    Afternoon Peeps

Just got back home from the Hosp...... Im now the Proud owner of a Pink signed up consent form for my Op :T and my Pre Op asses thing is on 21st Feb. MAGIC NEW EAR -COME TO DIZZY

Now on the SW front things have not gone quite sooooo well :o Not been able to do any shopping yet except for a few essential bits, and my verrrrrry naughty MIL took us to a pub on the way home for a pub lunch  a piece of steak & ale pie with mustard mash attacked me as I sat there minding my own business!!!! how very rude

Anyway...... Damage limitation ......she had apple crumble and custard (old bat lol) I had plain ice cream cos she said I had to :p

But.....Im home now and have rummaged through the freezer and cupboards, and tho I dont think things are going to be entirely SW between now & Thursday night when I can WI and more importantly get a shop done - I reckon I can sort of 'wing it' fairly ok without going completely off plan. Added bonus i suppose is that I can free a few tupperware boxes up from the freezer of things that arent 'totally' SW (but not mega dangerous either :o)

So roll on thus night/friday morning !!!!!!!!!!

I have got my voucher from Bella, so am off to class in the morning. I'm still not sure if I shall carry on going to meetings, I used to go, after swapping classes to a more 'modern' consultant, but used often to feel that the class was dominated by one or two people who did all the talking and who were friends of the consultant. I'll play it by ear, it will be great to have the books to refer to again, I can't wait. Sad isn't it!!

Had to skip lunch today as I worked through, and haven't felt particularly hungry. It's a temptation to eat too little sometimes, but I do now make myself eat breakfast.

Welcome to everyone trying SW for the first time, you will get all the encouragement you need here, even if you decide not to go to class. Everyone's situation is different; if you can't go, don't stress about it.

I did read through old posts, there is an up-to-Christmas thread, which gave me loads of ideas for meals and plans, as well as a good laugh! I have a Word doc open all the time, and cut and paste recipes to refer to later.:)

MrsM - Master Sary had a gain this week, and regained the 1.5lb he lost last week. Sorry I completely forgot to mention it, bad mummy! I did tell him all those Christmas sweets/choc were going to catch up with him, but I think he' was confident he'd have a maintain this week. I'm rather pleased he's learnt the hard way, as he'll get complacent otherwise and think he's got this losing weight licked. Somehow not possible on a diet of chocolate and fatty foods methinks. ;)

After a manic day of cleaning everything in sight, today has been a more gentle affair. OH and I had a shocking night's sleep too, so it's just as well. I think we both had that 'back to school' night's sleep, worrying about the alarm not going off, and I've got a head cold with a stupid cough too which isn't helping... that and keep getting up at 3am for a pee. Must be my age.

I've got a lovely beef casserole bubbling away in the slow cooker, and it smells divine. Really looking forward to having that later.

EE day as usual for me:
B - banana, FF activia, Alpen Light (half HeB)
L - Morrisons Eat Smart Carbonara pasta (1 syn), added mushrooms & lean gammon (O.M.G.!! This is absolutely lush, so much of it's only 1 syn!!!)
D - Beef Casserole: lean beef shin, bovril, swede, mushy peas, pearl barley, potatoes, carrots, onion & seasoning.
Snacks - Muller light, Alpen Light (other half of HeB)
    HeA - 250ml milk
I can't believe I'll have eaten all that lot and had only 1 syn! Crikey. I might allow myself a yummy treat this evening then, or add a bit of cornflour to the casserole to thicken the gravy up a bit.

I'll report back later with the final result. Have a lovely SW friendly evening guys.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • I'm hvaing sausage and mash for tea  gonna get some fruit out the freezer today, haven't had any fruit in a while.
Looking forward to WI on Thursday, I am hoping for me 1 stone award, and I think I may just scrap by! :j

Hi everyone. I worked last night and managed to resist the pizza everyone ordered! However since waking up this evening I have consumed 6 Ferrero Roche (or however you spell the dam things!) and a bacon sarnie (without the rind etc!). Guess it's a red day for me as having quorn sausages and mash with veg later on.

Bit of a change on the food front, wasnt hungry this morning so had a nana and a yoghurt (0.5).
Had my weetabix(B) for lunch, snacked on melon this afternoon.
Dinner was Quorn chicken burger (2.5), WM roll (B), ketchup (1), beans, SW chips and cheese (A)

Have used both A+B and 4 syns. Will have something else later if i'm hungry.

Also prepped tomorrow nights dinner, have chinese pork marinating in the fridge, smells amazing.

My new years resolution is to try 1 new recipe a week. Making the Mechado beef this week too, have bookmarked loads of recipes in the world of flavours book.

Hi all. I've been well off the wagon for two full weeks and am now terrified about WI on Thursday. Am trying to do damage limitation for the next two days so tonight I will be having chicken and vegetable stir fry. Tomorrow's menu will then be:

B - frozen mixed berries (on offer in Tesco's) with fat free natural yoghurt
L - chicken pasta salad with feta (HEA)
D - jacket potato with tuna, fat free cottage cheese, peppers, tomatoes and grated cucumber

For snacks I will have fruit and 1 bag ryvita minis (HEB)
