  • Nightmare isnt it, I generally have £35 max a week to spend on food for me and the boys, at least £10 of that goes on fruit alone, and I always end up having to buy more.
Really need to find a job, but its so hard when everyone wants you to commit to weekends or evenings which is completely out of the question for me :(
Might have to go back to the chat lines lol

Ooh chat lines - mind me asking about these, and how much money you can make? Or was that a joke?! :o I need a sitting-down part time job for the next 6 months or so; before I broke my leg my friends were joking (or at least I think they were joking...!) that I should be a dominatrix (:o:o:o) but the broken leg has put paid to that :p So a chat line should be tame! :rotfl:

Well ladies, my tummy ache went off by lunch and I've had a slightly more normal afternoon! I didn't manage any brekkie as it was lunch time by the time I felt up to eating but I never normally miss it so once won't hurt!! I went to enquire about a saddle the local tock shop has been meant to be selling for me this afternoon....

Ooh another achey tummy and horsey person, how exciting!! (well, the horsey bit) :D Glad you got your saddle sorted though - I had a similar experience selling one through a tack shop a few years back, although in all fairness it was a pony saddle and worth £50 so not as much of a sweat as I imagine yours was!

Can some kind person please look up the syn values of an average smoothie? After detoxing/stomach bug/ hangover sufferance yesterday (spent 22/24 hours in bed, and a good porton of the time out of it running to the bathroom - god I felt rough!) I am feeling better today, but have some innocent smoothie left. I think its probs very high in syns :o But it is nice enough to spend syns on - plus I don't have any chocolate around! ;)

Excellent - me and the OH are going to Playacar for our Honeymoon in May. :D

You're a dark horse woot, so you and OH are doing SW so you can be all svelte (?) and gorgeous for your wedding?;)
A tip for pasta is, putting dried pasta in the saucepan of water at least an hour or so before you want to cook it, it rehydrates it then only takes a couple of mins to heat up :D

This sounds good but I need to ask some questions :o Do you soak it in cold water? Have you tried it with wholemeal pasta because I find that takes an age to cook?

You can make up to £10 an hour, no it wasn't a joke, I have done ir before but stopped, but have just signed up with another company but haven't taken the plunge yet lol
I'll PM you the details if you want, they are a reputable company, you have to pay your own tax etc but they pay you fortnightly into your bank, there used to be a thread on here but it got pulled after people started discussing web cam performing and someone even suggested escorting lol

No it's my own recipie, I don't give measurements only with the synned stuff lol

I just get chicken pieces, prawns, stir fry veg and noodles.
cook, drain and cool the noodles, then add soy sauce and about 2 tbsp oyster sauce (1syn) and a bit of sweetner, 1 level tbsp should be ok, and coat the noodles.
fry the chicken and prawns with garlic, then add the stir fry veg anc continue to cook, when its ready add the noodles to the wok and stir through making sure the noodles are heated, you can also push it all to one side, crack in an egg, scramble and mix through.
Last night I added chilli to mine, it was lush!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Tripadvisor... my 2nd favourite too!! I have been on there already to check out some ideas for me and OH to go somewhere. I am thinking of a multi-centre in the Far East/Indian Ocean a city and beach combo or Cuba with Havana/Beach. I like killing several birds with one stone type of holiday :D

BUT I will have to wait a while as OH has just been made redundant from his job here in Warsaw but they have put him in Bulgaria for 3 months so that has given us 3 months breathing space to find another job or they could extend Bulgaria but we REALLY don't want to live there. He has enquired about one in the Bahamas (oooo I'd love that) or we may think of Australia as my friend there says the economy doesn't seem to have taken as much of a hit there as we all have. So if we go to a far away place we won't have a holiday. The UK is v tough for his kind of work so no real chance of going home. We have to go where the work is.

keep your fingers crossed for us everyone.

sorry to hear about hubs job Trixie :( what does he do? hey would be nice living in Oz tho eh ;)....bit warmer than where you are now  Its funny you should say about cuba & the 2 centre holiday....we were looking at the same thing to include havana :)

Wow! So many people have been on here in the last 24 hours!

Well done on the weight losses :T

Thank you very much for the new recipe link - excellent idea! :T

Thank you for the Mexico recommendations - one day ;)

Glad all the poorlies are feeling better :)

    Welcome newbies :)

    I think that's everything, lol

Went out with the girls last night (annual night out ;)). Had a curry with steamed pilau rice - the girls were well impressed that I couldn't be tempted with popadoms and naan breads. That's cos my sins were reserved for the vino!

    So, I calculated:

White wine and lemonade (asked for soda but they messed up:mad:) 5 syns

Curry (bhuna style) 6 syns (?)

2 small glasses of rose - 12 syns

2 vodka & slimline tonic (deffo 25mil measures) 5 syns

Total: 28 (ouch but worth it)

Gonna be a good girl today to make up for the last 3 nights (wine every night :o)

B: Fruit salad, FF greek yogurt, honey
    L: HM veg soup
T: Beef casserole and lots of super free veg

Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx
