Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Nature Notes:
- Got wolf-whistled at by a parrot called Paco today :rotfl:.
Going to Halloween themed quiz next week - any ideas for costumes?
In money news - had to buy new washing machine today. Slightly cheaper than the UK but they deliver, fit and take the old one away :T. Coming tomorrow so won't need to open door with scissors any more .

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Great idead there NG. I have decided it will be a scary one. Am not exactly creative and am restricted to what I can find in charity shops and Chinese stores. Current favourite is this - mind you, cereal is expensive out here so may cost quite a bit to make
. Would actually like to do Nightmare on Elm Street as our street is Calle Olmos - Elm Street - but not sure how easy it will be to get outfit, will try Monday (not got moving this morning and charity shops only open till 1.30-2pm Mon - Fri).
Are there any local Halloween traditions, Gally?. Will probably get a pumpkin
but they seem expensive out here, unlike the bargainous ones in Mr M
.
Made a big pot of potato, tomato and red pepper soup this morning, blended it and even strained it so ultra smooth :T, currently defrosting a chicken breast and will shred that to poach in soup, and add some left over Serrano ham on top. Quite a lot of food left over from when friend stayed and we ended up eating out most of the time
so trying to use it up, also friends have gone back to UK for two months
so gave us some veg. Beef stew with red wine also on the go
. Nom nom
.
