    Nature Note:
Watching the sky change colour over the sea as it got darker :T, also discovered you can see the sea from a few spots on front terrace, cheered me up when hacking at palms gardening-smiley-emoticon-1.gif.

Fantastic news, great smilies, and well done on getting stuck in so quickly.
Make sure between the clearing and bin-trekking you take some time for a drink on one of the terraces looking out at the sea ... that amount of steps and floors you could have several drinks (and some chocs and chorizo) and still be in calorie deficit :)
Apols for lack of smilies - I'm typing on I-da!
Hope you slept very well ...

Nope, hurt my back :rotfl:. About to wake Mr GG for round two :D.

Mr GG back to UK tomorrow for 10 days . Trying to decide on Saturday whether to:
    a. Carry on working at the house
    b. Go to shopping event at main centre - combo of 'Black Friday' week and local stores discounts
    c. Combo of a & b
    d. Go to something I've just read about which is taking place in the hills behind me - a celebration of the 'matanza' - annual pig kill.

The latter sounds pretty gruesome - the advert translated has plenty 'massacre' and 'carnage' in it :eek::eek: - but very interesting, with guided walk and meal at the end of it. They used to kill the pig in the village - funnily enough I'd been reading Jose Pizarro's account a few days ago - but now it has to be done in a slaughterhouse and brought back, so not as cruel as it sounds.

That was a good day's work! I'm a big fan of working from the outside in, and seeing to the outdoors fits that description :D

As far as your plans are concerned, animals die so that people can eat meat, I think it's really good to have a connection to that fact, honestly, Gally :)

I went to a bullfight at Ronda one time, even as a longstanding vegetarian (I'd been informed the bulls weren't killed, and they weren't) - the biggest hit of the day was when a bull jumped over the safety barricade around the ring and charged after the assistant bullfighters (don't know the proper name, sorry) who were lolling about there - they had to either jump into the ring where the bull should have been, or into the crowd, it was good :D

You should also go to that because you've hurt your back! And a nice hot (long) shower is also indicated.

  • Sorry to hear about your back ... did sound like a Big Day's Work. Take it easy - one terrace at a time :D

On Saturday, matanza does sound interesting, but I'm not convinced a walk in the hills is necessary with a sore back after a hard week. Do what you feel like - remember it's annual and (famous last words) next year you won't have just bought a house. Are there things you want / need at the shopping event?

Make sure Mr GG wears a mask and muchos disinfectant and doesn't bring any more colds back ...

How smutty you all are - I only meant when he's working in dusty conditions ;).

    Not-Nature-But-Laws-Of-Physics Notes:
3 sonic booms in last few days, air force practicing overhead. Made us go :eek::eek:.

Around 30 bags of stuff emptied from new house . Unfortunately including lots of bedlinen and tablecloths etc - mildewed as all piled up on top of one another :(.
