Please try and disguise your shock but here's a serious MFW question. I've been pondering the same recently in my shuffling … but if Reg Saver doesn't the rate even out to 2.5% ('cos of drip feeding over the year), so what is the advantage of moving from 123? Sorry if I'm being dimmer even than usual ...
Nope, not 2.5%. You get 5% on all the money you have in there the whole time it is in. So for example, six months in you move your monthly £500 over to the Reg Saver. You've already had 3% on it for six months, now you get 5% for six months which averages out at 4%. People get confused and say it's only 2.5% - but that's assuming you keep it in a 0% account until it's required.

I hope you IRONED the sheets once they were dry? Well actually I don't, I hope you didn't … but don't tell Tilly if that's the case ;)
No I didn't :o. Much preferred it when I worked and had a cleaner who ironed them for me :D.

On this note, hope your new TD (without internal light) is not being used too much and it's all about hanging in the breeze out there? (the sheets, not you that is :rotfl:)
Tumble drier has been used pretty constantly . No breeze and sun alone, warm though it is :D, is not strong enough to dry. In fact, until I finished washing the last of the dishes/glasses today, the washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher have all been on pretty constantly for a week . Still a lot of towels to go :(.

Nice Spanish Man Who Does (SMWD) came out to look at house tonight and is going to quote for painting it before we move in :T.

    Nature Note:
Saw my first ever poinsettas growing as garden plants :T.

Today I pruned my orchard :). Well, I cut all the dead wood off the three orange trees and weeded underneath :rotfl:. A few little oranges which look pretty much like :D:D:D - don't think freshly squeezed juice will be forthcoming this year ;). Pleased they managed something though - they've had no water for two summers . Watered them today. Now need to work out how to water them without the wet soil running down the steps :rotfl:.

Gally, this is starting to sound amazing. I want to hear all about the plants, from orange trees on downwards :)

It does sound fantastic. But wet soil on the steps will not help prevent future pride injuries, so yes a plan is in order …

Relieved to hear about the sheets. Staying up late to iron things on which you will immediately lie down would be barking!

Thanks for explaining re regular saver shuffle (hangs head in shame that needed to ask). I will need to revisit my shuffle picture / plans … And, does opening a regular saver mean a credit check?

Can we just straighten something first? I have three areas of 'garden' i.e. with soil. The fruit trees are in the biggest bit which is around 3ft x 10ft :D. Not exactly an 'orchard' though henceforth I will be referring to it as such ;). Nice soil though - I'm used to solid clay which goes from potter's wet stuff to post fired overnight! This is proper soil-like stuff (she testifies, having been covered in it while sitting in the middle pulling out weeds :rotfl:).

My extensive research (aka quick google search ;)) says I can feed my trees now so will sort that out next week :T.

    Wouldn't have thought so.

Ah, okay :rotfl: I still love your orchard tho :j

And mulch will stop so much soil running down the steps when you water :money:
