I am confuzzled as regards how possessions are meant to spark joy? Perhaps my wedding ring or the watch Mrs E gave me on my 30th birthday?

I think I may not be the target audience.

Ps. Loving the nature notes :)

If that is what sparks joy, then I believe you need to rid yourself of the rest... Could make for interesting situations...!

But what if other people have their joy sparked by my possessions... like the continued wearing of trousers, for example :rotfl:

You are only responsible for your own joy...:D

That's great that you know Spanish well enough to make that comment :)
I don't :o. It was just the odd word - like 'ya' which supposedly means 'already' - but seemed to be used in the context of that awful American phrase 'enough already'. Also there were a few bits where a whole sentence equated to 'si' or 'no' :D. I am currently learning adjectives, maybe I'll throw a few Spanish lessons in for free as Nature Notes seem to have dried up for now.

  • How long until you move? Hope that is not a sensitive question...
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Oh dear Ed, I missed your sparking joy comments first time round :rotfl:. It applies to everything, not just clothing, so if that heart on the wall doesn't spark joy it has to go :D.

Bank balance/spending diary balanced to within €4 which is equally  and :T - must have gone wrong somewhere :rotfl:.

I'm finding the bigger picture really confusing at the moment though - ideally I'd like a separate savings account to put money in every month for irregular spending and then transfer what was needed on a monthly basis, but my bank doesn't have anything suitable. Basically there seem to be no instant access accounts in Spain at the moment as the base rate is only 0.05%. There are accounts fixed for 1 year but nothing else :(
