Thanks Lois - and from mrtyo
I quite like the idea of two peoples sides too as I know a lot of people are working really hard at this on thier own, others with 2 people in one way or another!
Well- am I glad its the weekend....one of those weeks where tiredness catches up on you and work was a bit of a struggle! Am getting quite interested in peoples perspective on work , as at the moment the thought of working being told what to do till Im 67 grates on me a fair bit!Though I guess this is life unless you take the risk and do something self employed (which too would have clients wanting you to do things a certain way!) wanting to have a bit more autonomy perhaps in the whole work-life balance which I guess is why the MF idea appeals so much to me!
In other news... Did a storecupboard /freezer inventory yesterday (boy do I know how to spend my fridays! :rotfl:) and I think we have enough food to feed us for a while - plus if the zombies attack everyone is welcome round here!Am going to try and correlate into some kind of meal plan as at the moment it is just a big long list! summarised in short as "things you can make from tomatoes and tuna", "things to go with pasta" "things to go with rice" "random tins of things like hotdogs and mushrooms which could be made into something" and "deserts/baking"
re-listed a cd on amazon which would make about £3 profit, not sure its worth it but £3 is better than nothing I guess!
Need to tot up my credit card total as have paid for contact lenses and a hotel stay with friends (not very MSE but very good for the soul!) plus a few bits and bobs like cards and some expenses which I can claim back from work in august! Will come back with total...
Got a £1 top in new look but realised Id picked up the size 6 instead of 12!! wondered why it was a bit tight ...still it "technically" fits! may have to give it to skinny friend tho! Also a gorgeous maxi dress in the sale down to £15 which will do for weddings/posh do's if I ever need to go to any!
Also bought some ELF stuff (mw if you are reading look on the grabbit board for this) eye makeup as it was down to 75p per item for mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow (plus delivery) with a code on grabbit! not sure yet whether it will all go into present box or for me!
Hmmm..this isnt looking very MF with me totalling all my spending! will sit down and work out savings total from next month to make myself feel better and more virtuous :A0 -
A batch cooking day today so far have made
6 x veg curry dinners to have with mango chutney in the fridge and 25p pittas in the freezer!
Probably 5 portions of chilli with a £1.50 whoopsied pack of mince to go in the freezer plus enough to feed mrtyo and his brother when they get in from work
3 packs of cakes for 10 p each in the reduced section at 3pm so shall feed them that for desert (and breakfast tomorrow! :rotfl:) Also managed to get 6 bags of tortilla chips for £1 not bad going!
Was thinking of making hobnobs and cookies but think I may be all cooked out for today!maybe later in the week ...
Just chillaxing with a cuppa and catching up on diaries before trying to do the freezer shuffle later!
Totted up credit card owed which shall do once expenses in! plus waiting on tcb still!
Holiday spending stands at £200 cant wait!0 -
Arrggghhh - I've missed the elf discount!!! Although probably good idea given how much I've spent on cosmetics of late
. Do let me know what you think of the eyeshadows - I've not tried those yet, only the mineral eyeshadow. And if you spot any more deals and have the time, please, please, please let me know on my diary as I have an email alert set up for when people post

Radish.... have been avoiding the fact that today is Monday......weight loss total + 1/2 lb in the wrong direction  However , mrtyo came home yesterday saying he had ordered us a fitness dvd which his friend recommended ...."apparently everyone knows about it" "what is it? " I asked.....

Enjoy itMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Afternoon all!
Back from a lovely holiday in the countryside , very relaxing!
Have been baking/cooking all day to feed us for this week as determined to make it to my £100 shopping budget this month! Have done well on whoopsied stuff and made 3 batches of soup and some potato salad from some 15p bags of carrots and a 30p bag of potatos , have 3 pies in the freezer (whoopsied at 50p) and an un-whoopsied chicken roasted for sarnies for the week and dinner tomorrow too!
oh and I may have made a cake too....
Having said that it has taken me most of the day to get this far so just having a cuppa and catching up with the diaries on here!
Flat is now finished and on the market so keeping fingers and toes crossed for it to cross paths with a buyer who wants it!
Back to work this week  payday this week so that should make it all a bit easier too!
not done much else to report, did one workout dvd this week and one or two little walks on hols but have eaten enough to counteract it I think! doh! still the fridge is now bursting with healthy things so diet begins again tomorrow!0
