nope, not there, maybe just missing from my pack?
  • Evening all ;)

Big congratulations to our losers, some good 'uns!! :T Best of luck to anyone weighing in tonight.

Another green day for me today:

B - mushroom scrambled eggs (half HEA for splash of milk)
L - 3 scanbran (3), 3 light cheese triangles (HEA) & tomato. Dynorod soup *parps more than usual* :o
D - pasta with HM sauce, 21g lighter cheese (half HEA), co-op wholemeal pitta

Will have a fibre plus for my second HEB & some fruit/yog later but don't fancy anything in particular for my syns so probably won't bother with any more tonight, nice to know they're there if I 'need' them though.

I'm getting a bit sick of my lunch already, tend to have the same thing every day & I'm thinking the dynorod soup should be renamed anti-social soup as I can't stop trumpeting!! :o I fancy trying some different soups, maybe the pickled onion tomato soup?? I can't stand pickled onions (although I do like pickled onion crisps ) but I'm intrigued as to what it tastes like. Also fancy the butternut squash/sweet potato/parsnip soup that someone mentioned the other day, that sounds nomnomnom!!

Oh & daisy, I agree with bettyb on that lb so don't be hard on yourself either way!! :naughty:

Have a good evening folks

Bought new scales:eek: Will pick them up tomorrow, mine are dying a death. Dread to think what the new ones will say:rotfl:

They are Salter ones, reduced from £30 to £15 in Sainsburys.

Well done to all the losers:T

I see that some of you are doing "Green Days", EE days and Original Days, switchning from one to the other. How do you manage that? I do EE and that's more than my brain can cope with.:rotfl:

I've spent 9 months doing EE and I've only just felt confident enough to try something different hehe. I've gone back to carrying my book everywhere!!

Are Oat so simple a HEB, and if so is it just the plain one?

i used to always have butter or flora with egg on toast, sometimes still do, but i have found that if you cook the egg so the yolk is still soft you can pierce it when it's on the toast and let the runny yolk soak into the toast, making it nice and soft and you hardly notice the lack of butter/marge.

I have found that a small amount of natural yoghurt makes the toast much better. I also sprinkle on a little bit of 'low salt'.

sounds fab - would you mind sharnig the recipe plz?

bettyB - I adapted this Nigella recipe to be SW friendly. I used lasagne sheets instead of the tortillas, and cheddar cheese instead of goats. I only put cheese on the top not in the bean layer so it works out as an HEA and no syns for the portions I had.

I don't either. I do my WI at home though, and on a Monday morning so no chance for a treat before work!

I MUST drink more water though, I will agree with you on that. I drink loads in the warmer weather but this time of year I never fancy cold drinks. I never drink squash or anything like that either.

try warm or hot water Penny, I think it's lovely in the winter when a glass of cold water has no appeal! And the nice thing is, if you don't drink it right away and it cools down, it's just cold water. It's not yucky cold tea or cold coffee :(

You honestly truly cannot taste pickled onion in the pickled onion soup :) Honestly. Truly. And any of your favourite vegetables can be made into a soup as well as (individually or together) the ones you mentioned above. Cauliflower. Broccoli. Celery. PS also really nice if you syn (or HEB) some little cubes of cheese into your bowl of soup when it's hot. Mmmmmmmmmm :D(home made soup: dryfry or in a little stock cook chopped onion and garlic; add chopped vegetables and a little more stock. Cook until softened. Blitz, adding more liquid to the consistency you prefer. It's faster to cook in less liquid, that's why I add more at the end. Obviously add herbs, spices to suit your taste.)

I'm still noshing my mashed-potato-base quiche. As well as other things of course, including the second half of my last night's (WI night) Indian takeaway. I have that as a treat most weeks, but it is always Tandoori mixed grill so apart from the onions being a tad greasy I count it as almost free :A and I eat ALL the boring lettuce-y salad, and the nan bread gets chopped up for the birds :A. sorry for repeating myself, I know I've told you this before. Blame my age & ego!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
