  • Hi
I've been lurking and reading the boards for a while and thought I should bite the bullet and join up, you guys seem to be doing so well and think i need help! Ultimately I guess I'm saving for a deposit (live in London so seems like it's always going to be a dream!), all savings i have are in ISA's, been thinking of setting up a regular saver but thought best to fill up this years ISA allowance first- have applied for the Santander one (!- i know think i should have just stuck with Barclays but oh well, still waiting to hear from them). Anyway better get back to work:)

Thanks for the welcome, folks :D

I'm looking forward to Friday - payday - when I can shuffle money about into various accounts. I tend to work a month in arrears so to speak, in that I transfer what's left over at the end of a month rather than setting aside at the start of a month. I think this is because at the moment my instant savings account is a "no withdrawal or you lose interest" type so I don't want to stash money then need it later in the month (e.g. this month I had to replace my computer so spent £275 that wasn't planned). Despite paying my deposit for the very expensive holiday I've still got something to save this month so yay for that :j

That's what I was thinking! Come on Tara, if there's a new way to shop that we don't know about, you're selfish to hold it back from us!
