Holly, read your lovely post again, thank you :kisses3:. If all of us who have a diary on here could inspire just one person each, how amazing would that be :T. To people in real life (and on MSE) who say life's too short to pack your own lunches/Tilly Tidy/ebay/meal plan/cut out coupons/use charity shops etc - I agree life's too short. That's why I didn't want to spend it at work :D.

Mention of onions made me smile - every time I see a bag in Lidl I remember that :rotfl:.

Went to friends for medicinal mojitos last night but it didn't really work :o so lazy morning in the house with lunch with lovely neighbours later - they've been here six weeks but go home tomorrow :(.

    Nature Notes:
I do miss my red kites out here but saw a beauty while back in the UK - soaring round and round in the sunshine, quite low so could see its lovely colours :T.

Just for KC - we have a lodger - meet Lenny :D

Thanks GG. I think we all agree you have inspired many more than one person …
Sorry the mojitos didn't work, hope you find some more effective medicine at lunchtime smiley-eatdrink017.gif

And hello to Lenny. But surely not enough for a very substantial Tilly Lodger Burger? ….

    Lenny :j

    Hello Lenny :smileyhea

Gally, I do agree you could write a book - like the Chris Stewart one that was a bestseller, Driving Over Lemons - you have the right lightness of touch and wit. I can write, but I couldn't write a whole book like that to save my life.

Yes you could KC - just a bit at a time, as we all write. No one writes great screeds in one go. Well I am excluding Tom Clancy Clive Cussler etc from this - but this is what kindle is for.

KC - just seen Lenny :j:j:j. Hoping he makes a public appearance for you later on :D.

I've only seen him as I'm still poorly sick :(. Have sent Mr GG out to play with friends - we have a quiz reputation to uphold :D and I am trying to drown the cold in gin . Friend arriving from UK tomorrow - hope I'm ok to get out and about with him :(.

Still no news on new house :(. Today we bought a gate leg table and four folding chairs for current apartment - not exactly what I wanted colour & design wise, but exactly what I wanted price wise :D (€85 delivered, brand new but from 2nd hand shop) so one out of two is not bad :T.

    Nature Notes:
    Lenny, as above.

Two hoopoes flying low across the car earlier :T.

Add a touch of brandy to the tea ....it'll make you feel so much better :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks for the Nature Notes, Gally :)

So sorry to hear you're that badly lurgified, not nice in any weather, and you've been down for a while now.

patanne thats really sweet, thank you!

  • Sorry to hear that … just goes to show what coming to the cold island (and finding no favourite jumper) can do.

Hope your friend arrives with no more germs and you shake yours and are up and about with enough strength to click your fingers for more drinks soon …
