Ok I feel a rant coming on!
Why is cheap processed food just that cheap!!
In Asda last night they had chilled pizza (size of dustbin lids) for £2.50
Garlic bread x2 50p
Hot x bun loaf (large) 50p
None of these were in the reduced shelf so presume these are an on going promotion.
What I went there for were more expensive than last week i.e peppers 80p each or 3 in a pack £1.30. Clementines and plums were £1.80 and £1.20 for 6:eek:. Ok bags of carrots were 50p
I have been out of work since the week before Christmas, have been using savings to subsidise DH earnings. (they will be gone end of this month).
I think the recipe thread is great and I will be using this alot.
Right feel better for that.
Thanks for listening0 -
I spent last night and this morning opening the fridge, looking at the contents and then closing the fridge again. Then I read this thread and trundled off to make a quiche with a potato base, and cottage cheese, eggs, onions and tomatoes as a topping. It was yummy, and thank you yet again.0

I read this interesting article in yesterday's Daily Mail.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1355384/Why-ARE-men-better-losing-weight-women.html
There's a bit about SW near the end.
I can just see the grin on woot's face after reading that!:rotfl:0 -

I just dont have time or energy to really think about what i am eating but will be back on once i am in and settled.
on the plus side i hope to loose weight by packing and carrying loads of heavy stuff and running around like a nutter trying to organise stuff!
good luck with moving hun (don't envy you:eek:)....the dizzy tank wagon will be waiting for you when you're ready to get back back on itx x

I always use that site before we shop, but were quite lucky as we have sainsbury more or less next door to Asda so I can do a bit of clever shopping for the bargains :money: Asda have got big blocks of wyke farms cheddar cheese (almost a kilo) for £4 this week.....good to put in the freezer, 4 tins of tuna £3, pineapples £10 -
Afternoon, just had a very late lunch of falafel(4.5) and rice. Bought stuff to make my own syn free falafel. I shall report back if they are any good.
Had 2 activia, a nana, 2 clementines and 2 alpen light(B) for breakfast.
Used one B and a bit of an A so far and 4.5 syns.
Dinner will be quorn meatballs and pasta, all syn free topped with an A of cheese.
Have some yummy looking strawberries in so will spend some syns on meringue to go with them later. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Right, following a totally undeserved sts this week (by rights I should have gained at least 2lb) I've decided to pull myself together and stick to the plan 100% for this week. The "one more glass of wine won't be too bad" and "at least I'm eating better" excuses are totally gone! I chose to do SW because I needed to lose weight, and I only need a bit more willpower to stick to it!
Today (EE):
B - fruit, yog + oats (HEB)
L - chilli (HM with millions of peppers, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes)
D - steamed salmon with veg rice and peas
Snacks - kiwi, tangerine, 2x mullerlight
Syns - unknown
I am often finding it difficult to fit in my HEA, but I think with the amount of yoghurt I'm eating I am not lacking calcium.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner
