It was paid on the 30th, for the period 25th March to 29th April. I don't know why their month suddenly got 4 days longer, but I got the right amount of interest for that long month, so I'm OK with that :P

I didn't get around to calling them.. but thankfully it sorted itself out. I guess I"ll give them a week or so in future... but it is hard to trust them :D

I love beating the insurance companies at their little game. Half of them are the same companies, it's not fair that there can be such a difference between quotes for an identical service.

I don't know where I am with last month yet... but I did well on the interest front. £43 as opposed to an average of £30 over the last 6 months. This is the first time in months that I earned more interest in one month than the month before. It's just been dropping and dropping and dropping, as bonus rates expire, even though my savings have been growing. This is thanks to A&L 6% and transferring my paltry HSBC ISA (1.75%) :) Happy!

LOL yup big difference in quotes, so apparently admiral and dimond is a joint company.

Am glad your still saving well :D

oh and i eventually saw the guy i like he came up last weekend on my birthday :D

as for saving well theres not really any overtime going the now :( i guess cos the way things are right now not many jobs.

Just had some freelance payments through (Paypal) so once they hit my bank account, I should be able to siphon off around £100 for the semi-regular expenses fund. Just as well really as I had an email yesterday to remind me that I'm due for a dental check-up in a few weeks and still not got round to the eye test and new glasses so looks like June will be a bit of a depletion for that account!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)

My Santander ISA is now open with £60 in it - not a huge amount but glad I managed to get it open as they've taken it off the market apparently unless you have their current account.

Count Assistant also! but was ridiculously close seat. Just got home, started at 9pm so 12 hours, fee scale for a count assistant is £25.25 an hour so £300 up, straight into summer fund!

Such an adventure though. Had to recount three times, so many of us close to falling over at 7:30am when they said the dreaded words "total recount" of all 46,000 votes. :o

I was up all night as well but only because I love election nights.

So all my payments have gone out and I have 35,990 F in my savings account and 1,100 f in the currnet account.

I am really hoping that the savings will be the same at the end of the month.
