At the moment saving £300 per month into a saving plan and over paying my mortgage by £100 hopefully I can manage a year, just need a new contract as not working at the mo.
  • Right, sorted out all my savings today so I know the amount I am going into 2011 with.

I added up all saving accounts plus the little pot of savings I keep in doors where all my spare change goes etc.

    Savings Total: £23,550.00

:) Lets hope 2011 is another saving money year!
  • Wow that is a great total. How long has it taken and what are you saving for?
  • Driving_Soon.. about the same as me.

Put deposit down on holiday today. Total will be £700 as opposed to the £1.5k+ Florida would have cost. So a 'future saving' I guess. Also was SO tempted to get a limited edition guitar today... would have been an impulse buy. So technically 'saved' £650 lol...

Christmas was very expensive for me :(

    Thanks! :D

Well, I worked full time between August 2006 - May 2008, where I managed to save 16k, since then I have been studying and managed to save the rest working part time.

Not really saving for anything tbh ... just for the furture.

Well I almost made it by the end of the year - now at £6,216/£6,500 - hopefully I'll make it by the end of Jan and then I'll need to come up with some new targets - probably mortgage related.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year!
