BettyB, sorry i didn't reply quicker, i only get on for a few minutes at lunchtime. I just got some normal couscous, added boiling water and then when it was ready i added onion powder, garlic salt, and chilli and then coated the chicken in the normal way with egg then the couscous. Baked it for 20 minutes and voila... you could add any hrbs/spices to taste really, or even use flavoured couscous. Do you think it might be classed as a misuse of food though???
thanks, this sounds fab. I might do this for lunch with some turkey I have hanging about in the fridge.
Not sure about the misuse of food but I dont really think it's that big of a deal since you don't use loads and loads to coat it you can't accidentally eat too much (unlike cous cous cake or hm potato crisps which you could esily over indulge in)
I have some salad in the fridge too so lunch will be turkey, couscous and salad - just the couscous happens to be stuck to the turkey!!!blackberry-rum wrote: »I dread to think what they are  did you just let the little ratties scamper all over you :rotfl:
oh har har betty can't spell :rotfl:;) I of course meant blackberries!! But the juice made my little white ratty look like a serial killer with red stains over her mouth and hands, so funny!
EE again today:
brekkie:
tea with 1/2 HEA milk
banana
pomegranate
bacon, egg and toast - HEB
lunch:
turkey with cous cous coating
salad
dinner:

Well, it's official ... check out my signature block!!
At the end of my first week I am very happy to report a 4.5lb loss - woo hoo!! :j
Yesterday's foodie diary was:
B: Banana & yogurt
Snack: Apple
L: Salmon fillet (half after last night's tea), pasta, salad, sprinkle of sweet chilli sauce (Tip from this thread)
Snack: 2 Quality Street (4)
T: SW chips, 2 quorn sausages, beans & egg
(I usually eat a bit more but was conscious of WI)
Later on whilst cooking a butternut squash & red pepper soup I had a lovely glass of red wine taking me to a total of 12 syns for the day.0 -

morning,
well i went over my syns big time yesterday got a huge urge for chocolate so went into whsmiths and got a malteasers bunny (so nice) but they were doing 2 for £1 so i picked up 2 cos it was a bargain. and what did i do?
yep i ate both of them grrr:mad:
then before i went to bed i saw that my dad had bought a loaf of vogels bread and decided to have 2 slices of that toasted with i cant believe its not butter light.
then this morning i was running late and didnt have time to prepare my food for work so i went to marks.
bloomin yogurt i got was 7 syns as was the apparently low fat crisps.
the salad i got the plain ham and egg one but it has salad cream with it and i really like salad cream so i will probably have it.
AND my blueberries have gone mouldy
need to get on the sw tank instead of just half heartedly following it.0 -
hi
used to go to class but fell off the wagon and about to join online... BUT no scales, hopefully will arrive tomorrow - does anyone know if i sign up online now and stick in a guess weight if I will be able to change the weight once i have weighed myself tomorrow?
jsut want to start meal planning etc!!
thanks so much for your help!
SarahThank you for the reply, I have just joined up on the online Slimming world
I havent spent enough time looking I guess, and I am tired, so I think before I judge I need a nights sleep, but from having a quick browse, boy does this look hard!! At one point, I thought omg what have I got myself into...
There are a few things I find contradicting, the one that sticks in my mind is bisto gravy, I couldnt find it listed anywhere so I searched it on the sins online and it said 1 sin, but then when I looked up other meals with gravy it said 0 sins. For instance it gives you an alternative meal to sausage and mash, and the alternative it gives specifies the sin free sausage or quorn sausage, mash potato and bisto gravy as a free food, so is bisto a sin or not?? Does anyone know, cos I love my bisto, i'm like the bisto kid
I am sorry for the waffling, I still haven't had chance to read everyones posts, but I will get around to it at the weekend and hopefully pick up some tips along the way.
Apologies now, but I think I'll be bending everyones ear over the next coming few weeks with things, I am just so confused but its not hard to confuse me :rotfl:
Thank you all again, and well done to you all for sticking with this and losing so much weight, I do hope it happens to me soon xxx
Don't worry you will be fine, stick with us and you will be able to get loads of support x0 -
Hi all! I have WI today, and I am not hopeful at all! Was really good all week until Tuesday night, when I went to meet my ex-boyf. It was all every stressful and emotional and so I gave in and went for Indian food with him. I ate whatever I felt like, and will thus be pleased if I don't put on too much! Been firmly back on the wagon yesterday, and today's food plan is:
B - fruit + yog + oats (HEB)
L - jacket, beans, cheese and salad (HEA)
D - chicken, cous cous and roasted veg
S - mullerlight, fruit:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner
