I just got signed off sick from work for two weeks, stress at work :(. I went into work to hand in my sicknote and jsut got all upset again. My blood pressure is currently 205/126 and I obviously need help.

What I don't need is to turn to comfort eating to make myself feel better but I am having a flexi day, I'm not even counting the syns, back on track again tomorrow.

I am just going to make a cup of tea and eat the chocolate cup cake I bought myself.

I'll just have to make myself go to the gym everyday and try and keep my head from slipping into a major work induced depression.

Awww, sorry to hear you are feeling blue feeling-blue.gif

No harm having a flexi day ... maybe we'll see you tomorrow when you are feeling a bit better??

If the gym sounds a bit too much ... take a walk in the fresh air as a first step.

    Afternoon all

Well done on those losses folks :j and double :j joedenise on getting to target,
chin up to those with gains this week and huge hugs to the many poorly peoples *Im keeping my distance as Im not getting the germs* -so if you need me you will find me wrapped up and in a trailer attatched to the back of the "dizzy tank" wearing a respirator in case of fumes from those of you up front
Sorry I was missing in action yesterday 1461.gif.... I just got distracted ...doesn't take much sometimes tongue.gif
Nothing much exciting to report on yesterdays food I seem to be having a few "don't really fancy anything" days confused.gif -

    so it was:-
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • banana
    • activia (2.5)
    • apple
    • salmon fillet
    • tickled cabbage
    • mixed berries
    • activia (2.5)
    • grapefruit
    • goan pork curry (0.5)
    • spoon rice/peas
    • fibre plus (B)
So it wasn't a "bad" day really -just an odd one -and today isn't looking much different... Im really not interested in food eek.gif -anyhoo this is what I will make myself eat:-
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • grapefruit
    • frozen raspberries, cherries, blueberries
    • activia (2.5)
    • jacket potato
    • cottage cheese
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • tomato
    • peppers
    • tickled cabbage
    • tickled beetroot
    • frozen berries
    • activia (2.5)
    • fibre plus (B)
    • 250ml semi (6)
hmmmm not really exciting looking but it will do as its all I fancy.. Im sure I will figure out what is wrong soon... who knows -perhaps I developing a "normal" attitude to food eek.gif -I somehow doubt it tongue.gif
Mum has started SW today -I got her the books online and sent them onto her with some magazines - she has always been a WW, but likes the sound of SW and with how my mum eats it will be much better and easier for her.. we talk every day so she plans on deciding what she is having before I call each day and then she can run it past me to make sure she has it right -she will soon get to grips with it... she reckons she is letting me practice on her in case I get to be a consultant ;)

Well I was busy making more "dangles" yesterday... and hubby put me in touch with someone who works for the 6thsense -the forces newspaper (the wife of one of his mates) and she has told me she will give their reporter a brief run down about the Nepal Trek and she may well come and talk to me so I can get some publicity in the paper fear.gif.... the 1st woman has seen some of the dangles I have made and is thinking I can get some pictures put in the paper and let them know where Im going to stand to try and sell them to see if I can get more support - I love the idea but Im also redface.gif at the thought of having my photo taken....
I have started putting some photos of a few of the bits n bobs Im making into my albums on my minimin profile and have contacted one of the moderators to see if It would be allowed for people to "buy them" if interested -basically by donating the money straight to my *just giving* page -so that no money exchanges hands...just waiting to hear back cross.gif.... Anyway I will get off for now and make a cuppa before I get on with making more stuff.. have a lovely day all and keep at it!!!

Its actually SW speed food soup, and will speed up weight loss. free on green and EE days.

    1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils (or handful of dried)
    2 cans chopped tomatoes
    1 can baked beans
    Handful of split lentils
    2 large leeks
    1 large onion
    4 medium carrots
    2 parsnips
1 each green, red and yellow peppers
    2 vegetable stock cubes
    Salt pepper
    Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)
Chop all vegetables. Put them and everything else into a large pan, cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are soft (about 30 mins). Once cooked, the soup can be left chunky or blended smooth.

    Or lazy version:

Packet of prepared asda vegetable soup mix (99p) or swede and carrot (50p)

    2 tins of baked beans
    2 tins of chopped tomatoes
    2 stock cubes
Handful of dried lentils (careful, this bit is almost cooking!)
    2 handfuls mixed peppers (frozen)
    1 handful onions (frozen)
    teaspoon garlic (frozen)

    :D

Well I was downright norty today, and had a very nice but very synful lunch inapub.. I chose a healthyish choice, but it had ran out, so had pork loin with bbq sauce and cheese, served with chips and a salad... werrrlll, the salad was 1/3 superfree, the rest was free on EE, right?! :p Hum maybe not, but it went very well with two slimline G&Ts and a chocolate cheesecake afterwards :o

I don't care... exams are finished! :j and I'm just heading out for a little walk, and will prob do davina DVD this afternoon, so that might counter it a bit. My friend commented how she was suprised I'd lost weight whilst being on crutches today... it made me :D I love it when someone else notices you've lost weight! :T Back at class next wednesday (can't wait!) to see how much I have lost (if anything...!) since before my break last November. Fingers crossed!! Its quite good motivation not to let my weekend celebrations get too out of hand ;)

Have felt rubbish today, so rubbish, just had to have white toast with lemon curd. Did ignore the minstrels sat next to me all day till son munched his way to just 7 left so I ate them to stop him :o. But that is all I've had since breakfast, have cooked the last of the christmas ham so may have some of that although don't fancy it at the moment. Will try and have my fruit & yog but to be honest don't fancy much of anything. Will just get a drink as feeling thirsty now.

Well done JD on reaching target, come join us on the target sofa its so comfortable you'll do all you can to maintain just so you don't have to move from your comfortable spot :rotfl:. I will squish up in the corner so you don't catch my lurgy ok :p.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. It's taken me since mid July 2010 to get to target but it's been a slow but sure weight loss as only had 1.5 stone to lose.

  • Oh Dizzy and the rest of the sickies, I do hope you all get well soon.

Very windy here and I DO mean the weather (although having said that ....)

Quick report: the winter squash stew was absolutely gorgeous (I had it with some leftover spicy rice, chicken leg and some brocolli). And, tonight I made myself pasta alla carbonara, first time for ages, and it too was fab. None of that icky pretend cream etc, just pasta, eggs, garlic, bacon and parmesan. I could have eaten it ten times over. Followed it with a bowl of melon and raspberries to account for the superfree.

Not sure if one of my neighbours is trapped in a cupboard upstairs, there's a lot of banging going on (unless they can hear the wind from down here and trying to tell me to shut up?)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

1.5lbs off for me this week. Very pleased with that. 6.5lbs to go! I'm now at my "target" so don't have to pay again until I go below 9st 4 at which point it's only 4lb to go to my real target.

Need to eat more food today I've decided - Green day.

    Lunch
    Carrots
Weetabix and milk (HEA and B)
    Sugar (1 syn)

    Dinner
    Chicken (HEB)
    Noodles
    Spring onions
    Chillies
    Soy sauce

I'm still a little hungry and feel like I need something more substantial than a yoghurt.
