    Morning,

Just had a coffee and will have a think about food in a bit.

Going to cook my falafel in a minute, they have been chilling overnight. They smell good, hope they taste good too!

can you share the recipe for falafel ? I have lots of tinned chick peas in my cupboard after A$da who were meant to deliver chick pea dahl, delivered chick peas instead ! and I had ordered a dozen tins !!!!

I'm out for dinner tonight and although the pub has a website, they don't have their menu online so I can't forward plan :(

I've had a hi fi bar for breakfast so we will count that as my HEB and I am enjoying milk in my tea so that will be my HEA today. It makes sense to be Extra Easy today (although I struggle with EE as I am a red/green girl).

My second breakfast is the fruit pot i picked up in Mr T yesterday. Lunch is my vegetable curry / soup that i made the other week which I shall enjoy with a jacket spud or two. I may cook up some extra veg to bulk out the superfree.

Tea tonight is at the pub as mentioned above - I shall probably aim for steak and hope I can get a nice salad with it :j

I'm tempted not to drink - last time I went out with this group, they were going through wine like it was water and I don't want the head from hell tomorrow !!

Mirry - are they medicating your thyroid? Hugs to you - we don't need anything else to slow our weight loss do we! x

Woot - geeky physiology time? Sounds like your are not leaving enough time between your training blocks full stop, and are therefore in a spiral of training yourself to be less fit - maybe time to try either training for shorter periods of less intensity or (this one is preferable) every other day? Will elaborate with more detailed stuff if you're interested and don't already know it! ;)

I had a munchies attack last night and ended up with 15.5 syns. Could have been much worse had I not battered the cheese fairy with the grater of doom! :D

Slipped down a step this morning - ow. Not an awkward landing, but still landed heavily on that foot. So there goes my daily hobble if it doesn't stop hurting. Coooeeee, Davina.... :D I actually ache slightly from last night's boxercise/abs workout, first time since BL I have managed a decent workout (hopping excepted, that was freakishly hard!). Hmmm, maybe I should take up hopping again?!

    Breakfast was chocolate weetabix (a & b & 2)
I have no idea what the rest of the day's eating involves. Despite having been to Tesco yesterday I don't feel like I have anything proper to eat, in!

Ive heard you mention these (shop bought) loads in your menus....I saw some In Asda for the 1st time the other day and was really tempted, what do they taste of?? do let us know what the HM ones turn out like :)

Don't think i'm going to stop buying my shop bought ones anytime soon! HM ones were not great, but i realised i missed out the bicarb and the salt so that may account for some of the lack of flavour:o That'll teach me to do stuff in a hurry.

    I used this recipe http://en-gb.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=413768638355&topic=15820

It is from the SW world of flavours book.

I'm doing alternated splits so no need for any rest days at all, I just think stress from work and the DIY I'm doing at home is just making things hard.

    This is the SW version:-

    Falafel

.If you don't have time to soak the dried chick peas for 48 hours, you could use canned ones instead. The falafel are traditionally deep fried for a really crisp finish, but they taste just as good baked in the oven.

    227g/8ozs dried chick peas
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 level tsp ground cumin
    1 level tsp ground coriander
1 small red chilli, deseeded & finely chopped
    1 tblsp chopped fresh coriander
    2 tblsps chopped parsley
    ¼ tsp baking powder
salt & freshly ground black pepper
    Fry light for spraying

    1. Put the chick peas in a bowl and cover with plenty of cold water. Leave to soak for at least 48 hours. Drain and rinse well under cold running water in a colander.

    2. Put the drained chick peas in a food processor with the onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, chilli and herbs. Process to a thick smooth pur!e. Add the baking powder and seasoning and stir well. Transfer to a bowl and chill in the fridge for an hour.

    3. Take small pieces of the mixture and form into little balls between your hands, then flatten slightly. Arrange these balls on a baking tray which has been sprayed with Frylight.

    4. Cook the falafel in a preheated hot oven at 220°C/425°F/Reg 7, for about 12 - 15 minutes until crisp and golden.

A bowl of very low fat natural yogurt flavoured with fresh mint and chopped chilli, makes a good dip for the falafel.

Oh bummer, I hadn't realised someone had already linked to the same recipe, sorry!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Well done you, I'm impressed :) I do love HM soups though, they're so easy and filling, not to mention helpful for weight loss. I usually have mine with Crackerbread and kid myself they're croutons :D

Is reduced fat one a HEa as well? If so how much? Must be more than normal I'd have thought.

    Thanks for looking :A

It doesn't list the reduced fat one as a HEA unfortunately.

    Afternoon lurverlies !

Just popping on to share menu for today (EE):

    B - 2 boiled eggs, 2 slices w/meal Hovis (HEB), spread (1) 1/4 honeydew melon
L - quorn pieces, stir fry vegetables, beansprouts, egg noodles, stir fry sauce (2)
D - 3 course valentines meal from the magazine (being cooked for me by DH):iloveyou: (from memory it's 10 syns)

    Snacks - fruit
    HEA = Milk

Now I have bought DH a nice bottle of Borolo so I might have to have a small glass so I'll be over syns today. Which leads me to a quick question .......... shall I just cut down on syns tomorrow to allow for the wine?
