  • I would love to do zumba - it's supposed to be really good fun so go for it if you can alisont :D I looked online for a DVD but the only one I could find (ages ago) was expensive. I think other exercise DVDs incorporate some of the zumba moves though as a few 'general' exercise ones came up when I searched for zumba.

Forgot to say WOOHOO to MrsMc going for the Nepal trek - sounds like an amazing thing to do - you must be so excited!! :j

I think I'm sailing close to the wind *pardon the pun* eating both at the same time - it could be grounds for divorce if I'm not careful!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Btw, am I the only one who actually likes scanbran?? :o

No - my OH loves them too - strange!!

I've got the scan bran carrot cake recipe if anyone wants it.
I bought a package of SW recipes off ebay so have them coming out of my ears now - some really good ones. I am going to try the mexican dip one this weekend.

Wootball, equally, maybe there are more ways to lift someone than to put something else down. As you can see, plenty of people on here love getting stickers, and are positively motivated by it, so it'd be a shame on such a supportive thread to de-value that for the people who do place great value in them.

Christ, I literally cannot win. I debate with someone and get personal attacks and a bandwagon forming. I support someone and those that disagree with the sentiment form yet another bandwagon. Give it a rest! I LIKE the stickers, the front page of my book is filled up with them (19 awards in total), and I do feel as though they are motivating and great when you earn one.

But the poster I was responding to specifically singled out the stickers as a huge reason that she is demotivated. She is fed up of seeing other people get them without getting any for herself and it was getting her down - so to devalue them is the best way for her to pick herself up and say 'you know what, they ARE only bits of paper and at the end of the day, worthless' and get back on track.

Please, I'm begging the members of this thread, please stop being so Haribo about everything! What works for you does NOT work for everybody, and equally what works for them might not work for you - so if my advice (which is always, always personal to that member and not generic) isn't something that works for you, that is ok. It doesn't need you to jump in and start having a pop at me for being negative when the only thing I'm doing is trying to give that one individual poster a psychological pat on the back.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Woot..you have a very wise head for such young shoulders. :)

You are as much entitled to your opinion as anyone else that posts on this thread, or indeed on this Forum.

The fact that your opinion, or advice , may differ from others doesn`t make it wrong, it just shows a different perspective... I`ve always found your posts helpful, and your forthright manner , somewhat refreshing...Never really been into the cliquey stuff myself .:)

I do hope you continue to post, Woot...it would be a very boring thread if we were all of the same mindset:)

When I saw the reply to your post I thought uh oh here we go again :o. You remind me so much of my son & hubby as they 'bite' at the slightest comment from each other and I'm always saying especially to my son "just bite your lip and don't let the comment get to you". So that would be my advice to everyone really not just you woot, don't 'bite' at the comments on here just say 'whatever' and let it go.
I personally found nothing wrong with your post, I thought it was very supportive. Yes some love the stickers but its not the be all and end all of losing weight [helps a bit though :D]. I haven't been to class this time so have no stickers but its not bothered me. What makes me feel better is the way clothes fit and my reflection in mirrors [sometimes :p].
So keep posting woot and keep being supportive. I think by now we've come to understand you can be a bit abbrasive sometimes but your hearts in the right place [mostly :rotfl:] [Now don't bite at that :rotfl:].

Sorry that turned into an essay :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
