Anyone here want to join me with the same target date?

    Hi all,

Haven't posted on this thread before but have been following you all for a while (not in a creepy way... honest:o) Just wanted to say that this is my end date too. Am hoping to have £15,000 plus £1000 towards a fab holiday I have been dreaming about for years!

  • I'm annoyed with Santander. The online banking for my credit card doesn't work. I log on and get an error message and it gives me a phone number to ring. Twice I have rung this number, been given a different number to ring (should have written it down the first time, eh), phoned that, spoken to very nice people who assured me that a temporary block had been applied to my account in error, that it was a known problem that has affected many customers in the last 6 weeks, and that it takes 2 working days to remove. Of course, two working days later it's still there. So, I am annoyed with Santander.

I want to know how I did for July but I've no idea how much I spent on my credit card. It's the card I use abroad so I didn't bother keeping track of my spending as I usually do, it's easier to pick it off the credit card statement.

I'm annoyed. With Santander. And myself.

That sucks - I just got a Zero card to transfer from my current 0% deal that's about to end. Still waiting for the online banking stuff to arrive. Fingers crossed it all works!

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Very impressive! How are you able to save so much money per year, if you don't mind me asking?

I want for very little and have a decent job. Not really bothered about holidays or new cars or takeaways or nights out etc which makes everything fall into place. Prefer to enjoy the lakes and a round of golf and I'd rather make sure of future security for me and family, which makes me an eternal pessimist! :)

Woweee, the big guns have come out to play, some cracking current figures and targets going on at the moment.

Nice one pawlala, I like you're target of per year. I'm kinda hoping the same for 24k a year, but I can't really plan that far ahead for now. Looks like I might be having to plan a career change so the deposit might be headed elsewhere!

I really want to be able to save a lot more than I am now, But the main thing holding me back is my job, only work 16 hours a week and struggle with that due to my arthritis and type of job

I kind of want to give it up and put more effort into learning web design more - which is what I did at uni (graduated 2 yrs ago) but dont do much about it now due to work and the hours I do...
But if i give up work, will lose my tax credits hmm

Just gona start looking for a normal office type job now i think part time or something better hours so i wont be as tired and can learn more at home myself... its just doing it not just saying it!

Its really nice to hear about how much everyone is saving and really motivates me to save more too! just limited in what I can due to income/outgoings :)
