next week ?
i once had to put in a cheque as the driving instructor i had couldn't teach anymore, so he sent a cheque, i put it in, and went straight to the cashmachine and it was in !
Well it was a week today i phoned the bank.
I was told to send a letter and print out statements and highlight the ones. I did that, that night and posted it the next morning.
I know i can't build my hopes up as if worst happened, i'll have to use my whole pay next month to to cover the overdraft am in.
Am kind of confused, as the bank said cos i was on the said they would have to fight for the money, but i was speaking to someone, they said its the bank at fault, they allowed the transactions to go through, and even when you had no money in the bank, they still allowed transactions to go through which made you overdrawn.0 -

It varies with my bank. Sometimes the money clears straight away and sometimes it takes around three days and as I didn't pay it in until after lunchtime it *might* take until Monday to officially clear so I just said next week to cover myself in case that's the case. More likely I can transfer it from the current account sooner than that though hopefully!
Good luck with the money, sounds like they're dragging their heels but fingers crossed that you hear something definite soon.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
Im really interested in this idea? how do i find out more about this? And how successful were you on your investments?
You can buy any gambling shares through the normal share dealing ways. To be honest they have not been the best investment but its a mental thing if you are interested in gambling.
Sorry to hear it was fraud dannii, thats actually even worse than it being your own fault. You should get all your money back though. Banks are usually pretty good with that kind of thing.Save save save!!0 -

Ah! All that trouble with the betting sites sounds really horrible!
Do what I do, if you ever use sites, always use a credit card and not your bank account card.0 -
im saving for a new car at 6k, i was in bad debt last year and managed to pay it off, and now in a good position to save. When i had decided I was getting a new car, i decided i would SAVE instead of trying through finance etc. I think the best thing that happened to me was being in debt, it taught me a good lesson!!0

i got some quidco cashback today so i transferred it to savings, got £15.XX in there now lol!
May have to rethink my challenge though because I have to buy car tax at the end of the month and also I want to open a new isa so don't want to put all my money in my account because there is a penalty for withdrawls...0 -

Definitely, they're only mistakes if you don't learn from them. You'll make hundreds in interest, and save hundreds by not taking out the loan, be so much better off!

Got paid today. Spent all of it by 1pm. Although it took me a number of attempts. Getting a new PC but my card kept being declined because I was 'spending more than I usually do'. Argh.
2 phone calls to the bank. 5 to Ebuyer and my stuff is on it's way:D:D
Get student loan on Monday so most of that will go towards car insurance as that is due. Renewal is £909 (oppsy, lost my no claims), but GO COMPAAAARE, got me to £635 on Admiral. So going with them. Will be putting £300 into ISA next week as well.
Should be a good few weeks.
But we have no snow even though my area was red on met office! Bunch of crap!0
