They are free on all plans :T0 -
Oooh! I didn't think there were any free sausages any more after they put Morrisons Eat Smart ones up - whoop! :j (free on all except green I'm guessing
)

Has anyone tried the Quorn chicken style pieces (frozen) ?
Have fun with the curry. I think it is (was) a speed food (although strangely not superfree) so fill your boots! :T I do it in stir fries with loads of veggies (tastes fine like that for me?) or in a tomatoey sauce.
I don't tend to brown mine - not sure if others on here do? I just chuck them in the sauce and wait for them to defrost & warm through - they don't need cooking as such. Which is a pain in the bum if you're stir-frying, because I always miss-judge it and the veg ends up ready while the qourn is still frozen inside!
... I remember ex-BF didn't like it and claimed to have almost thrown up having tried it in a dish I madeI still think he was exaggerating - he was a bloke who thought nothing of having an extra large donner kebab for lunch on a regular basis! Stupid !!!!, quorn would have been much nicer and MUCH better for him
Does anybody have a recipe for mayonnaise? I generally do extra easy, but it doesn't have to be free, just not ridiculously high.
I don't have a recipe (although I seem to recall one being around involving fat free fromage frais, mustard and sweetener?) but I use helmans extra light stuff, because the syns in that are really low.
... unlike my lunch out, which it was a bit of a mistake having coleslaw on my jacket spud I think  it came as a HUUUUGE spud laden with creamy coleslaw - about 7.5 syns for the coleslaw by my book's reckoning. Plus there was butter in it, hadn't thought to ask for it without like I usually doAnd not even a side salad garnish - this has happened a few times recently, and I like my salad garnishes
In fact, I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with wanting it with everything at the mo
I don't have kids, but wouldn't it be great if that was all I craved if I was pregnant! knowing me though it'll be chocolate, or some other such ridiculous thing which nobody actually believes is a real craving, just you being piggy! :rotfl:
Anyway, 4 syns for butter takes the jacket spud to a costly 11.5 syns, but at least I was not in the least bit tempted by the toasted teacakes mum and friend had afterwards, and after yesterday's cream cake episode she was on her best behaviour
So I go into the evening withut many syns (although I may sneak in a piece of fudge later) but 2 b's and an a still left. bring on the suprise ingredients in mum's healthy enough sounding mushroom risotto!
Served with salad

Im a complete Quorn virgin....but I saw this in Asda on offer at £1 at the weekend so thought I'd try it, not been brave enough yet though
It says you can do curries & stir frys with it though.
Try the Quorn southern style chicken burgers, they are yummy! 2.5 syns on green and down to £1 for 4 in sainsburys.
Had a good day SO FAR! However my new fridge has arrived and it is lovely, if a little big(will take some getting used to i think). However my old fridge is still in my kitchen, it is blocking my oven and i cant move it on my own without scraping my hardwood floor and hubby is at work so don't know what to do for dinner as it required cooked in the oven:o Might treat DD to a dominos and just have a little. Bah, best laid plans and all that. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
They are free on all plans :T
Do you mind me asking where that info came from, and when?
There's a recent (dec 2010) thread on minimins about sausages and syn values:
http://www.minimins.com/syn-values/180032-sausage-question.html
Someone has posted all the Asda ones and they are all syns even on red (of course, their information may not have been straight from SW, so maybe someone who is a current user of the website can double check).
Hope you don't mind me sticking my oar in, but I know if I thought sausages were syn free I could quite happily eat 4-6, well even if they are the 1 syn ones that's 4-6 syns you didn't know you were having.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
