  • Hi everyone - thanks for all the tips and motivation. Can someone tell me what's in dyno-rod soup? I intend to make lots of home made soup then freeze it in single portions so I always have it ready. I usually do veg soup with lentils or with chicken. I love the lentil one but it does tend to have some, erm, how can I put it - after effects ...

DYNO ROD SOUP it does what it says on the tin :rotfl::rotfl:

Its actually SW speed food soup, and will speed up weight loss. free on green and EE days.

    1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils (or handful of dried)
    2 cans chopped tomatoes
    1 can baked beans
    Handful of split lentils
    2 large leeks
    1 large onion
    4 medium carrots
    2 parsnips
1 each green, red and yellow peppers
    2 vegetable stock cubes
    Salt pepper
    Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)
Chop all vegetables. Put them and everything else into a large pan, cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are soft (about 30 mins). Once cooked, the soup can be left chunky or blended smooth.

It tastes flipping lovely!!!!!! but can cause a few....errr botty burps & ........well I'l leave the rest to your imagination :rotfl::rotfl:

WI went a lot better than I thought. Lost 0.5lb which I was not expecting. I jumped off the wagon last week and still not ready to get back on. Back at doc tonight, think another chest infection:mad: I know I am bad when I had a bit of choc and gave the rest of it to the kids couldn't taste it.
My plan for the week is to try and drink as much as poss (water) and to try and eat.
Them bloody faries have really taken hold this time.
Right back to bed for an hr before collecting the girls.

I just got signed off sick from work for two weeks, stress at work :(. I went into work to hand in my sicknote and jsut got all upset again. My blood pressure is currently 205/126 and I obviously need help.

What I don't need is to turn to comfort eating to make myself feel better but I am having a flexi day, I'm not even counting the syns, back on track again tomorrow.

I am just going to make a cup of tea and eat the chocolate cup cake I bought myself.

I'll just have to make myself go to the gym everyday and try and keep my head from slipping into a major work induced depression.

    Confused57- thanks for your encouragement:).
I haven't got the veggies to make a free soup but I've had the leftover stirfry from last night for lunch and have got butternut squash curry and rice (which I made from scratch last week and froze enough for 2 dinners for OH and myself).
Will try and up the water intake this evening and not have breakfast before WI tomorrow at 9.30am - will just take a couple of bananas to eat after WI.

Just got home from WI and am over the moon to have lost the lb I needed to get to target:j.

Thanks to everyone for their support.

Now to try to maintain this week:D

Really angry with myself over the 4lb gain this week. Deserved it all but I got complacent and stupid.

Fortunately we all have just one birthday a year woot (i'm glad you enjoyed it, belated good wishes). Just draw a line and start again!! I know this is going to happen to me when I have holidays (I'm off to Paris for a few days at half-term) but I reckon that the few lbs I'm likely to put on is only a fraction of my total weightloss and can be sorted when I return. I suppose its a bit like flexi-days. IMO it doesn't matter how off-plan you go on those days, what matters is that you get back on ASAP.

Dizzy, you're so right to go to your WI tonight. It won't get any easier by putting it off. Be brave;)

Am going to try and get another decent loss for next week's WI. Have a couple extra days as I'm changing classes from a Mon to a Wed, so that will help to get rid of my excesses on Tuesday.

    So, today looks like this

4 ryvita and 4 laughing coo light triangles (HEA & HEB)

Baked tattie with left over chicken bits and beans.
    Fruit salad and mullerlight

Dynorod soup followed by beef with onion, carrot, peppers and wee bit of rice.

Snacks - nescafe mocha (4.5syns), maybe Alpen light bar later tonight.

Hope everyone has a good evening :)

Yay - well done you :j

Well done to all the losers

Wootball - it was 1 week, forget about it. You lost so much in total, just get back on the sw tank for this week!

Feeling really poorly today, cold much worse so missing WI tonight and going straight home to bed after work.
