Hi Ruby
I was looking at your meals you had yesterday and wandered why you felt you should syn the beef and potatoes.
You say this was an EE day, meat and potatoes are free on this plan.
Or am I missing something?
Oh because my mum basted the bloody beef so it was covered in loads of fat (even though I trimmed all visible fat from my bit) and the potatoes were roasted in a bit of oil. So just the cooking methods really to be synned not the actual food.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Hi all I'm back and we wont mention the teensy half pound gain, will we? Please, if I'm quiet, can I clamber onto the wagon? The only sound you will hear is my pencil scratching as I fill in my diary sheet
Someone said the meatball recipe from the last magazine (probably the current magazine, as I've just bought one and I've already read everything in it, dammit) was good but the creamy sauce not successful, swedish meatballs I think she said.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

My fave meatball's are quorn with a hm tomato sauce with chilli flakes - YUM! Haven't been used to 'meat' meatballs before EE was invented! The swedish ones in the magazine did look good though

i think i am going to stick to the class until i get my club10 then go it alone at home. spending the fiver on veg.
ooh carrying on from the quorn conversation - i love the quorn frozen chicken nuggets - only half a syn each and they taste like mcdonalds ones!0 -
I'm just contemplating what to do with the HEA, HEB and 13.5 syns I still have left!!! I'm thinking perhaps some cheese on toast or something!!!0

I keep waking up in the middle of the night for a wee, which is really infuriating. I've always had my last cuppa of the day at about 8.30pm, now I'm not sure if my bladder has decided that I'm just too old to hang out past 3.15am, or if it's something to do with being on SW. Anyone else have a similar problem since starting the plan?
YES!!This is only my second week of SW and the first week I was up every night for a wee (and sometimes not just a wee lol, sorry if that is TMI!). It's settled down a bit this week but I still seem to be going for a wee every 20 mins through the day. Hope it settles down soon
Hahaha, almost TMI, but I was doing that the first few weeks I did SW too. Still am VERY regular, and worried I may have to call dynorod in for real at some point! I'm also going all day too, and may consider buying shares in Andrex if it carries on.Well done to all you lovely losers.
Sarymclary can I just say I think if anything (compared to what I put away) it sounds as if you're not eating big enough portions (but I am a pig!)
i
Well I feel like a pig the way I'm eating, and think I'd struggle to try to eat more ..... unless it was cake. I've never struggled to fit more cake in. Maybe I shouldn't be considering starting a cupcake making business after all?!!:rotfl:Dontknowanymore wrote: »Yes I went straight after the school run so hadn't had any brekkie, I was intending to eat before the school run but as usual just didn't get round to it.
I had already eaten most of it by the time I had posted so no, no superfree
I should really just go back to online grocery shopping, make life alot easier as I never get tempted!
I almost got caught out today, as I went to see my sister, and we chatted way past lunchtime. Fortunately she didn't offer me anything to eat, but I was hungry with a rumbly tumbly when I was walking back from her's. It would have been so easy to nip down the high st. en route home, and I admit the thought did go through my head to go to the s/mkt to get something. Then I remembered I'd tucked an alpen light in the bottom of my handback for just such an emergency, so I ate that while doing my 'body magic' walking home. I have to say I then felt very virtuous, and started to prep the evening meal chopping veggies & cooking mince, while munching on raw carrots and slices of lean ham to help keep any hunger at bay.
I think I will continue to carry 'emergency rations' with me at all times now, just in case it ever happens again. If you've room in your handbag, go put a couple in there now for another time like that. Online shopping is a blessing too tho.
I also agree that going to class can be brilliant support. I've finally managed to get chatting to a few more people now, but it's taken sticking with it for more than 2 months now. I had a really enjoyable meeting last night, and had a good natter with about 5/6 other members sat near me.
WI last night, and I was expecting a STS. Don't know why, as I have religiously filled in my food diary online each day, but was just convinced that I might not have the full 1/3 s/free each meal as I should. Anyway, I needn't have worried, and I lost 1.5lb and got my 1 stone shiny :T:T Yay! I'm a sticker lover too!!:rotfl: (probably should get out more, but hey ho).
Anyway, here's the food plan for today: EE
B - Apricot, banana, ff Activia, Alpen light (1/2 HEB)
L - Alpen light, ham, carrots
D - H/M cottage pie: mince, carrots, celery, onions, gravy granules (2 syns), mash, baked beans
I've been way too light on syns today, so need to make sure I indulge more tomorrow. I'm sure I can put in the effort needed for that
Well done to all the losers, and good luck to anyone weighing in soon! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

I love Asda's meat free meatballs - they aren't entirely syn-free but very low syn, I put them into a chilli tomato sauce usually:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
