  • Yep have had a couple of viewings so far so am glad people are interested in looking! no feedback as yet and its still very early days ...
Have done a 2nd day of shred and even I have to admit it was slightly easier than the first day and dont hurt as much this morning so very possibly that means some kind of progress! My aim is 3 times a week and any more than that a bonus! Goal is a wardrobe and a drawer full of lovely clothes (and some new/pressies) that i want to be able to fit into again! - free clothes without having to spend a thing! :rotfl:

will update MF/owing the world total after the payments are all out!

Bonus- got £50 from halifax for opening another reward account with them and will be £5 a month too for that! yay! :rotfl:
  • Evening all!
Catching up on the week and diaries with a cuppa!
Done the shred 3 times in the last week and a half! not bad going I dont think am hoping I will have a toned body a la jillian in no time!
    Mortgage-savings balance for the month is: £119 492.74 :D:j:beer:
Still got enough spending money for the month and food shopping for the month £113 (we may have some slightly strange combinations towards the end of the month!)

finally £21.21 tcb payment on its way too!

no other moneymaking news! Hoping OPs will be on the up from next month too now most big bills are paid for ....
  • *phew for friday*
    :)
cheap version of takeaway pizza express meal deal from tescos - wedges in the freezer, pudding and wine in fridge for another day and 2 portions of pizza left for lunch/dinner tomorrow! all for a tenner! ;)

quick question- any ideas for other things to do with sausages- got some in the fridge (no freezer space!) some cooked for sandwiches , but too hot for sausage and mash - was thinking of some kind of sausage /veg pasta thing .... cooks tips please!! froggy?...... :rotfl:

This is good, I usually make it with chipolatas but sausages would work too:

Sausage and puy lentils also yum too.

This looks good, not tried it but OH makes a sausage pasta thing where he removes the skin and does it with lemon zest and thats quite good:

    OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.20
  • mmmm thanks mw that looks yummy!! will probably try the beans/veg one for tomorrow!! do you reckon you could freeze that? (tho that would require another freezer shuffle!)
off to lunch with a friend today then mostly chilling later- am quite tired so wont be a problem! ;) contemplating the shred later but we will see how well that works out!....

I'm going to try this one. Thanks
I am always looking for something different and easy to do. Sausages should be a hit with the kids!

TYO Have been given a food processor by Caroline73 so going to try making your soup next week :p
    MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j
  • Hey Pammy! :)
Ooo yay on the food processor- good luck on the soup!! I pretty much find you cant go wrong with it (except once when I put waaaay too many potatos in it and it ended up like mashed potato with tomatos in!)

Thats the sausage recipie I went for too- i adapted it a bit with the veg I had in and added a tin of tomatos so 4 portions of it in the freezer and one for mrtyo's tea tonite (see I do feed him! :rotfl:)

Have taken card out of my wallet so other than £4.50 of clubcard vouchers am vowing not to spend any more on food shopping till payday (26th) we shall see how we go- it may mean some slightly odd combinations of food but need to run down the cupboards a bit!

lazy weekend , lunch with friend and seeing my nan today (taking h/m cake from the freezer!) , feeling a bit under the weather so need to sleep/relax later in prep for work tomorrow :(

still- when I think back to a year ago, my mortgage has reduced by about £10k and we have a solid chunk of savings behind us for emergencies and one place on the market, so things are infinitely better with no real noticable changes to our lifestyle (I dont think anyway- mrtyo will probably come on here and tell you all how he is now being forced into a life of starvation and slave labour! :rotfl: - poor thing!)

I heard i was allowed food for the first time in ages, instead of foraging off the floor. I came home quietly in case i was caught eating it to find it had already been eaten....... i managed to lick the remains from the sink off though so that should last me another week!

As a random note i forgot my password and had to do the reset my password thingy. It took like 12 attempts to get it right!! Has my I.Q dropped alot or are they really blurry and inaccurate because i swear i got most of them right. I tried the audio thing then cried as i couldnt hear it properley!

Heres hoping your all well and fed! (unlike me ./cry)

Good luck with not goimg shopping, I find that popping out for bread, milk and fruit usually results in me spending a fortune!

Mr Tyo, hope the food you managed to acquire keeps you going for a few more days. :D
