Evening gang. Welcome back Dizzy - glad you had a great time.

DKAM - I'm a shortie too, I try to claim to be 5' 2", but my BF has measured me and says I stretch to 5' 1" if I stretch my neck, and try to stand v-e-r-y tall. It definitely makes us undertall for our weight.

I've been to WI tonight, and was glad to get 0.5lb off this week. I was sure that Christmas indulgence was going to catch up with me this week. It took me a good few days to get back into the swing of things again, so I don't ever want to go on days of eating with gay abandon ever again, it was just far too difficult to switch back again, and I hated being out of control... even if it wasn't mega bad.

    Food today was EE.

    B - banana
    L - 2 x bacon, 2 x eggs, mushrooms, tomato, beans
D - 2 x wholemeal bread (1 HEB & 4 syns), cold beef, ketchup (2 syns), tomato, satsuma, ff Activia
    HEA - 250ml milk

Breakfast was eaten on the move, as I was busy doing housework all day, trying to crack on with getting the house back to some semblance of normality. I think fighting with the christmas tree to get the lights off it must have worked off about 1000 calories! I was fighting the booger for about an hour, and if it had been a real tree, I'd have thrown it in the bin with the lights still intact, but as it's an artificial one I needed to get them off. *note to self: find a better way to put lights on the tree next year, for the sake of your sanity*

I was one of only 5 people in our whole group to lose this week. The consultant looked very crestfallen at the groups mass gain. I have to say I was really disappointed with our meeting this week, as all the consultant did was read out a new booklet that the newbies get in their pack, but that they want older members to buy for £1.50... she then read out every page of the booklet in full, including the recipes and all the principles of Extra Easy again. AS the lady next to me said, there's not point buying that booklet now she's read it to us in full! I'd much rather hear some of the group's anecdotes and ideas, success stories and useful tips. I asked about Joe's sausages, and the consultant had never heard of them, and neither had any of the group, but told me to go to a butchers about 8 miles away to buy sausages on a Thursday, that are 1 point each! I can get the Morrisons ones that are 1/2 a point each. None of them seem very tech savvy, and know nothing about SW forums, or minimins, etc., so the most they know of online is the SW website itself, but as we don't really get to chat as a group, no one gets to share any of this info. It is very frustrating, but I know the lady who is the consultant has been doing it for a few years now, and does seem to have a good relationship with a lot of the older ladies who attend. The group itself seems to have some lovely members, from what I've gathered, but it says something when in more than 2 months there's been no taster evening, new products being discussed, only promotion of the SW recipe books, which I presume bring the consultant revenue. I know I'm just in a minority who have a poor leader, so don't be put off any newbies.... and the stand-in consultant who covered for our's holiday was lovely, very lively and gave lots of good tips and anecdotes, and you really felt she'd done the journey we were on, and was still living the plan.

    Anyway, whinge over.

Off up to bed now, because OH is up early for work again tomorrow. My stinking cold is making me snore like a diesel train at the moment (so I'm told!) so he wants to get off to sleep earlier to make up for being disturbed all night :/

Hello everyone.... I've had 4 weeks ish off plan (maybe a bit longer) and I must say I haven't been good at all.

Hello Dizzy, glad you had a fab time... I'm looking forward to jetting off in the next 3 weeks.

Well... after my break...I went off plan 2 wks before Christmas as my heart wasn't in it for some reason so I thought best to dip out instead of posting everyday that I had been naughty and not stuck to plan as that would just be v boring for you all (and annoying)

So I have weighed myself this morning and I am up to 12st 10.5lb:eek: so I have put on 7.5lb in that time. No grumbles as I deserve every ounce. :o:o:o

I am just waiting for my food shopping to be delivered so I can start eating some fruit and veg and free food... all I have in is bread and that is now banned for the next 3 weeks. There is half a giant toblerone left too so that will go in the freezer with the mountain of sausages and bacon we bought back (can't get it here).

I need to do a meal plan for this week and I have ordered a slow cooker and steamer they should be with me in the next week - I am a saddo as I am really looking forward to getting them. I've wanted a slow cooker for ages and I can't get them here and bringing one back in my case would have costed a fortune in excess baggage, but Amazon now do free delivery to Poland if you order over 25.00 yipppeeeee. So they are sending my kitchen equipment now.

So my first question of the NY...

How many syns in Sainsbury's BGTY frozen extra lean pork sausages? I am guessing at about 0.5/1 each.... please say so as I have 60 of the !!!!!!s in the freezer :rotfl::rotfl:

    Rough plan for today...EE
    B - coffee
L - roast veg and cous cous (B for the oil) and free the rest (half veg, half CC).
D - sausage casserole and veggies (half a plate veg) (depends on how many syns the sausages are)
    Snx - 1 banana & yoghurt (2) and leftover lunch (F)

Do you think I need more superfrees?

Is 126lbs too much of a loss to aim for with SW? Realistically i need to lose that much to have a healthy weight/BMI!

It's not unrealistic at all as long as you realise that it's going to take a while. Any amount is achievable through any diet plan, and the plus side is that SW will give you better habits - considering you have a good amount of weight to shift being on the SW plan will fit to your evolving dietary needs much better than a calorie counting diet.

Essentially, as you drop the weight your body needs less and less energy to function throughout the day. If you were on a calorie controlled diet you would need to re-evaluate your intake every couple of months, whereas SW is very 'hunger based' (you eat until you're full) it will fit into your regime much smoother.

If you want to lose the weight and have realised that the only reason you are the weight you are is because you've overeaten, and the only person that can lose the weight is yourself, then you can lose any amount you want to. If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. You are the reason. You are the motivation. You are the one and only. This is a new you.

As for me, I've now lost 51lbs in 23 weeks. I'm fairly happy with that although I thought I would have lost more by now, but weight off is weight off and I'm much healthier than I was. Another two stone and I'll be what I want to be.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.
