Morning all, still not feeling well but better than yesterday. Have cleaned the bathroom this morning which nearly finished me off!!! I feel happier now its done though, I hate it when it starts getting all dusty and yukky!!! I'm making one of our favourite teas tonight, I just hope I can taste it, yesterday I could have been eating anything....my taste buds were hibernating!!! I also need to try get more super frees today as I didn't have as many as normal yesterday.
Today is green:
Brekkie - porridge
Lunch - not sure yet, not long had brekkie, might have some more of my houmous
Tea - cod and chorizo stew with mash and veggies
Have a good day all x

Maybe it'll be one of those 'nouvelle cuisine' restaurants with tiny portions?:)Firmly back on plan this week - a great day foodwise yesterday, all home cooked and a heck of a lot of veg and fruit, followed by a quick 6k run and 30 minutes swimming at the gym. Not much I know but it's more than I've been doing over the last couple of weeks!
Also forgot to mention - me and the OH got Couple of the Year at our group
Sounds a lot to me! and may congratulations to you and OH.Syns - wine (rugby is on, so if England win I will have to have real willpower to stick to two glasses)
Don't worry, I have it on good authority that Wales will win!! Cymru am Byth!0 -

No probs although I kind of make it up as I go along so quantities are a bit rough!!!
Houmous
1 can chickpeas
1 clove garlic (original recipe said 4:eek: i used 2 and its a bit much!)
About a quarter of a jar of pepperdews
teaspoon of Toasted sesame oil (2 syns, I might not bother next time as I can't taste it!)
Fat free yogurt or fromage frais
salt and pepper
lemon juice (about 1 lemons worth but I used it from a bottle!)
Blend together everything except the yogurt, gradually add the yogurt till you get the desired consistancy. that's it!
Cod and chorizo Stew (serves 2)
2 Portions of cod (or any white fish or even chicken works well, cut into bitesize pieces)
Chorizo (!!! much as you can spare the syns for!)
1 can tomatoes
Peppers (I use a good hanful of frozen ones)
1 can chickpeas (i sometimes use 2)
1 or 2 Onions (chopped fairly small)
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
Smoked paprika
Seasoning
Balsamic vinegar (I add this to anything with tomatoes!)
1. Cut the chorizo into small pieces and fry until browned and crispy, remove and set aside
2. Add the onion and garlic to the pan on a reduced heat and sautee gently until softened.
3. Add the toms, peppers, chickpeas, paprika and balsamic vinegar and chorizo and bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15 mins then add the fish chunks and cook through (not sure how long for, I probably over cook it, shouldn't take long!!)
4. I serve with mash and veggies.
If you like a bit of spice you can add chilli powder with the paprika (my original smoked paprika was hot but the current one is sweet so I always add some chilli powder).
hope that makes sense, my brain is a bit fuzzy!!!0 -

Wootball, big congratulations on being couple of the year!! If only my OH didn't eat all the extra dougnuts and cakes and lost a little weight then we could have gone for it in my group
Well done on all the losses and minor gains when you were expecting huge ones! It really isn't *that* bad!
Green for me today again
Lunch
Low fat supernoodles
Weetabix and milk plus sugar (HEA and B + 1 syn)
Dinner
Creamy chicken and mushroom tomato pasta (HEB for chicken and another HEA for a little cheese on top)
Dessert will depend on the rugby outcome0 -
I'm off plan today and intend to be off plan tomorrow.
Will be back on sunday.
Well done to you and your OH wootball:T

I totally agree! I remember Gabby Logan once described this as "probably the best 7 week, 6 nation, international rugby tournament in Europe":rotfl:I'm all excitable and probs won't calm down until the day after the last games! Also, when England play I tend to get so nervous that I can't eat all day, so that should help with SW! Downside is defo the need to celebrate victories and commiserate loses, and the fact that we ususally spend the whole of the last day in the pub.
Someone really needs to find a syn-free wine / beer / cider.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Now they got rid of Gavin [pretty boy but can't play rugby for toffee] Hensen they may have a chance. What on earth have Toulon offered him a contract for? His celebrity name I expect cos it can't be his rugby :rotfl: even the pundits agree :rotfl:
Guess what we'll be watching in this house then? Bearing in mind son attends a rugby academy and hubby is an ex player hmmmmmmm I wonder!
Glad we're all teetotal, no worries on the wine/beer front hereIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hello
I was on the diet last year but treated it like one so was a bit of a failure  however I'm back - have been since January 1st and am pleased to report all excess christmas/ birthday/ general food eating poundage (18 lbs) gone forever
I weighed in with a 1/2lb loss this week, was disappointed until I remembered it is * week. So anyone loss this week is a good thing.
I am going to be more pro-active around this board and not just lurk if that's ok with everyone - I'm here for the long haul, believe me!

Right my little chickpeas - I need some advice!
Tomorrow night I'm going out with the girlies from work ... my last night out was in April last year
We are having a curry so I'm gonna go for either a chicken jalfrezi or a chicken rogan josh.
My fave tipple is red wine which I will probably have in the restaurant but when we move on to a bar afterwards I'm thinking vodka & slimline ...
There must be a booze expert out there ...How many syns do you reckon??
