6 syns), ketchup (1 syn), WW dessert yogurt
D - Bolognese (incl. onion/garlic/peppers/mushrooms/passata/celery), 100g w/m pasta [HeB], l/f cheese [HeA]
Snacks - SW quiche.... I keep dipping into this and it's disappearing fast!
Other HeA was on milk in teas
I felt like I'd really got the munchies all day, and was fighting to eat all the time. I know the SW quiche is a good stand by, but I'm sure eating loads of it isn't ideal. Mind you, when it came to my evening meal, I couldn't manage to eat it all, even though it was only a small plate full, so go figure that one? maybe I've overfilled on the quiche?
So, today's plan is going to be a bit more organised, as I felt yesterday was made up as I went along.
Today's plan : EE
B - FF Activia, blueberries, nectarine
L - Mugshot, SW quiche, WW yogurt
D - Roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds (6 syns), carrots, broccoli, peas, leeks, gravy (2 syns)
HeA - milk in teas
HeB - Fibre plus bar for snack sometime
That looks like a reasonable day to me, and I'm really looking forward to my roast. Yummers!
Right, I'd better get into the kitchen and cook up a storm. One thing guaranteed is that after a day surrounded by food, I don't feel like eating it, so it's a good thing really, and may curb my munchies.
Have a great Sunday guys! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
