Because its horrible stuff :p I think this is a common complaint, has always happened with mine whenever I've used it in the past, but seriously, consider replacing the use of fry light with a good quality non-stick pan which doesn't need anything, or using a few syns on a small amount of a decent oil - its much healthier than the rubbish in frylight. I use an olive oil in a spray bottle, which I think is 1/2 a syn per 3 squirts. Its one of the diet products which I really don't think are good for you in the long run - that and artificial sweetener.

what brand do you use? i would like to move away from frylight too but i am too liberal when pouring oil out of a bottle!!

to the person asking about joining offers my C was telling the newbies last night that if they signed up for a 12 week countdown (12 weeks in advance) not only do you get the usual 2 weeks free but you also pay no joining fee

forgot to say last night that our group lost 20lbs but put 60 on!!!!
our C did have a laugh about it but said she wanted the results reversed next week!!

    Ok Green day today:

    Brekkie:
    Tea with milk (1/2 HEA1)
1 slice WW toast with a fried egg (HEB1)
    Grapes

    Lunch:
Pasta with quark, sweetcorn, green beans and 42g reduced fat cheddar (HEA2)

    Dinner:
Lentil and veg curry with total 0% and 2 syns for a smidge (6.5g) of creamed coconut
    Rice
    1 Onion Bhaji and 1 Samosa = 5 syns

    total syns - 7
Need to have 1/2 HEA - does it matter??

does that look ok??? Feel a bit lost after xmas - forgotten how to do it!!

I am getting one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooking-Marvellous-Basting-Pump-Spray/dp/B001E4G94C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1294233122&sr=1-4

So I can stop using fry light. It mists the oil - so I reckon I can use less than a tsp each time

Here's a question for everyone - what do you tend to do on WI day, especially if your WI is in the evening?

My WI is at 5pm, and I tend to have a breakfast consisting of scrambled egg on toast and a handful of fruit, then approx 2 litres of water before 1pm, then nil by mouth between 1pm and 5pm. Anyone else follow a WI day routine?

    Hi Everyone :)

I have started my slimming world diet today! can't get to a class till next week though so may be asking for some tips till then, my friend has given me some of her books and guides so i think i know what im doing. I'm doing a red day today, had egg, bacon and toast as a B extra, i measured my 250ml semi skimmed milk(HEA) out this morning and plan to use it for a couple of coffees though the day, this is ok to do isnt it? got a nice colourful chilli cooking away in my slow cooker for later, lots of peppers ect in there.

I'm going to weigh myself shortly for the first time in months!!

Thanks re the Frylight. Yep it is disgusting and so full of chemicals - I just thought I would use it up before I go back to proper oil.

I think it is in Lidl they do a spray oil, you can get olive or sunflower more in an aerosol. About £2.29 if anyone is interested.

Also can anyone give me an answer of the Linda Mc Cartney veggie frozen sausages? They are nice but seem a little oily to be 1.5 syns which I think was in my book. They used to be smaller so perhaps the syn value is for those.

I think it's all gone a bit wrong today...

I started off with 28g oats (HeB), a muller light, banana and blueberries, with a dash of semi in a cup of tea (1 syn)

then i had 3 mini baby bel lights (HeA)...doing ok so far...

then I had a snack pack of grapes...then 3 more mini baby bel lights (HeA)...still doing ok so far...

then i went to get a jacket potato with beans for lunch and they'd run out of jackets...here's where it goes wrong...

I ended up having a cheese and coleslaw whole meal long roll no butter/marg (oh a saving grace!) with salad (which had olives in it)

The bread roll thing was worth more than the 1 HeB's I had left, and there was at least double a HeA of cheese, and the coleslaw and olives who knows!

How shall I figure this out? Count the roll as 2 x HeB + 6 syns? Syn the Light baby bells and count the chedder cheese as my 2 HeA? How many syns should I count it as?

    What have I learnt?

1 - prepare for lunch better, if I want a jacket bring one and micro it at work

2 - there were healthier options available, I could have had a salad with meat or eggs without dressing

3 - I could have left and tried somewhere else

4 - caculate the syns before I take a bite

5 - muller lights always seem to make me hungry - seperate point more of a general observation

But a note to myself - just because I've eaten that doesn't mean the day turns into a freefrall...if I just stick to the plan for the rest of the day eating free foods:(
