Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news Alison, but I'm sure there've been discussions either on this or a previous thread about Wetherspoons jacket potatoes being injected with oil ...... I'll see if I can track it down (if you want; sometimes it's best not to know)

I've read the thread on Minimins about that - did check myself with head office and local branch and it's not true luckily - scary idea though - it does happen in some places!

I have to double check everything as I'm vegan so can't risk any butter etc being in food. I had beans on toast at the Wetherspoons years back and had a right moan at them as they put butter in the beans!!! When I complained and asked for a butter free one they said ' you said no spread on the toast not the beans!'

Remember a girl in my last job had a pub job too and use to brush outside of spuds in butter or oil - thought it was normal practice too:eek:

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. It's taken me since mid July 2010 to get to target but it's been a slow but sure weight loss as only had 1.5 stone to lose.

That's very well done denise:T. Out of curiosity (because I've still got a way to go myself), when you get to target is there a special programme for maintenance like extra syns or anything?

    EE day

    grilled bacon
    poached egg
    beans
    mushroom
    2x wh bread (HEB)

    massive salad
    dash of Balsamic vinegar (sins???)
cottage cheese quiche with onion mushroom and ham

    beef stew made with oxo

    1/2 tube of smarties 4.5
    light spread on bread 1??

lots of fruit and a few muller lights inbetween
    milk (HEA) for tea

    Is this right?? thanks x

I'd say that looks fine provided the fruit, salad and veg come to a third of your day's food. Good news that balsamic (like all vinegars) is absolutely free!!

Firmly back on plan this week - a great day foodwise yesterday, all home cooked and a heck of a lot of veg and fruit, followed by a quick 6k run and 30 minutes swimming at the gym. Not much I know but it's more than I've been doing over the last couple of weeks! I'll probably do another 6k today but don't think I have time for the swimming as I've got house decorating to do before the rugby at 7:30.

Also forgot to mention - me and the OH got Couple of the Year at our group :)

My eating plans were hijacked again yesterday. We had a phone call to say DS2 had been rushed into hospital. We don't yet knoW what is causing his problem so quite stressful for everyone.
We stopped at a Chinese restaurant on the way home at 10.30. I had chicken with green pepper and egg fried rice. No idea how many sns but I guess I should now have no syns for 3 or 4 days?

Hi everyone *sneaks back in* kind of been off plan all week. Came down with the dreaded cold/flu bug thing that's going around here (oh the perils of working in a hospital) and it's made me not really want to eat and when I do, it's been very off plan. Plus now is the start of * week so I don't even want to know what I weight at the mo! I'm bloated like a big bloated thing! And to top it all off, Le Fiance is taking me out on Saturday as a surprise. All I have been told is to dress appropriate for somewhere with a dress code...but I haven't been told what the dress code involves! So I fear it will be a restaurant that will definitely not be SW friendly. I shall sneak off again now and come back Monday when I will be attacking the free food like a mad woman! Well done to all the losses this week!

Thanks Maman. There doesn't seem to be a specific maintenance programme but my C said to increase my HEA and HEBs this week and see how it goes. I think it's different for everyone so you just have to keep adding additional HEBs until you find the right level for you to maintain.

I hope your DS2 is feeling better soon!

You will be pleased to know that Chinese food isn't that bad at all!

Can't see chicken and green pepper but chicken and mushroom is 5.5 on EE and Red and 11 on Green. Egg fried rice is 4 on EE and Green and 21.5 on Red.

Hopefully you can fit that into your day somehow, but it certainly isn't that bad!
