    Visiting that UK place for the week - still in Spain for the mo. Watching outbound flight - just taken off. It was 30 degrees at the weekend - not really sure what 15 degrees will feel like any more :rotfl:.

    Am going to do some pressie shopping while I'm there - list written. Have remembered to pack some folded nylon shopping bags :T. Bringing a 'suitcase' back - 2 large tartan bags to be put inside each other and fastened with parcel tape - no point bringing a suitcase each way :D. Parcel tape now added to shopping list :o.

    Lovely weekend, out and about with friends at local Fiesta (aka 'hunks on horses' :D) then helping them celebrate their anniversary last night. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn on Sat night and had to retrace our steps - 2 mile walk home became about 5 miles :rotfl:.

    Nature Notes:
    Just killed a cockroach :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    You are super organised to remember shopping bags, those 5ps will make all the difference to your retirement planning. I bought a chippy on Saturday night in the NE and my free carrier felt like the end of an era :D

    The heart sparked joy in that it would be a fond momento of the first time we bought and sold a home and how it wasn't a total !!!! up. On the other hand, it's !!!!!!, so it will stay where it is :rotfl:

    Have a nice time. :)

    As for carrier bags, I hadn't heard they were being charged for until reading this.

    Ed: Surely the Chip Shop will still give carrier bags? ... I may have fish and chips tomorrow just to test the theory. :o

    Our local one doesn't, you pay for a bag or walk away with them in the paper.

    Apparently in Engerlund it's only big shops/supermarkets where you have to pay for bags. In Scotland, it's every shop.

    Ours wraps in paper and gives a bag with their shop's name on, even if you only spend £1.00 on a cone of chips. Thought they all did that, to be honest.

    I've not been charged yet. Might have a walk into Sainsburys to see if they'll charge tomorrow.
