    Hi

I am a SW target member (albeit out of target at the moment) who is going to take a break from attending class because I'm finding it all too much at the moment.

Does anyone know what happens when I go back. As I wasn't at or within target range last week when I last weighed, I am thinking that I will have to pay the membership fee to rejoin when I do decide to go back?

    :D

If you do decide to have a break from group, you would have to pay the rejoining fee etc when you go back. You would also need to want to lose at least 7lbs (or be 7lbs above the lowest acceptable weight for your height).

I'm inclined to agree though with whoever it was (sorry can't remember) said you need group more when you're struggling or you could find the slope slippier than you ever imagined

Aww never mind hun.....just stick at it, there may be a really simple reason why its happened.

have you kept a food diary so your consultant can look at it and check what you are eating?
Have kept the food diary and handed it, will see what comments i get back
Are you making sure you are eating your HEA & HEB Every day?
Have stuck to HEA and HEB

Are you eating 1/3 superfree fruit/veggies with each meal?
This could be where i'm really going wrong, out of all the fruits listed i only like apples so unless peas and sweetcorn count as superfree i'm not filling a third of my plate

Is it *week or anything? fluid build up could be the reason.]
Not that week, but my mood has been crap this week and i'm finding it hard to eat 3 meals a day when i'm used to eating just one meal

I'l try and do a proper shop this week and plan all my meals in advance

I was wondering about syns and whether it's best to have a steady amount each day - say 10 per day (which the consultant at the meeting i went to said should be the max for women) or to have a different amount each day?

Some days I have 18, other days I have 3 - it all balances out right??
(I make sure to have a weekly running total in my head so i stay within a suitable limit in total)

Is there an official SW line on this? What does everyone else do??

It really doesn't matter whether you choose to have 10 syns a day or 70 syns a week - what matters is that you count them properly and don't save them all for a binge on one night......if you want a blow-out, it's better to have a (rare) Flexi day.

Actually, it's surprising how good the awards can make a member feel and if they give you something to work towards then they are very important to you.

I agree with the last bit of this post - forget the long term and just work to get to the end of today on plan, then do the same tomorrow and the next day until you get to target.

I lurrrrve my shiney stickers......such a child at heart still :o lmao :rotfl::rotfl:

Peas & sweetcorn are FREE but not the Superfree:( (I made this mistake when I started....I was shovelling them down thinking it was counting :o)

onions, toms, mushrooms...they all count when you make a spag bol dont forget ;)

can you maybe have a small dish of salad before your main meal if you cant 'pad the meal out with veggies? or make veggie soup & whizz it all down so you can have a bowl as a starter (or just a big bowl for your lunch?)

Moods can play a big part in losing weight :( hopefully when:) you see the scales move in the right direction when you get organised.....it will give your mood a lift hun ;) x x

I have a pair of weight watchers scales that show your weight and can also calculate your bmi and I find them reliable.
Remember though that you need to weigh yourself at the same time if day and whilst wearing similar weight clothes for your reading to be accurate.

Sainsburys have Salter scales half price at the moment, down to £15. Its these ones http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/bathroom/120566148_salter_glass_body_analyser_scales.html?hnav=4294963718
I just picked mine up from my local store. They are out of stock online but there were loads in my nearest sainsburys.

I'm struggling at the moment, been back at uni and struggling to take enough food with me to keep me going during the day! However i have decided to start getting a plain baked potato from the cafe and take my own measured cheese in with me. Don't know why i didnt think of doing it earlier:o
So today has gone a bit awry, but i'll be back on tomorrow.

    Flying visit again!
Blackberry - I am an online member - is that why I can access the site so easily? Do the class members only get part access?
I agree with Dizzy and Consultant31, the awards are a great motivational tool - I only got a virtual one as an online member and was surprisingly pleased! When I went to class a few years ago, my OH got lots of SOTW and other awards, and it made his book a badge of honour. It's different strokes for different folks but everybody has their own ways to get motivated.
Just had the curry from the latest magazine and it was yummy! OH followed the recipe and did a marvellous job! SW are so good at authentic curries that are syn free!
I am a great fan of MBTs and fitflops (in fact I will be selling fitflops from next month - yahoo - will get mine at cost!!). The only proviso I would say is just be careful as skintslimmer said - they are lethal in ice or slippy conditions.
Great losses here this week, commiserations to any maintainers or gainers - it's a long journey with ups and downs - hopefully more downs!!
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........
  • Evening all.
xxxxmessedupxxxx stick with it hun, you will get there xx

Ok so I have been feeling rubbish all day about my STS, I'm surprised I have not had a massive blow out, well I was contemplating but then knew I would end up feeling even worse, so I bought myself a fish bake and some crusty bread from morrissons and having that for dinner, I know it's high in sys, but I just feel like I want to sort of treat myself, I have been completely on plan all day and have yet to even have any syns so my reckoning is that it wont damage my loss for the next week too much if at all. :o
