1lb loss lastnight, must admit to being a little dissapointed though as thought I had been quite good

Have come across this when searching for chickpea recipies
    Slimming world houmous
    1 can chick peas
    2-4 garlic cloves
small pot fat free fromage frais
    1 small onion
    small pince of chilli powder
    blend it together
and enjoy with veg- carrot sticks or celery its yummy

    Syn free on green day

Is this free on ee days also? was thinking about taking this to work for lunch tomorrow with a large salad and maybe having 3/4salad and 1/4 houmous to see if can get things moving in better direction, any thoughts?

I've already raided the biscuit tin and cooked a less than healthy dinner.

Do I need therapy or just a good talking too? I worry that I'll never get the weight off and will be a fat bride :(

ok here's the deal, your soon to be husband loves you, else he wouldn't be marrying you,so who are you losing weight for? yourself? if thats the case then stop eating stuff that made you fat in the first place,i was in this trough and spoke to my hubby about it,he said he loved me and would rather me happy than 'obsessing' about food and being neurotic about a biscuit! i'm guessing your husband to be will say the same thing if you are brave enough ;) to ask :p

now biscuits and cake is SOOOOOOO fantastic,i love them, but i hate my upper arms, and my t1ts and my sagging belly,so i'm trying to lose the fat that makes me unhappy, but i REALLY wanted pie and chips for tea tonight,so i shall start tomorrow,Day 1
    :D
Come with me,lets start tomorrow with Day 1,you won't fall into SW straight away,i PROMISE you the plan works, just relax with it and if you WANT those biscuits MORE than you want to lose weight, then eat them, its ONLY food:D:D

Take hugs,i'll wipe my greasy face in your hair (i haven't got hair i suffer from alopecia,it could be worse i could be fat too....oh yeah) and tomorrow is a new day xxxx :D:D:D:D:D

Thanks Dizzy, same to you. Get well soon x x x Have been snuggled under blankie all day, had naps every so often when wave of tiredness hits. And why is it only WHITE toast & jam hits the spot when poorly? Hmmm could really go some now :o.

3 days in and I've already lost the plot and fallen off the wagon. This morning I had a sneaky look at the scales and was horrified to see I've gained two pounds, I'm the heaviest now I've been in years if not ever. I hate the sight of my myself undressed but can't resist all the nice things. When I'm in a bad mood like this fruit and veg doesn't really hit the spot.

Step away from the scales NOW, you really should only weigh once a week as your weight fluctuates so much. I know its hard to ignore the scales but why put yourself through the misery when you don't like what they say.
Please give it another go [sw that is] it does work, its just finding the right foods that fill you up and 'hit' the spot. Theres plenty out there. Good luck x x

Is it PMS related or is it more widespread?

What puts you in a bad mood?

Do you normally enjoy the food you cook when on plan?

Are you building in treats, and leaving them for the end of the day, so you can have them but not be tempted to more afterwards (because you're full and will be in bed!)?

It's a little PMS I think, plus missing my OH. He's only been away one night and I'm pining already!

I do enjoy my food yes, and I do build in treats during the day though try to leave them till the evening for when I tend to really want them.

Liz3yy - you are too hard on yourself. 3 days is nowt in this journey of ours. You didn't gain the weight overnight so don't expect it to go overnight - it wont!

Stuffing empty calories such as biscuits wont help either - thats what got you here. You need to re think your priorities here and decide just what you do want. Its no good looking for someone to blame. Your other half being away is just another excuse. Loose the 'its not my fault' mentality and start to take control of yourself.

I keep reading people saying they have 'only' lost a pound - next time you are in the supermarket pick up a 1lb pack of lard - turn it round in your hands and look at it properly. Its pure fat - nothing added but it sure is heavy and quite large. If you have lost 5lbs then pick up 5 of them and see just how much bulk there is in there. Imagine them wrapped round your waist and hips. 1lb is good - never let it be an 'only' - its not just an 'only' its a huge lump of lard that no longer sits on your more than ample butt!!

Now just give yourself a good talking to and take control of what goes in your mouth - no one else is to blame - they didn't put it there!

Ok - lecture over for tonight - Oh one more thing - step away from the scales!!! Put them in the garage until weigh day and stop tormenting yourself ;)
