Green tea is high in antioxidants, which go around hoovering up the nasties in your body, so enjoy your cup or two of green tea with pride that you are being nice to your body
To be honest it tastes horrible, just I can just about tolerate one cup if I let it cool and drink it quick :rotfl:
I should cut down on the caffiene intake. My job is quite stressful ( I work with disadvantaged teens) so I tend to drink lots of coffee!! My colleagues are the same so it doesn't help, as soon as someone's cup is empty the next round starts! Going to try to have one green tea a day.

I want to loose 6 more stone but ultimately 7 depending on what I look like when I get to 6, I have a big bum and thighs, the big bum comes from me caribbean nan lol so don't think it's going to completely shrink, so dont want to end up looking like this skinny minnie with a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge batty! :rotfl:
Im a bit "um n ah" at the moment as Im almost sure my scales are wrong ... they are saying Im 12st 7lbs and that I started at 19st 9lbs .... I had them new when I started SW and I really don't think I am that light (I tried shoving hubby on but as he didn't know his weight in the first place -he is no help) , but I refuse to buy a new pair on principle(principle being that they cost a bomb out here :rotfl:).... SO I know I have still lost the 100lbs -but believe I started heavier than they said and so Im now heavier than they say ... if that makes sense
..... After all that I would like to get to about 3st-ish off .... Im only 5ft 5" and at the moment Im in 18s and some 16s and would go absolutely  if I can get to a 10 (think I was born bigger than that) although my mum points out I was a teeny tiny scrap of a thing until I was about 6 *damn*
Thanks fitorbust -lil me was right ...sorry I had stuck the syns at the side of the title of the sauce not by the cream... I can't remember who mentioned they had made the the sauce the other day but said it wouldn't do 4 servings.... you could try adding in fat free fromage frais/quark/yoghurt to bulk out the cream for less syns
.... I get away with it as I don't like lots of sauce so tonight I will do masses of onions n mushrooms and add the cream but just fish mine out so I only really pay for what has coated the mushrooms
-hubby gets the rest ...
Skintslimmer -sorry missed that earlier...
I do my lamb with lamb steaks -I use these:-
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Frozen_Meat/Tesco_Lamb_Leg_Chops_2_per_pack_350g.html
and if you look at the bag -you get 4 in a bag not 2-they are really nice and as yet we have had no fatty ones..in fact they are hubbies fave and he is funny with lamb... (I on the other hand pre-sw LOVE fatty meat
)
Anyhoo -I chop big chunks of carrot/swede and 1/4 onions and drop in the bottom of my remoska sit the lamb on top and cover in foil and cook for about 30mins, then I will add about 1/2 mug water and cook until the lamb is tender- add the granules (I needed 3tsp) and then cook until the gravy goes all thick n sticky -then add in mint sauce to taste (or dried rosemary mmmmm).... I have just checked on the syns in my gravy granules and looks like they have changed as they are now 1syn per tsp (swines :rotfl:) -hope that waffle makes sense-as with the creamy sauce I tend to make it so that it more coated in sauce than swimming in it (don't like lots of gravy either)
Well I have been good this morning and burnt approx 600cals on the wii ..I programmed in a routine of 45 mins alternating between "step" and "target and heavy bag boxing" and then 15 mins playing tennis to cool down....:A:rotfl:I was soooo warm by the time I had done I nearly opened the door -despite the snow
Anyway, enough waffle from me (Its like war n peace)... have a lovely afternoon all....

the green tea thing - it's supposedly meant to aid weight loss by speeing up the metabolism and therefore speeding up the rate in which your body burns fat making you lose weight quicker
BUT......
To be quite honest it does tatse icky and if i drink it i have to pack it full of sweeteners, which helps
the reccommendation is that you drink around 3-5 cups a day to see a difference in weight loss, it's supposed to help boost your weight loss about a pound a week, i'm not sure if it's true though.
but on the up side, like skintslimmer said you can enjoy green tea without feeling the slightest but guilty and you don't have to use up your HEA by adding milk.
flutterbyuk25 - have you tried drinking decaf coffee, this could help you cut down on the cafine intake, if you can't give up the caffine completely, you could try mixing half a teaspoon of decaf and half normal, there's no taste difference and you're cutting your intake down by a half!0 -
For all those who don't like green tea because it's bitter....you're brewing it wrong. I went to a tea tasting course (i like tea!) and bascially you should not put boiling water on green tea because it scalds the leaves. You should aim for a third of a cup of cold water and then top the rest up with boiling water.
And thanks SkintSlimer! Hello, Im newish here, going to join a class tomorrow evening and want to lose 86lbs to take me back to my pre pregnancy weight.... my dd is 20, so its been a blooming long time coming! Ha
I now weigh heavier than ever before, I have no clothes that fit comfortably (except pj's) and recently broken a zip in my best jeans and another pair of trousers have ripped because they were so tight! How shameful is that!!!
I refuse to buy a size 22, as I may "grow" in into them too, so hopefully this will spur me on a bit!
I will be 50 next year, and have spent all of my 40's weighing more than 10 stone........so hopefully I will be slim by the time I hit my 50's and will have met the man of my dreams.... might as well throw a lottery win as well........ as you can see Im not hoping for much!!!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for that MrsM, gosh 7 stone you must look like a completely different person!
By the way peoples, I'm doing my first ever red day and on the healthy extras it says 227g raw baking tattie, so does that mean I can have 227g of sw chips? i mean the weight before I cook them?0 -
