Mrs M has lost 100lbs so far so not unrealistic. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Evening all and welcome back Dizzy!!
I've stuck to plan today and have also done a 45 mins walk so that's 3 of my 5 exercise sessions done for the week!!! Just about to see if I can work out what to do with some lychees I bought in Morrisons.....any ideas how to prep them anyone?!0 -
Hi all,
Well! 9 years to the day I first started Slimming World I will be returning for the last time this Thursday - not that I dislike it just that I want to stop yo-yoing - am getting too old for all that nonsense!
Unlike the first time I did it (and lost 3.5 stone in 5 months) I now have a husband to lead me astray (wine, eating out & adding things to SW receipes that are synned  ) and no longer living with my Mom who kept me on the straight and narrow.
I aim to lose a minimum of 77lbs by Christmas 2011 (maximum 105lbs if poss) based on my knowledge of my current weight (and hoping it's not more on the SW scales).
Will be joining you lot from today so I can pick up any changes in syn values that I used to eat!
Any suggestions for a quick free breakfast that will fill me up until lunch? Now I've moved further away from work I have to leave stupidly early & don't want to get up even earlier to cook pudding rice or cooked brekkie.

Pshaw don't worry about your bottom - you're bound to lose some off there but remember bums are a secondary sexual characteristic (you can guess what the primary one is! and bosoms and bums are secondary) so you need a bit of a wobble thereI lurrrrrve my bum.

My only "issue" is lunches - I don't want to do sandwiches and I don't have a fridge at work...so I'm going to have to look into that a bit....any advice most greatfully received!!
No fridge maybe, but do you have a microwave? I make up a regular dinner-style lunch, I don't put it into the fridge as our lunchtimes are limited, so it takes less time to heat thru in the microwave. Really if your workplace isn't too warm your food should be ok on your desk or whatever for 3 - 4 hours, I've never had a problem.shelley_crow wrote: »Right, i've threatened to start sw again and I will, starting properly tomorrow. I did sw in 2009 and lost three stone quite quick.
I can remember most of what we used to do but I can't remember what we used to snack on. I snack a lot at around 7pm after eating at 5pm, this is my main problem. Would like some healthy substitutes if anyone has any suggestions x
I pop a Muller light into the freezer around 1.5 hours before the munchies are due ... it is then icy frozen in parts, ice-cream texture in parts, and just cold yoghurt in the middle bit, it's lovely. Also, it takes a bit longer to eat when it's frozen
and - Welcome Back Dizzy!!xxxx:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Hi, does anyone know if SW is ok to follow while breastfeeding? Is the plan any different? Cheers, Kel0

Well done!! :jSkint_Catt wrote: »Any suggestions for a quick free breakfast that will fill me up until lunch?
I have magic porridge for breakfast which fills me up til lunchtime. It's HEB allowance of oats mixed with fat free yogurt. Mix it night before and leave for the oats to soak up the yogurt. I either eat as it is or add fruit. It's very yummy. You can reheat gently if wanted (but need to be careful cos it's yogurt!). You are meant to have a scan bran too to make it a HEB (but I'm crap at remembering that!)

I never use the fridge in work either cos it's absolutely tiny (fits few pints of milk that's all really!), or I'm not office based all the time. I make my lunch night before (soup/pasta salad/salad/leftovers etc), keep in fridge overnight, and take to work and eat. It's never tasted odd or anything so presume it's fine :rotfl: , even in summer months. I am veggie though so have no idea if it's ok to do with meat!
