  • I tried that and found it needed sweetener adding (and I don't even like sweet stuff much, but I just had a longing and found that hit the spot nicely!)
The options stirred into total 0% greek yogurt is lovely, the white choc one makes it taste like cream, and no need to add sweetner x

    Thanks for this,:)
So do you think the tesco value one should be 3 1/2 per 100 mls?

I bought loads of custard i have no idea why, or what i am going to do with the stuff especially as the birds one is 15 syns
I would guess so hun, but I'm a bit rubbish with these things! x

Another syn-free day for me today I think! Plus the gym tonight, going to mix it up as I'm getting annoyed with myself for only running 6km so I'll do 40 minutes of rowing instead. Should be a 600 calorie workout if I work hard enough, no reason not to!

Having seen this post, I wanted to mention that there is already a Sw recipe thread tacked onto the end of a slimming recipes thread here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=1948340&postcount=3.

Perhaps someone could collate the recipes and add them to the new thread - or is that all a lot of unnecessary work???

Thanks for this! I never venture into the old style boards so didn't know this existed already!

Would people prefer to add the recipes to the bigger thread, or would you rather I swap everything over to the new thread? I'm happy either way, but I did notice that the index of the old thread hasn't been updated since 2008.

It wouldn't take me long to link to the original recipe posts i.e they wouldn't be actually in the thread but you could access them from the first post. Alternatively I can add them in individually (giving a link and credit to the original post) and I can look at updating the syns as some of the recipes are quite a few years old and don't include EE.

Like I said I don't mind just using the other thread if that's what others want.

Yesterday was quite a bad day syn wise. I caved and had dominos pizza. It was thin crust with low fat cheese if that helps!! :D.

Anyway, slate wiped clean as I'm not calculating the syns for it. I enjoyed it though, and as I'm "at target" I can afford to not lose anything this week.

    Lunch

Weetabix and milk (HEA and B) I'm going to try it without sugar, but may end up using a syn.
Some kinda veg (off to morrisons now to buy some!)

    Dinner
Chicken and red wine sauce (3.5 syns)
    Potatoes
    Carrots
    Broccoli
    Mushrooms

Morning all! Had a good SW weekend except for the wine, so I really need to be good for the next few days. Going away with work, does anyone have any ideas for eating out three meals an minimum syns?!

    Todays food:

    B - fruit, yog + oats (HEB)
    L - pasta bolognase
D - cous cous and roasted veg

Also, found a fabby app for my Blackberry that helps me keep track of my exercise each day. It made me realise that when I sit around the house for the day (like I do most Sundays) I use hardly any calories! Even a 30 min walk makes a big difference apparently. Gonna set myself a minimum exercise target at stick to it!

Thanks for this, a great idea ! Been using squirty cream but might try this next time I go shopping :D

Jeans/trousers are beginning to feel a bit less tight so I'm sure I've lost a bit of weight this week, we shall have to see on Weds evening ;)

    Eating today (EE):

B - 0% greek yoghurt, honey, 28g bitesize shredded wheat (HEB), grapes
L - Chicken, bacon & egg salad with balsamic vinegar, mullerlight yoghurt
D - Chicken drumsticks (we like chicken ! :p), SW chips, SW coleslaw & baked beans (1)
    Milk - HEA
Snacks - banana, weetabix cake (3.5)

Still have some syns to use but they'll probably go on tom ketchup for tea and a slice bread/spread for lunch.

Going to go and make the weetabix cake now, yummyyyyyyy !

Be careful with that app that it's not just calculating 'additional' calories. Sitting on your backside or even sleeping all day will still use more than 1,000 calories.

It does both. It automatically starts each day with 8 hours sleeping and 16 hours resting, which is about 1500 calories for my height and weight, so I want to initially aim for using 2000 calories by adding walks / jogs in each day. I like that doing housework counts as exercise too!
